I've had a lot of massages because my body is broken as hell and in chronic pain and they've all been incredibly respectful and professional. They ask if if I'm comfortable before touching certain areas, they make sure I'm comfortable with how much coverage I have, just make sure I'm comfortable and relaxed in general. Sure I've had massages where maybe the pressure wasn't quite right or the masseuse's hands were a little rough or whatever, but I've never had an experience be less than great because I felt like the person was being inappropriate or made me feel uncomfortable.

I was about to comment on the poly/open relationships ≠ swinging. I have a friend who is in an open marriage and one day we were talking about their dynamic. Swinging came up and I asked her “as far as I’m aware that’s not what you guys are about” and she looks at me with an Absolutely TF Not face and says hell no 😂. I was about to comment on the poly/open relationships ≠ swinging. I have a friend who is in an open marriage and one day we were talking about their dynamic. Swinging came up and I asked her “as far as I’m aware that’s not what you guys are about” and she looks at me with an Absolutely TF Not face and says hell no 😂. She then went on to explain to me that that was a reason why her and her spouse weren’t always keen to tell people because then it might give others (who do swing) the thought that they can be like “Hey, wanna wife swap??” type ish. We both looked at each with ick faces and rolled our eyes lol. All of this to say that there are big differences between swinging and polyamory/open relationships. Everyone’s dynamics are going to be different just like any other relationship, but from what I’ve seen the latter is not just a free for all.
