Awesome interview and glimpse into his model cave. loved the whole thing especially the flame trim around the door in the beginning. So his box art work/review builds really wasn't too long ago. thanks for the journey!
I've been a big fan of Sean's since I found his website 10+ years ago. The Wynns 777 Cougar box art was a surprise to me when I found the kit at my hobby shop. I follow his Facebook too. I love looking at his website builds for inspiration on my cars. 👋
That’s a lot of stuff. Haha. Nice to have a full dedicated room for your things and then to have it all displayed so nicely. Awesome work. Not going to lie, a little jealous. 🤣🤣
Fascinating!!! It always seemed magical to me wondering who does the art on the boxes! Ohio seems to be the heart of talented builders! 1 of 1 beautiful models! Hats off to you ,Sean and Steve Goldman! That’s a name I haven’t heard of for a minute, hi Steve 👋🏻!👉🏻🫡🫡👈🏻🤔😎🇺🇸
Really nice video. It is always nice to see interviews at the place of the person being interviewed. He has a really nice “man cave.” He does great work. Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow, that's an amazing place and collection right there 😳 Well done Sean, a true inspiration to all of us modellers and thank you James for filming and sharing this experience with us all 😊👍🏼
@@ScaleModelExperiment sure James, no problem at all about that! Just know that it's only a tiny little room 😀 no comparison to this lovely basement we've just seen in this video 😊👍🏼
Great video, James. I enjoyed your interview of Sean and showing his work. That Dodge Monaco he built reminded me a little bit of the mid 70's Road Runner based off the Fury. He does excellent work, whether luring us in with his awesome box art or building a model.
Thanks for watching Rob, I had a great time at Sean’s place. He is a very good builder and wonderfully talented artist. I look forward to more projects with him in the future.
Awesome video! Sean has been my favorite builder ever since I stumbled across his website circa 03-04. So cool to see the models in the cases that I've looked at what seems like 1000 times for ideas and inspiration. Thank you both so much!
Thanks for sharing this video James! His place is awesome! I recognized the artists name on my model boxes but didn't know you would have a connection to him today! The model box artwork i have from him are the Mobiues 67 Ford pick up and the Kenz & Leslie cougar funny car. Glad to see the artist and his " museum" on your channel!
Oh man, you got to visit Sean's sensationally cool collection, assuming while there for the the Buckeye Classic. I got to see it last year, so inspirational, he's loaded with talent and he's such a nice guy too. I love his pro-touring/restomods. I'm glad he picked the Stratus as his favorite, it's mine too! Now fess up...did you see behind that wooden slatted door? ;^) I know, dumb question but if so I'll let you share :^) Yes, Ohio has quite a reputation for extremely talented modelers...must be lots of building time during the frigid winters LOL
lol, What’s behind the wooden door Sean? I saw his work area and his parts stash… I’ll wonder now what’s hiding behind that wood slat door. Seriously yes, it was after the buckeye classic, me Steve and Larry went to his place. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to film there. Take care, and I hope to do a similar video at your house someday.
@@ScaleModelExperiment when I was there Steve, Larry, Eric, and Jeff were there, Ken Hart tagged along too, he rode from Dayton with me since he lives in my sister's neighborhood LOL. We even went to dinner afterward. Fun day!
only once I did so good job wiith the paint job. and it was with enamels ,I think it was MOLAC paints. very good enamel paits. no longer in production. bummer....
Awesome video. I wish he would have gotten into any mistakes or difficult models that he worked on for taking pics for the box. Always just curious when i see the pics on model boxes the story behind the build that looks like perfection on the box. Thank you for videos like these and love your white glue build ups also!
Very nice visit at Sean´s place. 👍. Especially his explanations of his favorite models. Is it possible, that You could do the same with some of Your favorite models ? Looking at Your channel, there seems to be many interesting models in Your stash, the background, 🧐 Kind regards from, Nils in Denmark.
@@ScaleModelExperiment it's definitely inspirational seeing that for me. I have three of the Brookfield collectible Stratus promo cars. One that I plan on painting the same forest green pearl that mine was. I thought about trying replicate one of the NATCC cars I'm glad Sean stated what he used as a donor chassis, that'll help a lot. There was also a PPG livery that looked incredible as well.
@@ScaleModelExperiment I have one of the two door neons and one of the 4dr neons. Unfortunately both are missing the same driver's side mirror. I wish they were missing different sides so I could resin cast new ones lol. The stratus one's aren't the same but they may be close enough.
Just wonderful.... You must have an extremely understanding wife! Take good care of her!! Where did you source your display cases from? Thanks for sharing... Steve
Very cool place, looks more like a museum. Sean is a great and talented modeler and a big inspiration to a lot of us out here!
Seriously Marcos, it was like a museum of cool!

I too have followed him for years and only met in person just last year even though we live 3 hours away!

That was fun - thanks!

as a graphic designer, l like how american model kit boxes have that handdrawn touch and old timey aesthetics 😊
Sean does great work on the box art. You can tell that he’s passionate about it.

I can’t speak for Sean’s wife, but the display cases are from Carney Plastics in Ohio. Thanks for watching 👍
Nice work you're doing now.We know why the K I t prices have gone up
Haha William, if they were generic white boxes with words on them they wouldn’t sell at all. They need eye catching artwork. Haha
Where does one buy these acrylic cases? are they just individual cases stacked mount on the wall? Great video!!
The cases I believe are from Carney Plastics in Ohio. I have the same kind.
