You shouldn’t get the premium 10.5 upper with a 9.5 mk14 rail and chf FN barrels. Also comes with the Geissele super gas block pinned and set screwed. Bought that with a moe ept sba3 lower and all from PSA. Got my lower sent out next day and it’s been 3 days my lower will be at my ffl tomorrow. Still waiting for the upper but should also be shipped out this week.

I don't know how their guns stack up but they have THE WORLD'S WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. PERIOD!!!! Try to call any of their stores and you will experience the abysmal service. They will make you wait and hour and a half to talk to ANYONE then they will bump you a round the store extension to extension with long wait times to you finally just give up. Their website sucks because it doesn't tell you their REAL inventory and you can't get anyone on the phone. I don't know how they stay in business. Again their CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have built nine PSA AR-15s. I have never had an issue with any of them. I haven't experienced any shipping delays. I have bought "blemished" parts from them and have yet to find a blemish on any of them. I have fired 100s of rounds through them.
They make good stuff in my opinion.

Bought an AR-15 pistol from PSA put 1000 rounds of steel case with only one failure to feed. I'd buy another from them.

    • @harrytuttle8161

Why shoot cheap steel cases ? I had a armalite shooting Wolf ammo , third round jammed in the chamber I needed a steel rod and hammer to remove this jam . The laquer on the steel case melts and turns in to a fine gritty / sticky grain . It was so bad the chamber had to be re-polished . I'll never use laquered steel cases again . I trust my AR with clean brass . I do not Trust Russian Steel . That's my experience . I have a PSA Freedom NATO Nitride M4 free floated with MFT furniture.

Only thing I've noticed from the pistol upper I got and my only complaint is the feed ramps scratch up the case pretty bad. Don't remember my service m4 leaving marks like that but there's no telling how much has been through that one. Maybe after a few thousand it'll smooth out on the pistol upper.

Literally I’ve been waiting for over 2 months now to order a complete upper in 300 AAC to finish my pistol build. Looking at two specific 8.5” models and it’s extremely frustrating. I’ve talked to PSA customer service and all I get is “we don’t know anything about when they’ll be back in stock”.

The buffer for the AR-15 is longer than a AR-10. Had the same issue, purchased the AR Buffer spring and Buffer for the 10. That fixes the Problem. I own both AR-15's an 10's. There is a difference. I purchased one it had the same issue as you did.Having several 10's and 15's it easy to change out lowers to trobleshoot issues. I've had no issues with my PSA AR's what so ever.

North Carolina has a 20 round magazine capacity limit??? I live in Georgia, but have traveled up to N. Carolina several times in the past few years for storm work ( i work on powerlines) and judging by the interactions and conversations I've had with most N.C natives and the overall "feel" of those areas, I assumed yall were still a FREE STATE...?? While that's definitely not as bad as other places ( cough, cough, Commie-fornia, cough), it's still very surprising to me, not to mention UNCONSTITUTIONAL! How long has this 20rd limit been in place? Do you guys have any other restrictions on firearms and/or firearm related items, beyond what the federal law currently states?

Really late on this one. Just wanted to ask, is your dad’s rifle a PA10 as well? I only ask because I bought a PSA stripped lower and parts kit but unfortunately in the AR10 arena there isn’t much of a spec that companies stick to like the AR15’s. What I mean is, 15’s have that interchangeability but the 10’s seem to be at the companies discretion. There is the armor lite and dpms specs but then PSA PA10 lowers won’t really except anything but a PA10 upper. I’ve heard aero can work with some modifications but if BCA is compatible that would be good to know. Have a blessed weekend.

my main problem with Palmetto is not the gun quality but the customer service quality. they don't seem to be answering the phone now and their outgoing message says they're shipping the January orders. Being that this is August that's a little bit ridiculous. I tried to find a way to communicate to confirm whether or not they'd accepted in order and it looks like I'm going to have to use the Postal Service. Given supply line delays you'd think they would double up on their customer service it's only fair to the customer

hey guys have a question … so for the PISTOL style ar15 can you SHOULDER the pistol ar15 legally? I read this that im about the paste. but pretty much yes? hah but wanted to get yalls opinion
    /////////////////
Tech Criminal Chief Kingery came around one last time to gift gun owners with a third and currently-final ruling about whether you can shoulder the pistol brace. Here it is, once and for all (for now):
“To the extent the January 2015 Open Letter implied or has been construed to hold that incidental, sporadic, or situational ‘use’ of an arm-brace (in its original approved configuration) equipped firearm from a firing position at or near the shoulder was sufficient to constitute a ‘redesign,’ such interpretations are incorrect and not consistent with ATF’s interpretation of the statute or the manner in which it has historically been enforced.”
This makes the ATF’s final position on the matter quite clear: Incidental, sporadic, or situational use of an AR-15 pistol’s unmodified arm brace as a shoulder stock doesn't constitute the weapon in question being "redesigned" (and thus legally reclassified) as a short-barreled rifle or NFA item. Basically, shouldering a pistol brace "sometimes" isn’t illegal.

@Steven Hunter31 Well let see, Liberials have taken over Austin Texas and every other major city. (Sanctuary cities), homeless are on every corner. You can't stop at a intersection with out being harassed. Illegals flooding into the Southern boarder. I hear more people speaking Spanish than English here. 1/3 of the students my area English is a second language. Housing cost have doubled in the last 10 years. And also property taxes. I was paying 2600 dollars when I moved here Now its 6000 dollars. Wages still the same. Also everything else has doubled. Wages still the same. My uninsured motorist insurance is close to 800 dollars a year. Because of illegals with no insurance. City of Austin reports there are 800 hit and run accidents every month . No insurance, no license, no registration and driver speaks no English. Texas has become a SH. Traffic is crazy bad. Takes me over an hour to drive 20 miles to work. Sometimes more if there is a wreck or it's raining. Traffic is bad 24 hours a day here. Actually worse than LA. I don't even get out anymore unless its real early in the morning. If you work in skilled trades and don't speak Spanish then don't bother moving here for a job. Wages are low for everyone except high tech IT jobs. If you want to rent a nice one bed room apt expect to pay 1500 dollars a month. 3000 if it's downtown. Condo's downtown start at 400K for a 500 sq ft condo. That's for a older one. So if you like to drink beer then go ahead and move here. Being drunk is the only way to not loose your sanity.

Hey Blake! What I would like to know is, where can you even buy Palmetto State pistols and rifles online right now? I can't find any available online or in any gun shops out here in Oregon and am itchin' to get my hands on a PS9 and an AR-15 from these guys because they are so much more affordable than the current offerings that are available out there. I would appreciate it if you can let me know. Thanks!

I recently came to own a PSA. Built an M16A4 clone using their separate lower and upper. It came with a cracked charging handle but who uses stock charging handles anyways? Out the door I paid $479 for both completed upper and lower and used the savings to invest into better internals (and a new charging handle lol) I had accessories on hand that I never ended up using on my Core 15 M4 so I didn't need to buy optics. Gentlemen, I put together a 20" fixed stock AR for less than $600. Best shooting rifle I own. Eventually, I'll look into getting a chrome lined barrel for it, but I live in a desert (Arizona) I don't really have to worry about moisture out here, not like I'm doing frog-man exercises in the middle of the desert. But I always wanted one and I was considering getting the FN collectors series model on lay away ($600 /month) I had the rifle with new parts put together in a day or two. I would definitely buy again. You have to give it to a company that passes savings onto their customers. They have earned my absolute respect

I just have to add because of Airsoft gas blow back rifles I knew exactly why your bolt wasn’t locking back after the last round before you stated it. Blowback Airsoft rifles would have the same issue being that they also lock back after the last round and also use millspec springs ,guides and buffer tubes aswell as bolt carriers and handles.

I had the same issue with a Gen3 AR10 I bought in late 2020 with a Rifle length buffer tube in 6.5 Creedmoor. I bought them just as he did - upper and lower separate because a complete rifle was not available; but the upper/lower were. The issue is that they use AR15 length buffer tubes and other components; but the BCG and mag-well are obviously extended. The dimensions for using a standard AR15 rifle length buffer will not allow the BCG to reach the bolt catch properly - specifically, the bolt. The carbine length buffer with the rifle length tube may result in the BCG contacting the lower. There are three ways to fix this problem: Lengthen the buffer tube and spring, shorten the BCG, or shorten the buffer. They fixed mine too and their solution was to shorten the buffer. It's a good idea to use AR15 parts, but someone needed to spend a little more time in the CAD software. Apparently they didn't learn their lesion two years later.

PSA sells good stuff, I've built several AR type rifles with components that were supplied by them. So far the the only issue I had was with a 9mm lower. The 9mm lower had several issues with FTFs and FTEs, and would not mate to the 16" 9mm upper due to interference with BCG and Feed ramp. I emailed PSA and requested a new feed ramp, but they stated that would be "impossible" and offered to only take the lower back for refund. I refused and made the changes to the lower to get it running correctly. Now it runs well, but has the occasional hiccup maybe 1/100 rounds. While I was not very impressed with their customer service, I still continue to buy their uppers and lowers because they are quality and cheaper than the competition.

My psa 22lr upper arrived jamming every round. I sent it and the lower back. They said they repaired it by changing the BCG. Well, same issue. I was on the phone with CS at the range and took pics and video of anything they asked for. Sent it back a second time. It has been with them for 40 days and counting. Multiple calls to CS are futile. They have no information, no supervisor/management that I can speak to. I asked to return it. CS told me no refunds for firearms after transfer. I told her this is not a firearm, just an upper. She spoke to management who told CS (remember they wont talk to me) that the return window is 30 days. The fact that I sent it back for repair within the 30 days and then again has no impact. My CC can only do chargebacks 60 days after the purchase. I mean I am shocked at how bad they are. Fuck PSA. I still have no upper and no idea in hell what the fuck is going on there.

I'm a little late to this, but I bought a Palmetto State Armory ar9 carbine from my local gun dealer. And I'm completely satisfied with it. Haven't had any issues with it. And it's become my primary home defensive weapon. And it's a fun carbine that I can use at my local indoor range. And I use 124 plus p plus hollowpoints through it. I did put a freeflote handguard on it and added a streamlight tlr protac light and laser combo to it and a dot scope. And it's accurate and fast on target. And he's right about the triggers. But mine broke in after about 200 to 250 rounds. And it's a fun carbine to run. And it makes a great home defensive weapon. Basically because of its three points of contact and it's sight radius. And the dot scope makes it fast on target. And at the outdoor range I go to in the summer. The range master was curious to find out how fast I could run run it. So put up a new target and emptied half a magazine in the chest and the other half into the head. And to tell the truth I was kind of shocked myself. I attended a firearms intructor course as a federal law enforcement officer and used a two inche colt cobra revolver and I kept all 12 rounds in the black on the target. But it couldn't match the groups from the carbine. And anyone who dismisses a ar9 as little more than a range toy. At a place on private property I use sometimes I set up a meat target like Paul Hardwell and the results were impressive to say the least. Went to. Wal-Mart and asked for ribs and steaks that they were going to throw away and came up with enough to make four separate targets. And four bags of oranges. And put four layers of blue gene's in front. And the results were eye opening to say the least. And to say the carbine results were impressive would be a understatement. And compared to my glock19 and my smith ans Wesson 5906 it was a impressive difference. Both were loaded useing 124 grain plus p plus hollowpoints. And while the damage impressive from the Smith and Wesson. The damage was from the ar9 was absolutely devastateing. And on the last meat target we measured 50 yards off. And the damage caused was just as good at 25 yards. And I understand some n individuals have issues using ar9 carbines. But you have to admit a longer site radius and three points of contact with a ar9 will be more accurate than a handgun. And the old saying about bringing a handgun to a gunfight, still applies today. And reguardless to what others may say about the 40 cal. It's going to be around for a long time. And as far as 9mm goes it's a good defensive round for a handgun. And useing the right ammo and being able to consistently hit a target at 25 to 50 yards. Any handgun can get you out of armed situation. And as much as I like ar pistols and that's my next one. I have a spot for the mp5, and the PTR mp5 will also be part of my collection.

I have purchased two rifles, first one took a month. Second rifle I purchased, I got an email a month after purchasing stating that the item I had purchased was "sold out". And they had an option for something different that was the same price. Then took another month to get something similar to what I ordered. So buyer beware, that might happen to you.
I thought him talking about how fast they shipped was hilarious, I have got ammo from PSA and magazines and every time shipping takes a month, I am in northwest wa state, so shipping that far is expected to take awhile. However it should not have taken a month for PSA to tell me my purchase hasn't shipped and btw we don't have anymore.

Have several PSA's AR's everyone had pin walking issues, all were PSA builds, anti-walk kits were a very quit fix and no issues after that. On the PSA Upper on other lowers- this was a no go. Tried on various AR and Mil weapons to check fit. Systems used were- Semi auto- Anderson, RRA; FullAuto Colt, FN. Issues were unable to push rear pin through it was out of battery by 1.5mm to 2 mm on theses weapons. Fix was put on PSA Lower fit great. For the price good value, workmanship so-so but if you are willing to go through the weapon before hitting the range you will be able to fix any issues. Will I buy from PSA again? Yes.

Good video. Thanks! I do not personally own a PSA, so I cannot speak from first hand experience having owned one. That said, I do feel that PSA gets too much criticism from many in the gun community. Is it the pinnicle in terms of being the highest quality platform? Surely not, especially when you can spend upwards of $2,000 + on highly quality offerings from Daniel Defense, LWRC, POF, Wilson Combat, etc. When it comes to AR's the sky is the limit, especially when money is of no object. I see so many UA-camrs and people in the gun community shooting what most would consider to be high end exotic AR's that you'd think that companies like PSA, Delton or Anderson aren't even worth mentioning. This is where I take issue with the criticism of PSA and other companies like it. I'd say that the overwhelming majority of people in the U.S. who are struggling to to live within their means, don't have the disposable income to afford a high-end AR costing $1,500-$2,000 +. In my opinion, PSA offers a wide range of AR's designed to suit most everyones budget. Last time I was on PSA's website, I noticed they even offer their customers financing on purchases of $299 or more. Seriously! You have to give credit where credit it due. PSA is doing more to spread the cause of 2A freedom by keeping the entry threshold to AR ownership low, compared to most other manufacturers. Like I said, I don't own PSA, but I sure do appreciate what they are doing by making America's Gun affordable for everyone and even going so far as to offer a little financing help for those who need it. Honestly, this is just the sort of thing that makes me want to buy a PSA for no other reason than to support what PSA is doing. I firmly believe every law abiding citizen should own an AR and I believe PSA's value oriented pricing strategy truly makes that possible.

I have built 2 rifles with BCA uppers. I just ordered another upper today. ALL of them were "out of stock" when I first looked at them. I gave them my email to notify me when the uppers were in stock. In EACH CASE, I received an email that they were in stock and ON SALE within a couple days. So if they have something you want, but it's not in stock, get "on the list" I think they concentrate on their top sellers and when they have some requests for the less "in demand" uppers, they put some together.

New Subscriber here, just wanted to put this out there. I have had a PSA 10.5 pistol on my order list for about 2 weeks, today I decided to pull the trigger and buy it, noticed the Gun went up 60 more dollars. I called and ask if they would still honor at the original sale price. They did honor it at 519.00 $. I was not expecting that at all, so I took the chance of calling and asking. This will be my first buy from them, and probably not the last even though I have not received the Gun or used it. I’m a North Carolina Patriot, Bloomberg is spreading his money around. I've bought a Freedom AR in FDE, a MLOK floating completed upper & lower AR, two themed stripped AR lowers (these are my faves), a PSA two-tone 1911, and a Rem Tac-14 12 gauge. The only shipping issue I had was the Tac-14 as it was a quick sell-out and I'm just glad I got my order in. I didn't get the shotgun until after the $50 rebate period had passed, but I was continually assured by PSA customer service they would still honor it even though I got it about three months after I ordered it. But PSA did honor and credited my card back $50. They are fantastic, great quality and I'm tempted by the great deals on a daily basis. Also, the 1911 and Freedom rifle were labeled as blemished at a discount (I wouldn't care about scuff marks if they still worked fine) but they appeared to be in mint condition when I got them in my hand. Also have ordered various other accessories including a quality fantastic two rifle backpack/case with seven 30-rd PMAGS for under $100. Now that's a great deal!

My next build will be an ar15 from PSA. Built my ar10 from Aero precision and it's amazing. My first AR of any kind and I'm coming from a hunting background so I wasn't a big fan of them. Now I'm hooked. Build your lr308s part by part taking your time and getting stuff on sale from various dealers of the manufacturer and you can build one pretty cheap. Spent 850 with all the shipping charges (mostly free shipping with codes). Brownells bcg for the lr308 is the exact same as one from aero. That's 1/4 of the cost alone

The one time I’ve ordered from pad they sent me a 10.5 inch pistol upper that looked ok out of the box. However, I noticed that the receiver looked off. Upon closer inspection I noticed that it was way out of spec, so much so, that I went and replaced the receiver with an aero. When I called palmetto and sent them pictures they refused to make right. Regardless of price they send out shoddy workmanship that could potentially be very dangerous for the end user.

Glock fan boiz are good at trashing products from other gun makers. I've seen this on forums, YT, FB and just about everywhere else.
When I worked at the LGS I was selling an XD9 Mod2 4.0 when a customer trashed the XD and stayed nothing is better than a Glock.
I asked him why. He stood there slacked jawed and couldn't organize his thoughts to back his claim.
I told my customer that the Glock is a good product and is everyone else's product. That it boils down to what you can honestly afford and personal preference.
I first looked into PSA because I learned an expensive lesson that the best for a person doesnt have to be the most popular or most expensive.
I bought a complete lower for $119 about three weeks ago. It arrived five days later.
It was a blemished or so they said. I couldn't find any thing cosmetically wrong. It works flawlessly as designed.
They sell directly to the public cutting out the distributor and saving the customer cash.
