      That's Cersei's fault?! Stop! This began with the murder of Tywin. Why was Tywin murdered? He put his own son on trial for the murder of Joffrey something the Tyrell's were behind. THAT started this. Tywin knew Tyrion was guilty. Cersei did not know. Joffrey pointed at Tyrion as he's dying. Their act condemned Thrown and Sansa, the latter was able to be removed before being apprehended. No, House Tyrell is ALL over this. And their lucky Cersei chose their fate because had it been Tywin, their punishment would have infinitely been worse.

    I think Margaery would've been a queen like a combination of Sansa and Daenerys. She could be very demure, an astute liar, willing to manipulate and natural in court life. Her other side was compassionate; always thinking about the small people who don't care about the game of thrones. She did it all to be a kind ruler.

      Margery didn't really care about small people or anyone except her own family. She also just wanted to be the queen and also her own family be the ones at power the difference between her and Cersei was that she was smart in manipulating people. She could even manipulate Joffrey and then the simple Tomen, the nobles and the poor people even the sparrow! She made a philanthropist face of herself among the poor and a kind hearted queen among the nobles and a good and respectful wife for the two kings she married but actually it was all a mask and she was just manipulating all of them. Cersei and Daenerys both could use the power in their hand to eliminate their enemies but Margery was the smarter one who could make a country loyal to herself a d have the support of the sparrow just by playing roles and her good timings. Even till her last moment she was smart and alarmed of what was going to happen.

    The way the last frame cuts into "For House Lannister!" The irony is absolutely brilliant; masterfully directed.
    Tywin always said that everything he ever did was for the betterment of his family. This would not at all explain why he would fuck his son's lover and plot his murder.
    Cercei always said that everything she did was to protect her children. Her actions taking out the sept with her enemies had nothing to do with protecting her children, and directly caused her last son's death.
    "For House Lannister" indeed.

    • @artac4470
      @artac4470 2 роки тому +14

      I think my favorite thing is- they originally did follow those motivations, but both got sidelined by their own personal issues-
      tywin's plans were ruined by his blind hatred of tyrion (who ironically was the lannister child most like him). the things he did to prevent tyrion from gaining the respect he wanted eventually ended up causing his own toilet-smelling death.
      cersei, on the other hand, gets so hungry for power of her own that at some point "for my children" just became an excuse to serve her own ends. the deaths of all three of her children were caused, directly or indirectly, by an action she took to gain more control.
      i love it so much.

    This scene p*ssed me off even more than the red wedding. Imo Margaery Tyrell was the best shot Westeros had at a monarchy that both cared about the people and knew how to play the game. Her being murdered, along with her whole family, because Cersei was jealous and spiteful deeply annoyed me. Cersei deserved a lot worse than she got in the end

    • @XXXKaruXXX
      @XXXKaruXXX 2 роки тому +31

      Actually the series cut a big part of her character,in the books you can clearly see what kind of person Margaery is,one of the most manipulative characters of the whole story,all she did was only to rule,and she dont want to rule to help anyone,she only wants her family to gain political power,her kindness to the people is just part of her plan,she wanted to earn influence over her subjects. She is not crazy,wich makes her better than Joffrey or Cersei,but still she is not a good person,she seems like the kind of ruler who will only help her people when it benefits herself

      @Fuyuki Ryujin Cersei only fit the title better because of bad writing of later seasons. I mean she destroys the sept,everyone knows it was her,and what did they do? Make her queen,yeah,that makes sense,a woman with 0 rights to the throne who hates her own people while her people hates her too. @Robin Page problem is Cersei is the one who created that problem in the first place (she empowered the faith militant, and she did that out of spite for Margaery too... it backfired however because she couldn't seem to contemplate that religious fanatics would take more issue with her various real and personal sins than Margaery's being goaded into lying to protect her brother). She then also held off on eliminating the problem until she had an opportunity to kill all the Tyrells + their allies at the same time. She could've picked any other trial or sermon the High Septon was overseeing but it wasn't about that to her really, it was about getting rid of Margaery as it had always been. She feared the "younger, more beautiful, Queen" of prophecy.

      Because right then and there was what proved Cercie was the baddest bitch in the whole show bar none. The conviction it takes to pull something like that off and with an honest to God smile on your face. Gives me chills. What was it she said to Ned Stark? Oh yeah, in the game of Thrones you either win, or you die~

    • @marcolibbi5479

      Ok, maybe celebrating is a bit too much, but I understand people who laughed. I mean, when I watched that scene I was so shocked, I chuckled in disbelief too (I had not watched Tommen's suicide yet). Besides, I don't think there were many characters we were supposed to be that devastated for (MAYBE except for Margaery), since one of them was the obnoxious High Sparrow. This doesn't mean that Cersei didn't do something horrible ofc

    For the longest time, I thought how incompetent Lancel was in getting that candle, but if you look at the scene again, you'll notice that there were many candles at the point of burnout on that wildfire soaked floor, which is why you saw defeat in his face before the explosion. Even if he was able to be on his 2 feet, he wouldnt have enough time to put them all out.

    Cersei had partially the guilty of all of her children's deaths (some not even partially,almost all the guilty):
    Joffrey: Joffrey wasn't supposed to be king, if Robert Testament was followed he wouldn't be the king, Joffrey was killed bc he was a monster, stupid and a terrible king.
    Myrcella: if Cersei wasn't so DAMN convinced that Tyrion killed Joffrey,Trial by combat never would happened Oberyn wouldn't have been killed,and then his wife wouldn't have taken revenge on Myrcella (this one is just partially her fault after all Oberyn was stupid for taking the spear out,and his wife shouldn't have taken revenge on Myrcella for something she didn't even know about and had no blame)
    Tommen: She gave a LOT of power for the religious dudes,making them basically take over the city,got Margery held captive there (Tommen did liked her a lot),and then just blew all of them with Tommen watching,Tommen was weak,he didn't have a strong hand to deal with things that was too much for him,he got destroyed,divided between the religious,his mother and his love,all bc Cersei was stupid to give power go them for getting on the Tyrells.
