James! Your yellow subway line is suuuuper popular but only has 3 vehicles on it, you should probably add some more! Also, giant mining pit.... make it happen.
Ehm just saying but you should probaly read the discription of the workers barracks in the oil industry. It doesn't house people, it has 40 places for people to work and it increases work efficiency, it doesn't house people. Just so you know
Am I the only one seeing this? The initial configuration of roads for cargo train hub in a timelapse looked like butt plug. Which would fit the region very well, because this city is ass (in a good way) Edit: 6:00
I think this is one of the best cities you've built, you're really getting into the nitty gritty and really making sure it looks like absolute garbage 🖤
I would also like to know how to balance the buildings in industrial zones so that they turn a profit... but it's so much fun watching you build this city :D
I know the downtown area isn't supposed to be a fancypants downtown but I think a couple of high-rise buildings would be good just to sort of establish it as the central business district. The two big square buildings already there are a good representation of where it could go..maybe a few plopped high-rises here and there? Nothing extravagant or anything, it just doesn't have anything making it stick out from the rest of the city vertically. I'm loving this city so much though!! :D
When Flab makes this city more disgusting, it satisfies the urge that all Cities Skylines players have to do to their own cities but don’t have the will to do it.
I really think you should show us what you have done in the time laps when you are in game, you haven't for the last few episodes. I think the one way system for your new cargo rail exchange goes the wrong way, but i can't be sure if you fixed it, because you didn't show us it.
the giant powerlines being next to residential, that happens in my town, there is giant powerlines right next to houses here like those, it is a very dangerous looking space but also very cities skylines looking to me xD and there are many other towns nearby too like it~ so good job, realism!
Well I've already seen a bunch of comments on this video complaining about the time lapse because they wanna see it in real time. Then videos where he doesn't do one, people complain about how boring the fiddly bits are, like adjusting roads and whatnot. He can't really please everyone, so I get trying to at least let people know about how much to skip xD
Funny, it reminded me so much of downtown Memphis, TN, USA, specifically I-240 and around where it crosses over the Mississippi River. (Minus the subways - our city is too large, too poor, and too rural for for that) Also, the filthy polluted river could be the Mississippi itself! Nice to know dirty cities aren't exclusive to the US. xD
What do you mean with “I’m trying to make this area look nice” at 6:00 ?!?! How could you!!! I thought this city couldn’t look nice... i feel so betrayed 😂😂😂
Where you're putting buildings on the river at 11:18 ... you should really fence off the buildings from the river for not only 1. realism 2. safety 3. protection 4. more built up and industrial init?
You should make a big beautiful national park and fill it with sewage, industry, and pollution. Exactly the sort of wonderful park that would fit this beautiful city.
Feels like you are not really getting into the industries dlc as much as you should. Rather seems like a regular playthrough and you are just using new buildings as rico buildings so areas look industrial, instead of carefully balancing your industries
You have got to stop letting Starbucks run ads on your videos!! Yes I get it the red cup is back but I don't need to see the same clip of women in awe whilst someone screaches in a high pitched voice. It's so annoying, why are there no other ads??
Could you make a little village in the mountains? I think it would be good. You could also add a small ore area. Like some parts of Wales
Yes please, I want a village in the mountains 😭
WALESSSSSSS 🏴🏴🏴🏴
That would be very cool
James! Your yellow subway line is suuuuper popular but only has 3 vehicles on it, you should probably add some more!
Also, giant mining pit.... make it happen.
river bank: *exists*
James: it’s free real estate
Reminds me of that one Tim and Eric sketch about land.
"Come get your damn land, Jim!"
Charles Anthony that’s what She’s referring to
If you click on the name of the oil district, it will pull up all the info about where the oil is going and how much is needed where.
That's good to know. I hope he puts a few oil rigs off the coast of the region. The ocean is where those rigs belong after all. Not the river.
Ehm just saying but you should probaly read the discription of the workers barracks in the oil industry. It doesn't house people, it has 40 places for people to work and it increases work efficiency, it doesn't house people. Just so you know
Definitely make some isolated mountain villages that are free from the pollution of the city!
Could you put a few mansions out of the city where all the industry owners would live?
Next series should be redeveloping the city into a green utopia.
you should make some suburbs on the hills, or maybe expand the downtown or add slums (no education) in your city
Am I the only one seeing this? The initial configuration of roads for cargo train hub in a timelapse looked like butt plug. Which would fit the region very well, because this city is ass (in a good way)
Edit: 6:00
At 28:00, while you are building the bridge, something connects way in the background and then there is a massive wave of happiness, that was weird
Anyone else see the green wave at 28:02
I saw it
Probably from a stadium win
Yes! Would love a regional shipping line on the river to join up with airport and cargo train on the quay!
I think this is one of the best cities you've built, you're really getting into the nitty gritty and really making sure it looks like absolute garbage 🖤
Would love to see more copy and paste SUPER dense residential. That looked good by the stadium.
you should put a residential town on those islands near the oil industry, right in between poo river too!
Id like to inform u that the ind barracks etc are not living quarters and do not add to res at all, just workers needed.
It is so fun to see this totally different concept of a city and how you comment it. Marvelous :-D
I would also like to know how to balance the buildings in industrial zones so that they turn a profit... but it's so much fun watching you build this city :D
PLEASE REMOVE the islands in poo river. And around the airport!!!!!!!!!!
The river, the airport, and the oil rigs would look SO much better!!!!!
He needs to put the oil rigs into the ocean by that sliver of land that separates the river from the ocean. Oil rigs belong in the Ocean!
Which is of course the reason why he shouldnt remove them 😂😂
Settle in or bugger off. Love it
i love how the oil industry village is one of the nicest areas to "live" in the city
I know the downtown area isn't supposed to be a fancypants downtown but I think a couple of high-rise buildings would be good just to sort of establish it as the central business district. 2:43 when james’ brain goes american for a second when he says “here”
There's a pretty tall building going right through the elevated highway near the train right turn you put in
When Flab makes this city more disgusting, it satisfies the urge that all Cities Skylines players have to do to their own cities but don’t have the will to do it.
i gotta say I love how you try really hard to make the roads realistic. Other Skylines players don't and it drives me nuts haha
The old oil and new oil industries work together. You can overlap the areas to have one big oil section.
I really think you should show us what you have done in the time laps when you are in game, you haven't for the last few episodes. I think the one way system for your new cargo rail exchange goes the wrong way, but i can't be sure if you fixed it, because you didn't show us it.
It would have to just be a complete loop so both imports and exports work.
the giant powerlines being next to residential, that happens in my town, there is giant powerlines right next to houses here like those, it is a very dangerous looking space but also very cities skylines looking to me xD and there are many other towns nearby too like it~ so good job, realism!
I'm always amazed at how well you do the train lines! it looks so good with this city :)
Build a secondary small town in that bay to act as a Port city and have a train connection into the main city so you can have the port
Something I'll never get is Flabiliki's insecurity over time lapses.
Well I've already seen a bunch of comments on this video complaining about the time lapse because they wanna see it in real time. All of the expressways, the subway, the train line is so much like Glasgow in Scotland. It is such a dirty city.
Funny, it reminded me so much of downtown Memphis, TN, USA, specifically I-240 and around where it crosses over the Mississippi River. (Minus the subways - our city is too large, too poor, and too rural for for that) Also, the filthy polluted river could be the Mississippi itself! Can U move those oil platforms move by nodes? If can, maybe U should pick a better spot, little further from islands.
23:00 the population is exactly 41,000 with no gain or loss of population
the like darker road are like rebuilding the old roads
So they could get around and eat fresh
What do you mean with “I’m trying to make this area look nice” at 6:00 ?!?! How could you!!! I thought this city couldn’t look nice... i feel so betrayed 😂😂😂
9:29 our house in the middle of a street, our house.......... 🎶
James: That’s better! That’s more depressing! Good!
Us: YES!!
Newbies: What?
⭐️Goal achieved
Add more trains on the other subway lines. 738 people and 3 trains of 180 ... makes no sense must need more
Love de industries roads!
Where you're putting buildings on the river at 11:18 ... you should really fence off the buildings from the river for not only 1. realism 2. safety 3. protection 4. more built up and industrial init?
90 degree turns on highways slow traffic down soo much though (and also I don't think they're allowed irl)
28:28 The pilot of that plane be like "WTF who built a bridge right in front of the runway?!"
You forgot to put a toll to the oil district to make even more money
Make a mass transit series
Can you please zoom out and show us a view of the entire city thanks
This city needs more tolls
Oil Rigs belong in the ocean!
do more high density residential!!!
This city reminds me of Charleston WV
Looks like Arizona
you can click an icon in the info section to get rid of the whiteness so you can see where you are placing things
0:12
Michael VSauce here!
The last subway station you placed was in a building
26:47 Let's just pretend that I'm a bird...
Maybe build some oilindustry buildings from the old zones so that you get some "organic" olibuildings in the mix with the new ploppable ones.
PLEASE REMOVE the islands in poo river. And around the airport
I love the irony of 'offshore' drilling rigs on a river...
I was reading Holes 😀
Yaaaaaasssss come through time lapse!!! 😂😂😂 no hate but I really love the time lapses .
can u make a big mining pit
Pls upload this city to steam so we work in it
You should make a big beautiful national park and fill it with sewage, industry, and pollution. Exactly the sort of wonderful park that would fit this beautiful city.
What’s the name of the mod where you can force road to bridge up or stick to surface? Is it fine road tool or somthing?
Yes fine road tool
When is Two-Point Hospital coming back? It has been 3 weeks
Just remove the islands in the middle
You should get a grass texture that’s grass but not as green as in the vanilla game
you allmoust can do a green citys scenario out of the city
Plz build later also in the mountains
Offshore oil rigs often use helicopter to move around and even this have helipads so it fine for a Piece of land in between....
Flabber gang
No Collision is ALT and C
You just built a giant bridge right where planes land and take off
MOM would really fit in this city
First again
Hi
Feels like you are not really getting into the industries dlc as much as you should. Rather seems like a regular playthrough and you are just using new buildings as rico buildings so areas look industrial, instead of carefully balancing your industries
Ok
Please start A BIG MAP and a nice one.
Yea please remove the islands or just make them smaller
Remove the oil rigs. They look out of place. Put them in the ocean
You have got to stop letting Starbucks run ads on your videos!! Yes I get it the red cup is back but I don't need to see the same clip of women in awe whilst someone screaches in a high pitched voice. It's so annoying, why are there no other ads??
-20k monies....
Classic Semaj squeezing in buildings between the coastline and a billion train tracks.
