Is there a way to write modal chord harmony? I would like to write "D Dorian" like you see in some scores, but can't find a way to do it neatly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Gerhard, is there any way in Sibelius to show, say, 16 bars of a single chord using something like a multirest but with the number of bars shown within the staff (in the middle of the "multirest") instead of above it, and the chord in the normal place above the staff (like in a chart, for, say, Impressions)?
Thanks, Adrian. Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, you should be able to do this easily, entering the chord symbols using the Cntrl or Cmnd+K shortcut, clicking in the desired location, then typing the chord's name. If you do this with multirests turned off, however, you may need to reposition the chord symbol. Also, the chord symbol should be placed at the beginning of the new section (i.e., Ebmi in Impressions), otherwise the multirest may split itself. You may want to play with the bar rests page for multirest appearance settings (Appearance->house style->engraving rules) as well.
Thank you ! After a change of computer couldnt remember where the activation of the legacy chords was... Cheers!
You are most welcome, Dillo!

Good question, Greg. I found this on the forum: tiny.cc/7ljavz
