The microphones with this design are not in front of or in the ear. No matter how one compensates with volume, that’s a significant problem. Bose recognizes this in describing phone use suggesting that one holds the phone slightly “behind” the ear for best results. This is a very disappointing as the Bose Hearphones actually had microphones in the ear piece that captured sound from the front. Thus, these devices are not revolutionary and actually are a setback from the dynamic quality of the Hearphones. In light of Apples ear bud devices - which everyone wears without noticeable attraction- I’d have thought Bose would have replicated that design so as to place a microphone to capture forward sound. No one need be shy about having an audio device in the ear especially if it looks like an Apple device that everyone else wears walking around listening to music. A disappointing miss by Bose.

Music sound is one thing, but There is no way Bose has the hearing aids technology equal to the BIg 5 heading aid manufactures, who all have a pipeline of R&D decades long.
I was thinking that same thing and why I am getting new hearing aids now because the technology keeps getting better and you have more amplification and power now and I wanted to connect my hearing aids to my phone and IPAD and tv to have just those sounds going right to my hearing aids without background sounds getting in the way and other hearing aids I have had were not able to do that. I am not sure how good it will work for me but I guess I will find out now and hopefully it will work good for me.
Do you know of people who have used them already and how did they work for them without getting their hearing tested? I already have an appointment with my Audiologist in a week to get my hearing tested because my hearing level has gone down and he knows that already. I am not sure how that kind of hearing aid could work if you need as much amplification as possible and hearing aids to do something with the background sounds to be able to hear and understand speech so my hearing aids would need to do more for me than those could I think and I need my Audiologist to do the fittings and adjustment and earmolds to make sure that they would work for me. Otherwise they seem like all over the ears hearing aids in appearance I guess.
@@DrCliffAuD She said she likes the new Oticon More device. I have a Android phone with < version 10 which isn't high enough for all the features of streaming, etc. Have you done enough research on the Deep neural Network to know if that is a game changer in intelligibility over the Paradise?
@@RemScanProducts I would rate them similarly in most cases, but definitely depends on the specifics of your hearing loss. I would generally recommend whichever your provider is best at fitting.

I’m having a bit of a struggle finding information and hoping that you could help me out. I have resound gn upsmart hearing aids. I want to buy the roger x03 and the two receivers. Would this be compatible with my hearing aids? I also have in my basket dia clips for the bottom to connect the shoe. Would these all connect to my hearing aids without a resound multi mic

I have a question. If I have Oticon X ceed Ultrapower hearing aids and want to use a remote microphone is the Connect Clip a good remote microphone or is there something else better? I want to use it in places like riding in a vehicle and things like that because with the background sounds I am not hearing the people who are talking to me so I need something closer to them to pick up their speech and then send it to my hearing aids. Because now it seems like they are too far away from me to pick it up. I think if I could get the sounds to me better and then amplify them enough I should be able to hear them doing it that way because right now when someone is a little bit farther away from me I keep thinking I think I could hear it if I had something by them to get the sounds to me but I am not sure what kind of a microphone would work for me to do that.
You will need to use the ConnectClip because it is the only one compatible with the Xceed Ultrapower Oticon hearing aids. The good news is, it is a really good microphone for the situation you are asking about.
@@DrCliffAuD Thanks for your help I appreciate it. I would like to try the Connect Clip and find out if it helps and hopefully the Ultrapower hearing aids will help me too. Hearing aids have gotten better now and with other ones I have had my Audiologist got my hearing level up to where I was able to hear some sounds I never heard at all before but I never knew what the sounds were and where they were coming from because with all my amplification I just was able to hear them and they were not loud and the sounds are in my hearing aids and not wherever they really came from so it makes it tough to know what they are. It was awesome to be able to hear those sounds though and I just had to take time to figure out what they were. Hopefully with the Oticon X ceed hearing aids they will be better at telling you the directions of the sounds and I will have more amplification and power to help me get more sounds up to a level where I can hear them now.

Hard to say. They are both really good hearing aids. Is the provider you are getting them from better at programming Oticon or Phonak?

The Roger X receivers are universal so they should fit with shoes for your hearing aids. If not, you would need a multi mic.
