Florida has only met Miami 5 times in the last 25 yrs. FSU was a regular opponent for Auburn in the 80s, in which Auburn has won 75% of all meetings. Auburn has 3 undefeated seasons since 1993. Who else can say that? NO ONE.
Alabama only has two (roll tide) 2009 & 2020. I remember when Auburn wrecked Steve Spurrier's life for the second year straight. Terry Bowden suffered is first Auburn loss in 1994 to us. But, it came down to the wire. I love Auburn more than I'd like to admit, plus I miss Steve Spurrier. Things are changing and aren't like it used to be. Auburn has always been a fear team to Alabama. Lastly, I have this game on VHS and watch it once a year because this was a statement game (unreal finish). Auburn wasn't allowed to be on TV IN 1993 because of probation. I'm showing my age.
@@rscotta831 yeah you right, just not thinking right now. I'm actually a Gator but we are both Panthers! I played reciever at Dillard High, lil Calvin & Brian gave me my first motivation to get up from a big hit. This is one helluva hit, he'll be missed.
Gator fan, WE ARE SEC Champions EIGHT times. The 1993 SEC Championship game was the RUNNER-UP game. Auburn 38 Florida 35. Auburn 22 Alabama 14. That's spelled S-E-C CHAMPIONS, YOUR Auburn Tigers. We have DOMINATED FSU with a 75% winning percentage. Of course, you know full well that domination feeling when Auburn's on the bill. Perhaps you'll catch us one day, with a Wuerffel or a Tebow. Oh wait, they're a combined 2-4 vs. Auburn.
Poor Frank Sanders. Only 2 TDs on the day, including the game-winner, which helped propel him to being voted 1st Team All-American. Poor Frank Sanders.
"Touchdown Auburn" my first Auburn painting... My little sis gave me that painting for Christmas and I treasure it to this very day... Auburn football is our thing and I love everything about it... That one print has become 15 and I wouldn't trade them for anything... War Eagle and I LOVE YOU Little Sis. BEAT WASHINGTON 2018!!
College football nerds more south florida players, MORE chest beating, hip thrusting, taking helmet off celebrating!! F.Sanders, B. Robinson, C.Jackson, J. Bostic. Dillard High School finest, you guys are the best!!!
I was working at Riverchase Car Wash vacuuming cars when this game was on. I remember the Frank Sanders catch. I yelled some stuff. Celebratory stuff… Great day.
people forget that AU's offense had really struggled that year until the week before against a very good Miss. State team - they hit their stride that game and it obviously carried over to this game. The most fun I ever had watching a game on TV
I recall watching this game. At halftime I went in the backyard to throw the ball with the dog and jumped over a fence to get the ball when it bounced over, and landed directly on a 4" rusty nail, right through my shoe and into my foot. I knew I needed a tetanus shot but wasn't about to leave the house until I saw the end of this one. The end made the wait at the urgent care clinic that much easier. War Eagle!
Me too! There was a TERRIFIC pizza joint down there. Wish I can remember the name of it. Remember seeing Andy's (Fuller) old man after the game and giving him a gigantic bear-hug!!
One more thing. I was in that corner of the endzone where Sanders caught the TD. Frankly if memory serves AU should have won by quite a bit more. Weren't we up 17-0 at one point?
As painful as this game was, it was one of the best football games that I have ever seen. Poor Sanders had a terrible day, but all of that was forgotten, lol. Go Gators.
This was just an absolute perfect gameplan by AU!!! The TE down the seam was called the Gator play. They saw on film that UF left that play open on film before the game and then just abused UF with it.
All of the media talking heads like Corso who insisted they simply could not rank a team on probation ranked Georgia the very next year despite the fact they were on probation.
I for one don't miss the helmet throwing, over-the-top chest beating, and moronic "look at me" antcs of the early 90's - big kudos to UF, FSU and Miami for always keeping it classy
Dean was a Senior. Wuerffel was a Sophomore. Dean started the first 6 games of 1994 and was the leading Heisman candidate...until he met the Auburn Secondary.
Auburn had one timeout left, so they could have stopped the clock after a Wuerffel sack. Obviously a Shayne Edge punt could have put Auburn 10-20 yards deeper in its own territory vs. the Brian Robinson INT and 10-yard return. But with 1:20 left, the "take the sack" point is likely moot as Auburn drove 55 yards for the winning TD in just 50 seconds without needing a timeout to stop the clock. Given a punt, Auburn could have easily driven another 10-20 yards with 30 extra seconds remaining.
A classic is not one team dominating the 1st half, the other dominating the 2nd half, then having their final possession, to tie the game, stolen from them by a pathetic spot on 4th down. Classics are back-and-forth games like this one.
Why stop there? Tuberville helped retire Urban's ass in 2010 after two additional fluke wins in 06 and 07. Urbs pissed his leg when he saw what Cam did in 2010. Urbs wanted no part of the SEC any longer. LMAO

I'll never forget how awesome classes were at Auburn the follow week and cool the signs were on campus. I think this game took us to 18-0
Bama fan here but I loved this game. One of the greatest in SEC history.
RIP Calvin Jackson. Dillard Panther for life! Dam.
Calvin didn't play in 1994. However, he did make a HUGE difference in 1993: ua-cam.com/video/0dMy1l4zHGQ/v-deo.html
@@rscotta831 yeah you right, just not thinking right now. I'm actually a Gator but we are both Panthers! I played reciever at Dillard High, lil Calvin & Brian gave me my first motivation to get up from a big hit. This is one helluva hit, he'll be missed.
The Dillard High 5 were huge in '93 and the Dillard 3 were big in '94.

The number 6 team in the nation on a 17 game winning streak, 16 point underdog. The disrespect...
The usual…
Thanks for this, love the AU radio crew!
You're welcome!
Jim Fyfe was great back in the 80's and 90's. He called some of their greatest games of all time for Auburn.
Poor Frank Sanders. Only 2 TDs on the day, including the game-winner, which helped propel him to being voted 1st Team All-American. Poor Frank Sanders.

One of my favorite games ever even though we were on probation.
At least the games were in TV in 94
I was fortunate enough to see this one in person…It was a visor flying kinda day…War Eagle!!
College football nerds more south florida players, MORE chest beating, hip thrusting, taking helmet off celebrating!! F.Sanders, B. Robinson, C.Jackson, J. Bostic. Dillard High School finest, you guys are the best!!!
Man...I miss Jim Fyffe so much!
Dang, I miss Jim Fyffe!! he was definitely an Auburn Man!!!!! R.I.P
Huge AU fan here. But I must say Spurrier's teams were so monstrous at those corner and post routes.
By recording the radio broadcast when it originally aired.
You could see how much those players like Thomas Bailey loved playing FOR Auburn. Last years team are a shell of this, all the way around.
It’s funny coming back to this video and reading the commmenrs from 10 years ago. Auburn played FSU for the NC the season after this comment.
I was working at Riverchase Car Wash vacuuming cars when this game was on. I remember the Frank Sanders catch. I yelled some stuff. Celebratory stuff… Great day.
Trollface: 1993 38-35, 1994 36-33, 2001 23-20 U MAD Spurrier
Auburn 2010 and 2013 as well as 2004 not only did those teams have a good offense they also had a good defense as well
people forget that AU's offense had really struggled that year until the week before against a very good Miss. State team - they hit their stride that game and it obviously carried over to this game. The most fun I ever had watching a game on TV
got any others? I'd be interested in any mp3 radio broadcasts w/Jim Fyffe...
Email: rscotta831wareagle@hotmail.com. I have everything from 1993 Florida-present.
One of the greatest nail biters of all time.
Nice! I have a recorded VHS of this game :P
Man it's good to hear Jim Fyffe's voice again
Nice video man and nice edit....I see we are in the same city by the 31 logo in the corner lol. War Eagle!
Thanks! WDE!

That game by Andy Fuller was the best game I've seen a TE have not named Winslow or Gonzalez
Witten, for Tennessee was a game breaker as well.
It was one of the best, I still remember where I was
Me too! There was a TERRIFIC pizza joint down there. Wish I can remember the name of it. Remember seeing Andy's (Fuller) old man after the game and giving him a gigantic bear-hug!!

I do too and I was only 12
1:30 left up 4 points with the ball near midfield and Florida throws the ball deep into Quadruple coverage
That was spurrier for you. He was notorious for wanting to tack on as many points as he could in a game and it bit him in the butt that day.
Thanks for posting this video! WDE!
Anthony indeed got a foot down.
That is what the Tigers are all about. War Eagle. I'll never forget this one.
As painful as this game was, it was one of the best football games that I have ever seen. Poor Sanders had a terrible day, but all of that was forgotten, lol. Go Gators.
Channel 31, WAAY, Huntsville, AL
Still a wild game!!
as a die hard UF fan this game still eats at me
I feel bad for Terry Dean, grew up an Auburn fan and got plastered by them
This was just an absolute perfect gameplan by AU!!! The TE down the seam was called the Gator play. They saw on film that UF left that play open on film before the game and then just abused UF with it.
Yep
Andy Fuller = Beastmode
All of the media talking heads like Corso who insisted they simply could not rank a team on probation ranked Georgia the very next year despite the fact they were on probation.
Another Nix at QB next year
Can you believe it, can you believe it...nothing better than mr. Fyffe RIP
1994 National Championship for Auburn Tigers
I for one don't miss the helmet throwing, over-the-top chest beating, and moronic "look at me" antcs of the early 90's - big kudos to UF, FSU and Miami for always keeping it classy
UF and Miami were THE two teams that defined the over-the-top chest beating and taking the helmets off in the early 90s. Classy my ass.
If you play like Brian Robinson did you can do whatever the hell you want
Not a fan of either team but it was funny watching Auburn handle Florida , Gators thought they were just gonna show up and romp Auburn. Lol
I don't remmember this year too well, why is Dean playing instead of Wueffel?
Dean was a Senior. Wuerffel was a Sophomore. Dean started the first 6 games of 1994 and was the leading Heisman candidate...until he met the Auburn Secondary.
I now see what happened, took too long for Spurrier to go to Wueffel.
where did you get that much radio broadcast?
By recording the radio broadcast when it originally aired.
Strange with the Nix family that their son now plays for Auburn as quarterback Bo Nix
Fuller vs. Florida in 94 by a light year.
Wuerffel’s interception is one he probably still regrets. Take the sack and they can work on the clock
Auburn had one timeout left, so they could have stopped the clock after a Wuerffel sack. Obviously a Shayne Edge punt could have put Auburn 10-20 yards deeper in its own territory vs. the Brian Robinson INT and 10-yard return. Terry dean QB for the gators is my football coach now at First Baptist Academy in Naples, FL his son is going to be even better than terry was
@Birmingham Stallions LOL, that was funny!
7:52 it's Chris doering
Auburn killed Florida with tight end play! Mismatches all OVER the field!!!
29:20- hello!
i was 4 years old
Lee Corso hates Auburn.
National Radio Champs 11 and OH!
25:00 Spurrier just throwing the game away. Probably the worst play call of his career. Weird.

Why?
It was a classic! Between unbeaten teams!

It was just a thought!
Liked your editing and the video style. Didnt know it only has to end one way to be on your channel. Cheers and no worries
Auburn Tigers banned again from the SEC Title '94
Lol Auburn would not have gone to sec title game in 94 anyway.
War eagle!
WAR DAMN EAGLE

Bowden wouldn't beat Spurrier again, with Spurrier retiring his ass in 1998. So Auburn can celebrate the two flukes in 93 and 94 lmao
Why stop there? Tuberville helped retire Urban's ass in 2010 after two additional fluke wins in 06 and 07. Urbs pissed his leg when he saw what Cam did in 2010. Urbs wanted no part of the SEC any longer. LMAO
