It really is a blast to drive around town. I agree with a lot of the sentiments that he had expressed because that's how I felt at the beginning of ownership
It's not in the same class as the EV6 but I had a test drive of a Nissan Leaf some years back. Within the first 100 yards I decided to buy it. Like your friend says, it's surreal. I suddenly felt like I was driving a Rolls Royce. Even the Leaf is quick away from the lights (although it runs out of steam very quickly). Best thing I ever did was buy an EV.
I see the comparison though. The first time I drove the ev6, it felt so quiet and composed. I'm used to it now and if they can figure out how reduce road and wind noise even more, it would be even more peaceful. EVs are great, although I like having my obnoxious v8s as well, ha ha!
Under car's setting in drive mode, the breaks can be put in sports mode, which it makes the pedal feel more tight as opposed of normal mode, where you have to press the pedal a little more. Also I saw on another video, an ev6 from the UK, the turn signals are sequential and are located where the silver trim you plasti-dip it, I wonder if we can install the UK or Korean turn signals in our ev6's 🤔
yeah i would love the sequential lights. I believe someone on the forums was trying to confirm if we have the wiring needed to do that, but i guess someone good with wiring could tap into the already wired signal wire. Also, good news is, M&S replaced my Plastidip with wrap! so it looks real good now! And yeah, thanks for the reminder on the brakes! i remember when i first got my car, i saw that menu, not sure what I chose. I will go back in and check.
@@Emadifications If the UK model has it by default, I guess the wiring harness is there? I noticed the little scoops in the back where the charging port is located, looks like a storm trooper LOL and great choice in removing the spoiler, the front lip though *French kiss*
I think he'd probably be a little bit more impressed with acceleration driving a model3 performance or something, but I get it. I would still rather buy the EV6
You hit the nail on the head. When driving my EV in the canyons, it’s like driving a manual transmission. Going into a sharp turn let off the gas and the car brakes into the turn, like dropping it in 2nd gear, step on it out of a turn and get a kick. Only disadvantage is the weight of an EV, you go into a turn to hot, and you feel the weight pushing you toward the guard rail. EV’s are heavy at 4K lbs. It’s no 2K pound Miyata that’s for sure.
@@Emadifications I want that too. I hope it’s not 100K also. Every auto maker is trying to make a better battery design. I hope we get a nice small sports car at a good price in 5 to 10 years.
Mg cyberster, Xiaomi sc-01, Porsche boxter next gen ev, lotus has a 2dr small ev coupe they claim is going to be within 100# of the emira coming 2025ish. So they are coming. Unfortunately most will be in the 45-70k range for a while at least. But then anything fun wise for car's costs about that now anyway. Mg also has a rumored dual motor very fast version of the mg4 coming with racing seats and better brakes 0-60mph in mid 3s range. That could cost under 40k when it drops later this year. But no U.S. version. 🤔
I left you a reply on your other comment. It's from mnsamerica.com but it's not out yet. Check out my EV6 video playlist on here and you'll see the process of my car getting the kit on it for SEMA. More details on the kit are coming.
Locally no. A couple in surround states but none I have easy access to. But yeah that would be incredible. However I think more people are still buying the GT line or wind so I think this video could help those people out. I would love a drive in the GT though
I test drove a white ev6gt in Des Moines the day they got it in. on Jan 3rd. I didnt like white. they got the black one in on the 10th. I went in with my partner to check it out...by then the white one was in the showroom due to an uneducated driver having a "near miss" in traffic. I am picking up my black one in about 3 hours!
the way I got a test drive was I went to the kia website put in my zipcode and checked inventory after picking the gt trim after picking color and options...then it gives coming or nearby inventory. they give you the option to be notified when then come in. I was the first one who showed interest and since we had conversations up until it arrived, of course I got to test drive it. but they certainly want people who are interesting in buying. for example they would be hard pressed to let young males under 20 drive one, especiallu since not all dealers have allotments yet. this should still work. I know the Omaha dealer I spoke to wont get them until February.
😳 so worried he would break both arms trying to drive around a corner. Who drives like that, crazy 🤯 Glad he liked the car, but not sure he should be driving 🤔
Thanks for letting me take it for a drive man! Was definitely a fun experience.
Let's build that electric Miata.

Yeah E-miata. "mEata" I have been thinking that myself.
How fun would that be ? An affordable roadster EV?
I bought a 22 Wind AWD and not a year after Traded up to a 23 GT
You know you can have the AC down there by default. I use the touch screen and steering wheel buttons to control the radio/media.
Haha yeah. I prefer the media
Damn that steering wheel is huge!
