I’ve spent a good amount of money on Toroline strings over the past few months, trying new set ups. I can genuinely say all of their strings are good and come as advertised. I was able to get some of the o-toro and it is by far my favorite . Hard to come at these guys for loving a consistently good product.
@@jonathanchen1026 KPop is a hybrid so it doesn’t compare to hyper g / O-toro. I’ve tried KPop and other toroline hybrids, they’re fine but maybe a little less responsive and maybe unpredictable O-toro vs hyper g is an interesting comparison. I was a hyper g user so I feel confident saying Ot is softer and sharper, more spin potential and better feel from anywhere on court. Ball gets deeper into the court with great pocketing. I’ve got it strung high (57) and low (54) in blades and have gotten over 8 hrs on both, no tension issues!
I ordered 5 sets (the limit) after seeing this video, and they have a 20% off coupon (GOLD). Played with it today in my whiteout 18x20 and babolat pure aero. It was amazing in both - adding a lot of power without sacrificing control. Definitely the best strings I've ever used (used to use Restring Zero, Confidential, Luxilon ALU, and RPM Blast)
I bought 2 identical Angell raquets (Lime XL, 18x20) and experimented on myself. Full bed of poly (angell lime hex) vs. mat gut main, rpm crosses. Very different set ups: I couldn’t tell the difference. Next: full bed of the Angell hex on both. 45# vs. 55#. Once again, couldn’t tell the difference. I guess I should just switch to Kirshenbaum synthetic gut (cheapest string).
Unfortunately, its the same with practically every UA-cam tennis channel now. Either paid shills or behind the scenes relationships going on. I just have one single rule now - if a particularly product seems overly hyped, or the reviewer sounds like they're reading it from the sales pamphlet, or they're desperate to grow their channel, assume that its just average. At the end of the day think about - its just a plastic string, and ALL polys are plastic strings. Same with racquets, clothes etc. The tennis equipment market is just marketing hype and hot air these days.
Yeah disappointing that a company like Toroline can just OEM average strings from China and then pay ‘influencers’ to provide positive reviews. Tennis warehouse is probably the only semi trust worthy source now. A shame Harry you took minimal money to over hype this stuff.
Another UA-camr doing an infomercial for Toroline strings…. How can you review a product when you are an affiliate offering discounts at the same time?
I love you guys, and appreciate the effort. But please be thorough. I genuinely watched this twice through to try and piece together what rackets & tensions you played with. I’m going to have to assume both are 16/19s. All I know about this string is it pockets. And it’s got decent spin. That’s it. Honest feedback. Really appreciate it if we could get a fuller picture. 🙂
Update having visited the Toroline website - 17 gauge / 1.23mm Six sided co-poly “Compared to Luxilon Alu Power, O-TORO lab tested higher for spin, control, playing life, and comfort” Not sure this helps. I’m certain most polys test better in those categories than Alu 😂. Ah well.
I'm testing it right now while I am still almost healed from arm pain I sustained prior to testing it. I only have about 4 hours of play into this test, so need more time to provide feedback on tension maintenance and longevity. This string does have nice spin and controllable power. It's also easy on the arm, because it's not making my existing arm pain worse. I wouldn't call this the natural gut of poly strings. Natural gut is extremely powerful. As for tension maintenance, so far, for the 2 days I've played with it, it loses tension like other Toroline strings. It'll loose a couple of pounds overnight before playing. Then it'll loose a couple more pounds after the 1st 2 hours of play. Then it lost 2 more pounds after the 2nd 2 hours of play. This is very normal with most poly strings, especially in the summer 100+ heat. The playability is still spot on. I strung this on my electric pull stringer at 52 #. And it's down to 47-48 now. The key for me is, how low can the tension go while still maintaining playability/control. Eric mentioned something to the effect in his interview with Harry, these strings will maintain its playability wither it's a 60 or 35 pounds. For all strings, I tend to hit a few inches out when my tension drops to 44#. So we'll see if that's the same case with these O-Toro strings. I noticed the Toroline website also sells the O-Toro in a hybrid combo with Enso Pro. I'd be interested in trying that setup too.
To Tennis Spin: hope you do understand that what we are looking for is impartial and unbiased review from someone that know their business. It is very disappointing to see you turning into a salesperson. Good luck and good buy.
Just saying, it is difficult to be impartial to toroline when Harry knows the owner (see the personal interview in LA), has received free samples with insider information. If Harry and teaching friends did not like their products, they would not use it during tournaments. It is a win-win, there is no financial kickbacks beyond product samples.
Love the packaging of these strings… they look like condom wrappers. Leaves great impressions on first dates when my date sees if in the backseat of my car… 10/10 lol
When you say that you know you've said it before, but this time you really mean it, it comes off as saying you intentionally lied before. Why should anyone believe you now?
@@DaveTrammell, I'm not sure what you are trying to say, but what I wrote has NOTHING to do with the word "best". So strange how tennis players are constantly looking for another racket and another string to help them hit the ball. It’s such a handicap. Try playing with real equipment. It’s not a sport anymore with the constant changing and creating equipment to help you along. It’s very weird.
I’m with you to a certain point. But lately there has been a tremendous development on strings. The longer the string holds tension the better for the environment. And for a consistent play. That is good so I have no problem with testing a new string now and then.

Have you tried 4g soft?
Just ordered one of these. Hope the final release will have a more unique color. Don’t like people thinking I’m just using Hyper-G
was literally so disappointed when it only came in hyper g green
I think this is the final color, they want that color
Another color is coming…

We are really sick of all these product placements from this rope manufacturer
You have to earn your living, but still
these strings are mediocre at best, them new middleman brands are really trying to see who can charge a higher price for half ass solinco-isk strings.
I guess Harry is just promoting his buddies stuff. Next he'll get another string from his buddy, and that will be better than all the others.
Very dissapointed you sold out. Used to love listening to your unbiased reviews until you went all in with Toro.

Toroline and solinco everytime...
I bought some o-toro because of this video, and it's the real deal. amazing strings.
