    Funny to run into your video, I just got out of Saltwater/Reef Hobby after nearly 25 years into it. I sold My tank, Eco Tech powerheads, Giesmann Lighting, Massive Apex Setup and Nyos/Trigger Systems equipment. Saved up all the Cash and used that to purchase my Onefinity Journeyman as I have taken up wood working as a new hobby over the last couple years :) Glad to see your still at the hobby, be interesting to see what you have planned in respects to the Reef hobby, I'm guessing Stands? or Acrylic Frag Rack type stuff?

      Sounds like you purchase the Onefinity CNC to start making some reef tank and get back into the hobby lol.
      I have a CNC, Laser, and a ton of printers and 98% of the stuff I make with them is reef related.

    Hey nice video, just a fun quick tip with fusion 360. When you do a bore or drill operation select the same diameter. After you select one hole it will select all the rest. just saves time. I learned this when I had to drill over 360 holes in a cribbage board.

      Haha that would suck to select 360 holes. Thank you for the tip. I knew it existed but I haven't used it so I just keep going back to selecting each hole. I'll be sure to select same diameter next time. I am very new to the manufacturing workspace in Fusion 360.

    How did you shorten the path? i'm running into this same issue with the tool starting to far out. Beyond the limits.

      Hi Mark, I was only over by like 2mm and I fixed the issue by moving my X zero point 2mm to the right of the edge of the board.

    How are you liking the machine so far? Im hoping to get mine next month

      I love it but I've only had time to make 2 projects so far. I am going to be making a video on these project so you should be seeing them in the next few weeks.
      I suggest you get everything ready prior to getting your machine because it can take a good amount of time to set up your work area.

    Please, remember to flip the board so fast that you can´t see it..... beginner´s error. Madre mía!!!

    That was so far beyond from simple. Apparently I was supposed to have an engineering degree before I got my onefinity.

      Yeah it does have a learning curve. I started from scratch a few years ago but you have to be determined to figure it out. if you get frustrated just take a break but never quit.
      I highly suggest you learn Fusion 360. This is what I use to create the things I want to cut and generate the tool paths. After just a few of the basic tutorials you will start to get the hang of things. Try to put in just a few hours a week and you will be making whatever you want in just a few weeks

    hey, is there a link to the file?

    • @ISeaLive
      @ISeaLive  3 роки тому

      I can't share the file because It likely won't work for other people. You would have to have the same size wasteboard and router bits. You would also have to secure the board to the same location. If you just got this machine and you need to create a wasteboard I suggested doing it yourself. It will help you to get familiar with the machine and the software you are going to use to generate tool paths.

    I run my surfacing at 240 ipm at .02" deep

      If I have just gone that deep on the first cut I would have been done hours earlier lol.
