I appreciate the video. Really well done. So often we don't get the thorough walk through on foot with Campground reviews. You get a much better perspective the way you filmed it. Thanks.
The beauty of a Florida winter is the fact that the lawn stays green but grows so slowly it doesn’t need to be mowed from about October to April. I enjoyed the tour! It’s a beautiful park!
Wow, that campground has everything. Looks very nice. May some more bathrooms and better internet, but that's it. What a great tour, feel like I stayed there! I would love seeing the aircraft. Debbie
Hey guys. I had no idea you stayed in Tampa so long. Talon is such a sweetie. Looks line a nice campground ⛺️ Very cool they have so many places for the dogs. Thanks for showing and being honest about the place. Alice and Larry
Wow, looks great! AF retiree here, but have only stayed at Navy and Army bases so far. Amazed by your last comment - that someone is already on the waiting list for next winter! How far in advance can you call to make reservation? It's often call 6 months in advance for Navy - Sigsbee at Key West for example . Sounds like MacDill is a lot longer.
Nice looking campground. RV Under???. Lol. Wish I could have came by for a tour. Can’t wait to see y’all again at the Mayberry meetup, or sooner if it works out.
Maybe next time. Hopefully we can get together some time before then. We are heading to Nebraska in May and back to FL in June. Other than that, we haven't made any real plans yet.
Great video, Michael and Shelly. Very informative. Looks like a really nice campground and right at the beach, too. Is this only for active and retired military families?

what is the typical lead time on reservations.. most of the Military campgrounds are 90 days out.. since they fill quickly is this one farther out? Looks like a place we would want to stay when we head that way. Thanks for sharing.. good review.
You can make reservations 1 year out. It is very hard to get them for the winter months but the campground is a ghost town from late spring to around November.
Hello, can you tell me how the wifi and cell service was. We are headed there in 2 days but have been hearing horror stories that nothing is available there...
Do you know of any active duty members that live there while stationed at MacDill? Wondering if its an option for my wife and I as I'll be stationed there.
That's a nice looking Campground. My father-in-law was in the Army. But my husband has never tried to use any of the privileges that Military people can use. When I was researching who can use Military Campground children of military people can use them. But this might be something that we can look into. But I'm going to get the America The Beautiful Disabled Pass. Which is free the only charge could be is 10.00 for doing paperwork. And it's a lifetime pass. And good for National Parks, State Parks, Federal Park Areas and more. As soon as I get all my paperwork together and go it. I'll do a video on it. But there is a lifetime pass also for 80.00. And Veterans Pass also and it's free. I would not take a shower in there. Unless I had lots of sanitizer and bleach. Lol
Thanks for the comment. Only military ID or 100% VA disability card holders can use this campground. The America the Beautiful pass is definitely a great deal.

Thank you. This is the first review that we have done that way and I think it works better as well.

Thanks. we have enjoyed our time here for sure.
I love me some Military Campgrounds. Can't beat it! Looks like a nice campground. Thanks for sharing.
We do too and this is one of the better ones for sure.
Nice looking place to camp. Nice that you have mail access to. Most Military campgrounds we've been to have all been nice.
Mail access is pretty nice but it is a little odd how it works. It took 10 days for us to receive a large envelope from Charleston, SC.
Wow, that campground has everything. Looks very nice. May some more bathrooms and better internet, but that's it. What a great tour, feel like I stayed there! I would love seeing the aircraft. Debbie

You are welcome. I (Michael) had work stuff at the base and we left as soon as it was over.
Looks like a great campground, Thank you for the tour.
It is a really nice place. Thanks for watching!
This is a great spot. Definately will put this on the list with the cinel.
Reservations are hard to get in the Winter but the place is a ghost town in the Summer and early Fall.
thx for the review, we will 1 day stay there.
Thanks for watching. It is a pretty nice place but they are slammed in the winter.

Thank you for helping Fisher House support our wounded warriors.
Looks like a pretty nice campground.
It is pretty nice and since the management sticks to the rules so there aren't any homesteaders.
Looks like a nice place
It is really nice. we have really enjoyed our 3 weeks here.
When you arrived did y’all just go though the main gate with the rig on the back? Or did ya have to use a service gate?
When we went the base wanted you to go through the commercial gate. Thanks for watching!

Is it a ghost town due to the heat? Just curious. TY!
Appreciate the videos; all very informative! Thanks again!
Hello, can you tell me how the wifi and cell service was. We are headed there in 2 days but have been hearing horror stories that nothing is available there...
This video is a couple of years old but it was pretty bad.
So is there a service to cut your grass? Seems odd that they expect a traveler t9 have a lawnmower!?!!
Do you know of any active duty members that live there while stationed at MacDill? Wondering if its an option for my wife and I as I'll be stationed there.
Not sure. They do have a stay limit but I'm not sure if it applies to AD.
Are military campgrounds less expensive than public ones? Im retired Navy
It depends on the campground but generally speaking they are much cheaper
What gate do you enter MacDill with an rv?
We have gone in the commercial gate and the main gate in our 36ft Class A.
@@EpicRV ok thanks

New Horizons we are in 128!
@@EpicRV we are in 120. Cause we have a 40ft Class A with a 18ft trailer behind that hauls our truck. Yes we are huge. Lol
New Horizons oh Wow! Can’t wait to see that!
It's full all the time now
I'm not surprised. Thanks for watching!
