Bella's American accent in TLoU is genuinely really impressive. A lot of British actors hear that the "standard" American accent is a little flat so they flatten it so much that it sucks all the features out of their speech (like Martin Freeman in Black Panther. It's juuust off and it's distracting) but Bella's sounds completely natural
I'm from the West Country in England. British actors struggle massively to do the West Country Accent. Like you said, they flatten and drag everything. We just nod our heads!

She sounded like a brit forcing an American accent and then cursed like a old lady who really loves emphasizing the first letter of every curse word. I'm actually amazed with how many bad takes they kept in the show when they very clearly should've done some reshoots.

James is like that one uncle you see once a year during Thanksgiving or something.. idk 😅 Also yes, the infected are not dead hoomans. They’re hijacked by fungi, which was a concept inspired by the fungi-infected insects out there. The environment of the original game was also inspired by the book A World without Us. Can’t wait for the show tonight!
It's crazy to me that she was the voice of Hilda. My toddler watched that show over and over and every time she speaks in her native accent that's all I see 😂 glad she mastered an American accent. It'll help me break that connection.

Bella deserves this, once you make it to a late night talk show like Gram Norton, James Corden, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel etc. Then you know as an actress/actor/ musician then you made it.
Not really, actors who start with an HBO series often end up type cast, or end up going back to the smaller European markets for some reason. Event the ones like Emilia Clark, Sophie Turner, Kevin McKidd, etc who had prominent if not central casting roles in shows don't stick around long for bigger Hollywood productions. In some cases they go back home to do other projects. In others we find out they're only good at one kind of role.
To me for me personally she made it back in Scary Movie she was the best character in that movie franchise, but it's a shame they, the industry, never gave her her flowers ...

And the reality that the infected are literally still alive, trapped. Also the different stages of infection constantly evolving and adapting to it's environment, constantly finding the best way to spread and stay alive. Terrifying and I love it.
