Thanks so much for showcasing this. I've been prepping a few graces to try a Ame and Susanoo build but now I don't have to. This is exactly what I was looking for. It's not anima spam. It's not Nin spam. And it's not onmyo buff/debuff reliant, clearly indicated by your bare minimum Dex/Magic stats. This is pure, unadulltered, fisticuffs, the way God intended. I wasn't sure if it was possible on DotW but thank you so much for giving me a hope. I can't wait to turn Nioh into a Dead or Alive game.
You can farm the Saika clan in the beginning of the mission where you have to fight a big cow/fly yokai at the end, in DAWN. They drop mostly ranged weapon
I did that already in previous difficulties, problem is they drop mostly rifles that are already part of a set so I was hoping there was a better method

Death dancer with dual wield poison build works really well for me. Recently I switched to death dancer and versatility, but not liking as much. Versatility is a bit of work to get the stacks.
Picked up the game again to go for a completely fresh save and going from Switchglaive to now Fists. This build seems crazy and I've 1 other, completely different one, that also seems interesting. But everything is ultra endgame, it would be cool to see a road to --- build. For the first gameplay loop and/or lower levels.
So from my understanding. I can have a Devine accessory and upgrade it to ethereal? All I have to do is use a stone of penance and it will do it’s magic. Right? What about if I wanna change graces

My problems with soul cores is that there is no info about what each core does to enemy? no stats - only video and description "Brutal charge - transform into a gozuki and charge forward, using horns... bla bla" how the hell should we know what does it do? and another example i just found out that regular core of imps(flyng heads w horns that gives u element on your weapon) imbues ur weapon w sertain element, after completing a whole game once KARL... Maybe i'm missing something? Will Mezuki for example deplete max ki, while enemy is in winded state? As i remember max ki can deplete corruption element right? but Gozuki does not give you that. Explain please my ass is buring... Thx btw for ur videos they help ALOT in understanding that beautiful nightmare of nioh
Not difficult. If you play nioh seriously enough to min-max. Then you’re already at 1,000+ hours and this gear isn’t hard. 1. Forge divine version of Brave gear 2. Accessories should have: luck weapon/armor ea 3. Use wise scroll with onryoki and farm him HARD!!!!! A ton of times. Even apply a stone so you can get more ethereal accessories. By the end of that. You will have plenty of ethereal brave drops and enough graces gear to make your own set. Wise difficulty is awesome cause it forces you to be flexible and creative. Don’t mimic this build exactly. Take the base idea and run with it.
It wasn't hard and I didn't complete dream of the demon before I started this build last week. I just finished majority of the build without all the star skills and destroies humans and handles humans well(only lvl 360 btw). Just get the armor set on dream of the demon and get a scroll with increase Ethereal drops. Hardest part was getting the courage on the weapon. Gave up forging for it after 100 tries. Just re roll weapons with a big sudma. This will even transform some of the weapons to ranged so you can try your luck getting your Grace's there.
The damage on your rotation is wild. I'm still trucking through dotd so i dont have access to graves but I've started using the Samurai Noble set, since it gives excellent ki damage and finishing flair. I totally slept on Limitless, because like you said, fists take so much ki to maintain. I'd also recommend Oh as a guardian spirit if you're not using the brave demon fists, because it seems to pop purity nearly as quick as the fox spirit pops corruption

Excuse me my good sir, I’m still in the story campaign and having a blast with the fists. With that being said, is there a reason you’re not running ‘Amago’ for the clan? *(Increased Attack & Defense)* *Fists* +20 *(Blindness) *Ninjutsu Hit*
Once you reach the higher difficulties, +20 attack is literally nothing. You will temper high levels of attack onto your armor pieces. For clans, there is far more benefit in taking things like Ki damage or percentage based damage modifiers such as Active Skill Damage increase.

This is my favorite build you have done so far, followed by your sword/dual sword build. Amazing builds + superb combat. I really hope they make a Nioh 3 or some company creates a game that has combat mechanics like this. The mechanics are the reason I keep playingt. I am definitely going to buy Nioh 2 remastered when I finally get my hands on a PS5
Bro have you noticed for fists that mid stance combos is wayyyy more stronger then being in high stance and doing combos? Idk why that is, most weapons high stance is supposed to be stronger but for fists it seems mid stance is the way to go
Yea luckily I only needed 1 inheritance which was for the chest piece, I'm like 70% done with this build I just need ranged weapons with the right grace and proper yata and yasa
Max capacity for Ninjutsu and Omny increases past 100. 40 capacity at 200 stat. Agree on versatility. The hazle to get the stats from stance dancing abilities instead of focus on hard hitting abilities, ends up with similar result with less thought process behind it. Versatility might be better when you start doing stone of penance +5 runs but prior to that its not, and even with that, its a matter of preference. I personally cant stand versatility since I dont want to be forced into stance dancing, something I do most of the time but when I want to, when it needs to be done, not cause I have to. I personally use Tsu set, omnyo set with melee builds for endless abilities and an on demand damage buff since as soon as you use an ability, you have the damage buff active at max capacity for around 20 seconds, and during that time if you attack enough, you get the spell back, to the point it can reset all the way back until what you invested in Jutsu. I think its a sleeper strong build but the Ninjutsu version is equally strong. That on demand 20-25% dmg buff is really strong. Coupled with quality of life traits all over.
I'd really like to do this build but I'm starting a brand new playthrough to learn fists. What should the stat prio be for before ng+ and dlc ? Since I won't run into courage fists for awhile
5:45 for those who want to skip the first quarter of the video to get to the guide part, while its cool to see the fights, i wish people making build videos would start with the build, and then show off the fights and what you can do with it, it was annoying having to sit through all that.

scroll with etheral drop up and accessories with lucky drop weapons. will nurf your build to farm as if you just run 1 melee and 2 ranged it will drop more rifles/ cannons than usual. did this to grind out my second rifle for my death dancer.

Wow, im only like halfway through my first playthrough and thought "mmh, maybe switch from odachi to claws / fists. lets check some youtube videos!" Needless to say i didnt understand 20% of what you said or what i saw... :D
Used to play odachi and its boring compare imo and fist is more fast phased as well. If you play this on ps5 or even pc, there is up to 120fps, playing on higher fps does make a difference as well
How do you do the spinning takedown? I have it enabled but it seems that you just wait for them to run out of ki and then you can do it? I thought you had to parry first.
Finally looted inheritable transform courage. I have two Demon Arm Fists, one has starred "grapple" and starred "10% mellee dmg on scorched" the other is just starred grapple. Since we always lead with Flame Dragon, the 10.7% melee dmg on scorched might be better, but id have to give up either "active skill Ki damage" or "active skill ki consumption". What would you recommend ?
Hey man, you mentioned you don't think versatility is necessary because of the speed at which you kill enemies, and thats fair. But does that also go for the death dancer bonus? I was imagining claws with versatility and death dancer to be a great, wonderful mess of stack management. Honestly your build does look appealing because, however much fun versatility is, it does become a bit of a chore sometimes. Also, you use the new guardian spirit because of the beam. How important is that beam attack as an opener? I currently use the..the..lightning tapir. I don't use its attack but it gives 20 more ki damage, which is just shiny ^^ Also also. Does it matter much which elemental grace you use? As in, could you go water on weapons and lightning on familiar and use the water grace? Since you have an open slot, you could go imakomei and get blind vs scorched, which can be a beautiful thing and add a lot of survivability - even if fire isn't directly the best element, with a fire familiar you can scorch pretty easily anyway. Also also also, i assume you use lightning and water to set confusion? Does it work well vs cursed enemies? I have some trouble breaking cursed status and then applying stuff quickly enough
Tbh everything you said is true or a good idea. Death Dancer is fantastic. It's a little tricker on Fists than it was with other weapons due to you literally being in the enemies face the entire time but it's very good. Versatility on the other hand is, like you said, a chore due to forcing yourself to use skills you wouldn't normally use, just to get to a point you can even start the fight how you would normally. That said it pairs great with Death Dancer. My next build will be using Death Dancer~
@@Xenoswarm well if you're spamming skills anyway. I saw you get up to 4 to 6 off so the chore seems less onerous. Just pop off a quick 3 skills? And honestly 6 stacks is a boost as well. Now claws are very mobile and has some parries (which i suck at) so maybe it has enough mobility. Also, versatility is ok if you end up spamming a single skill at full stacks. It combines neatly with the singular mastery bonus from that one clan - i used it for splitstaff
I am a bit confused. Still early in the game, and I am trying to follow this build. The confusing part for me is the 10 strength. Fists scales with strength as far as I know, so won't my damage suffer a lot, or did I miss something about remodelling the weapon to courage?
At the higher difficulties you can get weapons that have an inheritable called "Transform Bonus (Courage)" etc. So you put that on the weapon and it no longer scales with strength. Early game you will want to invest in strength

Guys one question here actually I am at the Mission otakemaru boss fight and I remember I want to go farm odachi skill swirling snow but for that we need to replay corpses and ice mission but when I go back to shadow region it's replaced with bird in a cage. What do I do here!!? PlZ help😔😔
It looks like a very cool set. I intend to try it out. It wouldn't work in this build though because we are imbuing our weapon with lightning which overrides the sentience bar of your corrupted weapon

If I'm starting new and don't have access to the dlc yet what stat should I aim for? Still courage and heart?
I pushed heart to 25 and it helped me a lot in the early game

5:45 for those who want to skip the first quarter of the video to get to the guide part, while its cool to see the fights, i wish people making build videos would start with the build, and then show off the fights and what you can do with it, it was annoying having to sit through all that.
Maybe that's why there is a giant caption at the top of the screen during the entire montage saying "Guide Starts At 5:46". Yet you still felt the need to write this comment. Fucking entitled people man.

I called you entitled because it's 'annoying' to see people complaining on videos that people provide for free, especially over something that the content creator provided an immediate solution for, i.e a timestamp for, precisely so you both wouldn't have to sit through it, and I imagine, not whine about in the comments. Looks awesome. You got a sub. If you don't have ultimate courage, could you instead swap the electrified set with one of the other sets that have active skill ki consumption or ki recovery to compensate for the lack of ultimate courage?
I'm sure you've got it by now, but I would just keep farming the scrolls until it shows up, it really shouldn't take too long!

scroll with etheral drop up and accessories with lucky drop weapons. will nurf your build to farm as if you just run 1 melee and 2 ranged it will drop more rifles/ cannons than usual.

Wow, im only like halfway through my first playthrough and thought "mmh, maybe switch from odachi to claws / fists. lets check some youtube videos!" Needless to say i didnt understand 20% of what you said or what i saw... :D
Used to play odachi and its boring compare imo and fist is more fast phased as well.
If you play this on ps5 or even pc, there is up to 120fps, playing on higher fps does make a difference as well
Did you have grapple damage only in the weapon? I have too and I can't do the amount of damage you do.

How do you do the spinning takedown? I have it enabled but it seems that you just wait for them to run out of ki and then you can do it? I thought you had to parry first.
Like you said dont need parry just use triangle when enemy's ki finish... Maybe you need check your skill equip
Finally looted inheritable transform courage. I have two Demon Arm Fists, one has starred "grapple" and starred "10% mellee dmg on scorched" the other is just starred grapple. Since we always lead with Flame Dragon, the 10.7% melee dmg on scorched might be better, but id have to give up either "active skill Ki damage" or "active skill ki consumption". What would you recommend ?

Hey man, you mentioned you don't think versatility is necessary because of the speed at which you kill enemies, and thats fair. But does that also go for the death dancer bonus? I was imagining claws with versatility and death dancer to be a great, wonderful mess of stack management. Honestly your build does look appealing because, however much fun versatility is, it does become a bit of a chore sometimes.
Also, you use the new guardian spirit because of the beam. How important is that beam attack as an opener? I currently use the..the..lightning tapir. I don't use its attack but it gives 20 more ki damage, which is just shiny ^^
Also also. Does it matter much which elemental grace you use? As in, could you go water on weapons and lightning on familiar and use the water grace? Since you have an open slot, you could go imakomei and get blind vs scorched, which can be a beautiful thing and add a lot of survivability - even if fire isn't directly the best element, with a fire familiar you can scorch pretty easily anyway.
Also also also, i assume you use lightning and water to set confusion? Does it work well vs cursed enemies? I have some trouble breaking cursed status and then applying stuff quickly enough
Tbh everything you said is true or a good idea. Death Dancer is fantastic. It's a little tricker on Fists than it was with other weapons due to you literally being in the enemies face the entire time but it's very good. Versatility on the other hand is, like you said, a chore due to forcing yourself to use skills you wouldn't normally use, just to get to a point you can even start the fight how you would normally. That said it pairs great with Death Dancer. My next build will be using Death Dancer~
@@Xenoswarm well if you're spamming skills anyway. I saw you get up to 4 to 6 off so the chore seems less onerous. Just pop off a quick 3 skills? And honestly 6 stacks is a boost as well.
Now claws are very mobile and has some parries (which i suck at) so maybe it has enough mobility.
Also, versatility is ok if you end up spamming a single skill at full stacks. It combines neatly with the singular mastery bonus from that one clan - i used it for splitstaff

I am a bit confused. Still early in the game, and I am trying to follow this build. The confusing part for me is the 10 strength. Fists scales with strength as far as I know, so won't my damage suffer a lot, or did I miss something about remodelling the weapon to courage?
At the higher difficulties you can get weapons that have an inheritable called "Transform Bonus (Courage)" etc. So you put that on the weapon and it no longer scales with strength. Early game you will want to invest in strength

Guys one question here actually I am at the Mission otakemaru boss fight and I remember I want to go farm odachi skill swirling snow but for that we need to replay corpses and ice mission but when I go back to shadow region it's replaced with bird in a cage. What do I do here!!? PlZ help😔😔
Cause you are using corrupted fist, have you tested the magatsuhi Grace set. which bonus from the awaken state of your weapon
It looks like a very cool set. I intend to try it out. It wouldn't work in this build though because we are imbuing our weapon with lightning which overrides the sentience bar of your corrupted weapon

I'm loving the game after killing the third boss, but it feels almost overwhelming everything there is to learn about it. Like I'm never gonna be able to understand how it all works. I see the comments and there are almost endless options, weapons and skills I have never heard off 🤣
