For those asking, outside of drops the Soul Core Box is also a mission reward for one of the DLC missions. It's literally impossible to miss, just keep playing the DLC.
We knew about it within hours of it dropping but we didn't want to spam it because they're going to obviously patch it out soon. Also side note equip magetsu warrior and the viper you can literally loop somebody to death with those
Check out xenoswarm he’s got some pretty good builds as well. Especially if you’re into builds focused around the games combat system and weapon skills.
I respec’ed to focus on Yokai Ability Efficiency and Grace of Kagu (Scorched ethereal grace), and completely ran through every single mission on WOTW, using Ippons Hammer. It’s insane, gonna farm some Wise scrolls now LOL
Here's a test I did: I have a Ippon Datara SC with Yokai Ability Ki Pulse and Ryumen Sukuna with Yokai Ability damage (all). Ryumen is a freaking OP, because it causes scorch and saturation (confusion) at the same time and also is good for mobs, mixing with Ippon's infinite stun lock and insane Ki Damage there's nothing they can do, you can literatelly solo any mission on DotW. Also, Ippon's cooldown usage is so op. You can still go on with a mix of tatenashi set and a set of amaterasu's grace (meaning a giga ass defense and and forever life recovery).... AND finally you can be a GOD if you ran a scroll with Ultimate Constitution (you will get 300hp recovery per sec with this shit). The only enemy I found to be a pain in the ass is Karakasa, fuck that umbrella, this shit is more hard than any boss in DotW Lol. Ryumen and Ippon for life! \o
Sanctity taliman is unnecessary, the ominous pact debuff is temporary and shortens any time you gain anima. You can make a yokai ability spam build if you can get things that support anima gain. And then you don't need to worry about ominous pact, it'll be a non-issue as long as you gain anima at a high rate. Anything that reduces status ailment times helps too. The debuff is around thirty seconds by default.
That trick with the Soul Core Box is likely unintended and will be patched out. I just hope that doesn't get them any ideas about nerfing Gozuki, I'd be very very sad if it happens (but then people will probably jump on Namahage instead even though it's a bit worse I think).
Would you say that this is a good way of grinding levels too? That is my main priority currently, as I'm still in the 350 range. EDIT: Just realized this sounds like a pretty silly question!
Would be funny to see an 'unpatched greatest hits' combining all the crazy stuff from all the versions of the game. Like original Otakemaru Spam with this, etc.
I'll never understand why they feel the need to adjust single player games. They made an item and they didn't realize that there was a buff in the game that would negate the consequences of using said item so why patch it out?

its drop from the new female npc (i dont rememeer her name right now) its part of her set. u also get one from the new dlc quests where the cat is the boss. just keep playing
Been stuck on otakemaru on DOTD for a few days so i tried this and absolutely destroyed him, even if they patch it i won't download any new update i'll just keep cheesing DOTW till we get the final DLC
Amazing lol, saw that last night and had just spent an omonyo point on water familiar...finally got sanctity talisman. Do you have to be on Dotw to level up your stats past 99? I am still on Dotd and wasn't able to.
If you have the dlc installed, you should be able to. I'd get the dlc then turn off automatic updates until you reach max level. That's what I'm going to do.
Does this work in yokai shift, to keep it active for a long time? Cause soul core effects and guardian spirit passives can boost the damage of yokai abilities in yokai shift
My current character is only on its first playthrough as I wanted to start again when I purchased the DLC and I can't seem to find the accessory, is it just about hoping the first DLC2 boss drops it or does she 100% drop it on a higher difficulty?
Do this with a grapple build to kill things faster ^^ rip difficulty/any challenge tho:/ .. just shut off your inet connection on your ps4 to abuse this forever. Gonna ruin the game imo. No real reason to play after u get everything ethereal on max + .

Fortunately if you do forget to refresh the buff and do get the debuff, the sanctity will dispell it on the next cast
