Seeing Eobard Thawne in S2E17 was such a treat because I never expected to see him again. Especially his reactions. Now I just basically expect Thawne to be the antagonist in every season, some way or another.

Rules of time travel are different for speedsters. Time travel is literally their specialty. While the wave rider in a way is like technically not supposed to travel in time. So consequences are harsher. And the wave rider is in the actual time stream where the quake happens while speeders use speed force to zip through time

Actually this is wrong because in the alternate future Barry when Savitar killed Iris, he was broken completely. Given the state of him and the state of everything in Star Labs, his demeanor and his current personality, one could see what he said to the present day Barry wasn't some secret lie to keep Savitar from knowing the future. He really couldn't beat Savitar and given his normal personality, he became chronically depressed and what we see is not The Flash, but a hero that fell from glory

My view on this was that they first decided to have Savitar be a corrupt Barry from the future, but then DC didn't want to have the star have the possibility of becoming evil so during the mid-season break they made the change to have it be a time remnant instead. The hints before the mid-season break made it seem like it was a Future Barry but the way the hints were dropped after the mid-season break showed, to me, a slight change in direction.
A time remnant is Barry. They are the same. If they killed Barry from two seconds later instead of Barry from two seconds earlier (whom we decided to call a time remnant) nothing would change.

How can barry be so emotionally broken after iris dies. Like ok, he was really close to her (almost in a weird way if you ask me - like even she said they're like brother and sister) but still. There were also times when the legends sees themselves, there is a time quake but when Barry sees himself, no time quake happens.

My view on this was that they first decided to have Savitar be a corrupt Barry from the future, but then DC didn't want to have the star have the possibility of becoming evil so during the mid-season break they made the change to have it be a time remnant instead. The hints before the mid-season break made it seem like it was a Future Barry but the way the hints were dropped after the mid-season break showed, to me, a slight change in direction.

A time remnant is Barry. They are the same. If they killed Barry from two seconds later instead of Barry from two seconds earlier (whom we decided to call a time remnant) nothing would change.

How can barry be so emotionally broken after iris dies. Like ok, he was really close to her (almost in a weird way if you ask me - like even she said they're like brother and sister) but still.
