The pure joy Harstem shows when the opponent went to 0 APM at 13:42 just brightens my day - every time an opponent is seriously fooled, or has some crazy response to a cheesy play, Harstem's joy comes out.. If it turned out Harstem was in fact Loki, the trickster god, i would not be surprised.
I flew to Korea last year to see GSL live before Artosis left. I wore my Day9 shirt I've had since like 2010. I got on camera and Artosis mentioned the shirt. Day9 and the legacy he left behind is still alive and well. Love you bros.
@Sidecutt3 It's like a resurrection, but not actually, since this show isn't called that, etc. But it is true morally speaking, cause the vibe is the same.
I feel bad for not even questioning the pronunciation of AZZRHAPIST until like half way through that replay when I finally actually looked at the name and was like wait a minute...
Your "pretending to be afk" vids are among my favourites. A true classic or a well matured cheese. But the fact that these are viewer replays mean we get serious variety in the execution. I'd live to see another episode of this, or maybe some mineral stealing challenge.
This was a real treat. Enjoyed the game by mcj. And the glgl was awesome by bumzz. Good challenge. 👍 Would like to see more cheese from the community to see how well the captain has trained.
This challenge is all about fully committing to a fiction, and in the spirit of this, Harstem is the consummate professional as he does not once deviate from his dutiful pronunciation of ozzerhoppist. A thousand times, I salute you, Captain.
When I saw the name AZZRHAPIST I was sure he would be the person trolling. I think Crosshair wins easy that last game too if he doesnt panic and pull SVCs before his 4 cyclones are back, he needed to do the opposite and run them away and try to buy time, if he wants to kill your infrastructure let him.
I tried to get a W doing this challenge last night, really wanted to send you a replay of a gold level fake afk, probably lost 5 games before I had to go to bed. I don’t think any of my opponents ever realized i was “afk”. Sad I couldn’t catch a W to send in, but was still fun and super cool to see all the success from others ! Great community challenge 👍🏻
If anything this shows how repetitive starting in known positions can be in Starcraft. The loss of predictability is the most tilting thing to the opponent because early game play tends to assume you know where each other are. It'd be interesting to see how random spawn locations would affect the meta, and this is common in some other RTS games.
very good video, i loved it. surprisingly interesting to see this strategy in action, never thought about it when playing the game. wonder if anyone has tried it in brood war?
Bumb mistake at first game was sending his svc everything to kill the nexus and not exploring other bases sooner. He should send two-three marines to clean the base for good after the reaper killed the probes and then send the reaper to explore. He could even put a bunker on natural just in case. It would have taken a little more time to kill first base and, if player was AFK he could have returned, but with enough adventage it didn't matter.
We need a zerg edition. 3 drones to pull, one overlord to send hidden scouting spot, the one from an egg with gonna pretend to be the first one, and a lot of hope, that enemy do not count your larvas.
If you roll up on a base and it looks like they player is AFK. Pause the game and say "you look AFK unpause when ready" AND THEN THE TRUE MIND GAMES BEGIN
A Terran AFK-er, SHOULD come back when enemies in their base... And say "omg my bad I was afk" then fly cc to corner and say "draw please?" And continue to play.
That “GLGL” after the Nexus falling is absolutely amazing
Very well timed
when the boss's second health bar appears and the music gets faster
Simply Sensational
It was great. I was even more impressed by the perfect attack timing of the last game.
The first game is one of the best games of starcraft ever played. This is the kind of real life battle that got coded into legends.
22:40 Harstem's compliment to his viewers makes me so happy. He has incredibly low expectations for us, and we met them. Guys, we met them!
I was going to comment the same thing. Harstem doesn’t have the highest EQ but his content makes up for it
I know right! He is glad that the best 3 out of 60 replays displays at least two brain cells each.
The captain is wholesome af!👑
haha so true. on his level this would never have worked. a heart for harstem tanking us serious
XD
"Azure Happist" was excellent lmao
That's crazy he put a guy with Azz Rhapist in his video 😬
🤣🤣
at least he didnt put that guy's tag in the thumbnail)))))
he must be from Egypt or something
Do these names not get reported by the community?
I'm waiting for the day where two Harstem fans gonna pretend to be AFK to each other for two hours long.
Lol just thought about that. Would love to see how it unfolds :D
When it happens it will probably be a contrived game rather than a proper matchmaking game.

2:24 "another question mark being utilized here" cracks me up xD
The "glgl" timing in the first game was *chefskiss*
This moral resurrection of Funday Monday excited me as soon as I heard about it and the fact that it looks like a success is great!
Haha yeh harstem's journey toward becoming day10 is nearly complete

wtf does "moral resurrection" mean?
@Sidecutt3 It's like a resurrection, but not actually, since this show isn't called that, etc. But it is true morally speaking, cause the vibe is the same.

azur-hapist, right? or what do you mean? i don't get it.
I was looking at another tab, when I came back and looked at the name I just lost it xD
Hahahaha... only picked it up now that you mention it.
lol I missed it completely

3:11 "He's an efficient man juggler"... well said
This is going to be my new favorite series!
0:45. no I played Juggler recently, rapid pause unpause at the start, question marks, just generally prickish
AZZER HAPIST omg the pronounciation harstem gives this is just pure gold. He literally turns poop into gold.
This feels so much like "funday monday" from Day9 back in the day. I love it
This was a real treat. Enjoyed the game by mcj. And the glgl was awesome by bumzz. Good challenge. 👍 Would like to see more cheese from the community to see how well the captain has trained.
The gas on the last game was merely a reminder on how much rage the enemy has as the game goes on.

Omg Harstem's goofy laughter when the second opponent destroys the command centre 😂😂😂 He's so happy 😂
I was too :D
than man is pure joy
This wouldnt work in my MMR, people dont scout.
This was the biggest problem I had when trying this challenge lol
@@chloesmith4065 haha
opponent at 10 min: Oh, just a random expo
Cool video. It reminds me of old school Funday Monday with Day9
As the person who inspired you to do this build by submitting to PiG's ICYFAR many years ago - I approve of this video.
"he didnt try to trick him, he just hid his first base"... 🤣 yeah I dont know about that 🤣🤣
This was unbelievably fun. This is certainly my favorite segment on your channel. (Stupid stuff in general, and especially pretending to be afk)
Love the wide range of games that got the spotlight here, was really entertaining!
Geez the guy from the second game definitely has a name that's against TOS.
these were really good. Thanks for this guys and thanks to Harstem for casting them.
I can't pick a favourite game, this series was a COMPLETE BANGER!!
first one was painful, just got inpatient
Fantastic video. great seeing the fans join in on the fun and getting their moment to shine. really epic well done harsty

Honestly flipping through your "BGMWSS" series would make for great start for what I hope will be a new series of Viewer Challenges.
I just hope we someday get to see a mirror matchup of this.
I love this, it reminds me of Funday Monday
This is brilliant, I was hoping for a while to see another one entry in this series.

Legendary replay by Bumbzzzz from the GLGL to the win.
bumpzz was so clean jesus lol
Oh please, cast more of these videos! I love it!
Finally, the spiritual successor to ICYFAR we've been waiting for!
What if you don't hide an expansion but go all in on proxying production for an attack once they move to your base?
Are you kidding me ? I've just finished doing this challenge 5min ago and lost at least 200mmr on it just to be told you already uploaded
Lol why were you on ranked
@@redeye8805 only the cowards play unranked, the based starcraft player gamble his mmr

This was really enjoyable to watch! Love the commentary, Captain. o7
"Queen blasting trought the speaker as we speak". ROFL!
Wait wasn't Azzrhapist, the random in the second game, featured on an IODIS?
AZZRHAPIST should be a banned nickname lol
the way Harstem read it was an amazing gymnastic to not get demonetized
I don't know that he caught it? Cuz he made no reference to it. Like he could have edited the names and often does
@@yoshiman9521 i feel like he just read it and didnt think anymore about how to pronounce it after saying it once^^
it is if you spell it differently ^^
That void ray in game #2... Crazy. Great composition read.
That Void Ray should've finished the medivac.
"Harstems Broodwar adventures - From F rank to Artosis". That would be a cool new series
This has to be my favorite sc2 video of all time xD
Don't forget, it was not just Harstem who missed the "Azz Rhapist", so did the Editor.
I'd love to see more viewer challenges.
very good video, i loved it. surprisingly interesting to see this strategy in action, never thought about it when playing the game. wonder if anyone has tried it in brood war?
I encountered someone pretending to be AFK yesterday. He beat me, though not because I thought he was AFK. Was halfway expecting to see myself here.
I love how Harstem purposefully mispells AZZ RHAPIST so his video doesn't get Demonitized.
Next challenge: Build every available unit of your race at least once within a single game.
That was quite entertaining to watch!
Thanks for the video
15:45 chronoboosts nothing, looks like dear Azzrhapist hasn't learned much from his days on IODIS I guess

This made my day honestly, especially the last game was great
i need more of this.
Harstem: ...and here we go.
- Nexus: boom
Harstem: LOOOOOOOOOOL
"Azuhapist" I wonder if Harstem is saying the name that way because of the youtube demoting some specific words haha
The Protoss in the second game should probably be reported for an offensive name.
The problem with giving every one of Harstem's videos a thumbs up, is that I can't give this one a second thumbs up.
13:10 Azzrhapist attacking 'afk' enemys base: 0 Apm 😄
what if you kill the cc first. dosent that mean that the scv will go to the nearest cc that is alive?
And Funday Monday makes its return, reincarnated in Harstem's Channel
This is how SC2 is meant to be played
We need a zerg edition. 3 drones to pull, one overlord to send hidden scouting spot, the one from an egg with gonna pretend to be the first one, and a lot of hope, that enemy do not count your larvas.
you can potentialy make multiple bases! But spawning pool gonna be soooo delayed
the second fight terran completely threw his perfect contain on the toss base there wtf
He could not go for the surround in the last game because the biggest danger is that he gets a tank out. So it must be a push into the main.
This was really funny! Make a Series out of it pls!
Ill have you know my platinum tournament trophy shows that you can indeed play like this in tournaments and win
Harstem taking up the ICYFAR mantle!
and just like that, a new funday monday was born.
Finally Funday Monday is back. With more hair!
If you roll up on a base and it looks like they player is AFK. Pause the game and say "you look AFK unpause when ready" AND THEN THE TRUE MIND GAMES BEGIN
I love Harstem’s chiseled face. It exudes Dutch excellence 👑
I'm so gonna try this strategie - as soon as I'm high level enough to play against people who actually scout...
I do like that Mjc is mining gas and ignoring the gold minerals right next to it.
this would be a good way to hunt for map hackers as well. hitting 2 birds with 1 stone for harstem.
“AZZRHAPIST” Harstem is too pure for not seeing how this is meant to be pronounced 😂
this was intense, dramatic and interesting. GG WP
Now we need somebody to pull it off in a tournament, preferably offline
Harstem laughs like Jimmy Carr. When he inhales 🙃
A Terran AFK-er, SHOULD come back when enemies in their base... And say "omg my bad I was afk" then fly cc to corner and say "draw please?" And continue to play.
These games are so beautifully confusing!
The "im so confused" made my day...
This was absolutely beautiful to watch. 😂
Bumbzz was the most epic jokes.
This is amazing. Please more of this kind of videos
Oh man Funday Monday is back awesome.
Great games, nice work crew!
i'm still paranoid when i actually find an AFK opponent because of this whole thing
Can’t you peel off three or four workers from the start if your doing the AFK build?
Look at the first game.
i wonder if he was actually not realizing the "azzrhapist" name, or if he was just feigning innocence. lol
That first game was soooo good, lol.
