Ja ich bin der Organist der Kirche.
Leider finden derzeit-bis auf weiteres- keine Messen statt. Um Ostern ist es so schade. Es freut mich, daß so viele den Klang unserer Orgel bewundern!
@@organgoesheavy Stimmt, ich denke auch, dass die ganze Situation noch etwas länger andauern wird. Zum Glück gibt es ja UA-cam wo man zumindest die Musik etwas genießen kann. Aber wenn wieder Messen statt finden komme ich mal vorbei. Und euere Orgel klingt wirklich schön. Leider kann ich nicht mal Klavier spielen.

Mit solcher Art Orgelei habe ich angefangen😶
Und beim Üben, wenn man total aufgeladen ist vom zu langen und zu lauten spielen, dann bricht sich das immer wieder Bahn. Mir ist eine Idee gekommen für ein Konzert. Ich denke an ein Medley aus drei Elementen:
House of rising sun
A whiter shade of pale
Smoke on the water.

@@organgoesheavy Die Metz hat zwar keine Tuba, aber die Challenge habe ich ca. 30 Sekunden nach Deiner Antwort angenommen -- dummerweise aber nicht aufgenommen.
Macht nix, da kommt noch mal was Besseres um die Ecke von mir...ich glaub aber, ich bleib bei der Nummer von eben: Ne jazzige Variante von "House of the Rising Sun"! :-)
Nebenbei purzelte auch ein vollgriffiges "What a Wonderful World" mit schönen Sext- und Septakkorden bei raus, das ich unbedingt auch noch mal festhalten muss.
Die Konzertidee finde ich übrigens ausgezeichnet! Das Medley allein dürfte dafür nicht wirklich ausreichen, aber es gibt einen guten Rahmen vor, der sich ausbauen lässt.
Schönen Sonntag Dir auch -- und viel Spaß beim Gottesdienstorgeln! :-)

What an interesting new dimension a pipe organ and the church's acoustics bring to this gorgeous tune. There's a deep-throated growl that makes it all the more thrilling. I wonder what it would sound like played on one of those delectable 19th-century French organs - worth a try one day, perhaps?
Oh yes, you are so right! Aristide Cavaillé-Coll and Co, They have built pipe organs like that, with a "dark" cloured sound. This coloring would make the song extremely interesting. The organ here in this video has excellent trumpet sounds.

I just discovered your video on this wonderful rendition of this timeless classic. I can't describe the sound that you captured only to say I feel like I am in the midst of a surreal carnival. It's brilliant.

The deep tones in the pedal don't boom straight away with full force, but always need a fraction of a second to swell, which makes a big difference together with the acoustics of this wonderful church. ich empfehle, den Ton mit einem Feldrekorder separat aufzunehmen (z.B einer von ZOOM), die sind erschwinglich und haben selbst mit den angebauten Mikrofonen einen recht guten Klang. ausserdem kann man die Dinger platzieren, wo man gerne aufnehmen möchte und ist nicht von der Kameraposition abhängig.

That last E major chord in the prgression before the tonic, it almost sounds diminished at timeshere on the organ, and ithink it would be a good place for that.
You're right, this most distinctive chord is completely absent from my version, Once I want to make a new recording with the melody in the left hand or maybe even in the pedal and the right hand plays the arpeggios much faster - with that distinctive chord😊
