Malcolm Young is the most underrated man in rock history. He was so humble, he let his little brother take all the credit. My dad died of dementia also. It sucks
@@ainusa1534 To be honest, Angus was great, but he wasn't close to the best lead guitarist. However, Malcolm, was, by almost unanimous decree, far and wide, the greatest rhythm guitarist that has ever lived. No hyperbole. Just ask, quite literally, any guitarist.
@ckmoore101 Malcolm started off as the better lead guitarist for sure, but after a few years Angus became way better because when you play lead guitar every night, you just become great (if you have the talent like Angus does). Malcolm just kept on getting better and better at rhythm guitar until he became one of the best in the world.
Angus has always maintained that Malcom was the better player of the two and Mal played rhythm guitar because Angus wasn’t very good at it; his own words
My favorite thing about Dave Grohl is his respect and reverence for his rock and roll heroes… whether it’s bringing Jimmy Page and JPJ on stage at Wembley stadium, or this great tribute to Malcom Young and AC/DC, Prince, Paul McCartney… I really respect that a lot 🫡for those about to rock, we salute you Dave.
Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is how you honor an icon.! Thank you Foo Fighters. Malcolm Young is the best rhythm guitar player that ever walked this earth. I live not far away from his brother Angus’s mansion here in the Netherlands. And I I’ve seen them live with my brother when I was about nine or 10 years old when they came to the Netherlands. During the black ice world tour. Unfortunately I don’t have the videos anymore I wish I did.And then again when they came to the Netherlands in 2015. When I was able to drive myself.
@@goodkarma9043 wow cool! Angus drinks beer? I live not far from them either. But I never see his wife out. This shows how good the Young brothers really are and hard to imitate. God bless you Malcolm, followed you for 35 years man, rest in peace. Thanks Dave.
Love the tribute! Awesome But what becomes clear is that no one can’t sound like AC/DC I don’t know… Rudd on the drums always on point. Malcolm sort of a bit behind (intentionally) with a slight out of tuned Gretch…. And the way that sounded together is just unable to copy Still love this tribut Malcolm deserves ❤
Thank you David for such a beautiful tribute. I remember the day I heard about this in the news and what is even sadder is that Angus lost George a literally a month before. Well nearly a month it’s been like 23 days apart but I remember hearing about it and he is probably a wreck but when I saw this tribute it literally brought tears to my eyes. Because Malcolm was one of the worlds best rhythm guitarist. And it is such a shame he is gone. But he is up there in rock ‘n’ roll heaven and it is our duty as his fans and the people who loved and admired him his entire life to let him Rock In Peace! Rock in Peace Mal & George!

If Angus is ever considered as the greatest guitarist of all time (or any position on any greatest guitarist list) - he (and we) always need to remember that Malc was the predecessor of even Lemmy - You want rock n roll! Forget their sound aside! Malc gave up lead guitar duties to focus on his alcoholism! So he could party more! But with the knowledge he was the original lead guitarist of AC/DC. Can you imagine a bloke who is so respected for his rhythm playing worldwide that he rips better than the guy on lead!?! And the lead guitarist is Angus Young!?! His brother!
Angus is one of the greatest lead guitarists, however Malcolm's rhythm guitar was immaculate
Phil held it all together.
Agreed. That man never missed a note or chord in nearly 50 years of playing.
@thats just like ur opinion man I agree. Just that Malcom doesn't get the respect he deserves
Malcolm Young is the most underrated man in rock history. He was so humble, he let his little brother take all the credit.

Angus is overrated..
Music Reporter: "Angus, do you think you are one of the greatest guitarists in the world?"
Angus: "I'm not even the best guitarist in my own band."

Un gesto fantástico de homenaje a una leyenda como es Malcolm Young.Suena muy bien el tema versionado.
Honestly this is the best AC/DC cover I've heard, the version the foo fighters recorded on studio is freaking amazing too.
The absolute best tribute to Malcolm Young I have seen.
Thank you from all us Aussies that grew up with AC/DC.

They didn’t try to imitate them though?
Nobody ever mastered the art of rhythm guitar quite like Malcolm
So few people understand the central role Malcom played in AC/DC.
Yes, just you and a few other real connoisseurs.
He's the power behind the thunder
He was the heartbeat that pumped blood to ACDC songs
