Again, this is great stuff! I like the idea of not listening to just trumpeters!!! Trumpet purgatory! What a hoot! It takes some sand for a trumpet teacher to say some of this. However, that sand is justfied when you PLAY like Mr. Lindemann!!
There are two types of trumpeters : small pieces •Good for High range pop (not too hard to have a double high C) . •Piercing Tone ( it becomes annoying to the ears) . •Piercing articulations ( same as above ) . Big pieces •Velvet tone( greater bell resonance) . •Pleasing articulations ( you never get tired of it) . •Greater dynamics . •Not good for lead and endurance ( reason for the rejection) Is a lot better to have both sides ..... two Mpcs 1 show, jazz lead, picc . 2 Orchestral , solo etc . A better idea than just say .... don’t use that or this .
