As a music lover, it's tragic to see such media go missing.
this comment is completely unnecessary
@allah this reply is completely unnecessary
Your reply is necessary @@jrurbbehdidiwdnndjduw85eos73
I’m a year late, but whatever. Have you heard of lostwave music? It’s kind of the same concept as this, except people have the music (either full songs or audio clips), but can’t find out who made it. It’s basically a flip of this.
@@DukLoverEKT I've heard of that before. The first example I think of is everyone knows that, but that's been found in a very particular place
One my my favorite missing pieces of music which I can only dream could be found is a Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd song called, “She was a Millionaire.” It was said by those that heard it that it was even better than See Emily Play and was likely the hit single the Floyd was looking for at the time. Syd was unwell and it was never finished. The existing tapes were believed to have been destroyed.
Often times, people will mistake this track for an existing live cut called, “One in a Million,” likely a Waters tune. This one was completely different. I’m a Syd nut and for me it’s the holy grail. But it’s likely gone forever.
They had a decent amount of material recorded for an album called "Household Objects" which they were working on round about the same time as Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here which featured no standard musical instruments (the wine glasses on Shine On You Crazy Diamond and mechanical sounds on Welcome To The Machine wound up being used on those tracks) but it sounds like an interesting idea, if a bit too left field for most
Some of this was actually released on their retrospective box set they did in the late 2010s
Oh man, I didn't even know about this, and I love PF a lot.
I wish I could hear it, since it's said that it's better that See Emily Play and that song is one of my favorite Floyd songs, but damn.. It really does hurt to hear that the tapes are believed to be destroyed...
There’s clues about what it might sound like. Some say it sounded a bit like Opel. There’s evidence supporting this as there’s a bootlegged copy of Rick on the organ playing a piece that sounds a lot like the opening to Opel.
m.ua-cam.com/video/lPSpkknxn7c/v-deo.html&pp=ygUkU3lkIEJhcnJldHQgLSBPcGFsIHdpdGggYWRkZWQgbGF5ZXJz
Here’s a link of a fan edit someone made adding Rick’s 1967 organ recording and a few fan made layers to the song.
Dude, i'm a very big fan of N.W.A and Cube and Eazy, had no idea there was a lost track, that's really cool hope we'll get to hear it sometime...
Is it just me or did i randomly find him and can’t stop watching
Literally same
yeah man, he’s somehow so underrated man
I found him a while back (probably recommended because I watched a lot of "lost media" videos). But yea, he's underrated. Should pop off any day now...
Sound more like a "them" than a "him"
How many times has this happened to you now?
The lost My Bloody Valentine album was released in 2013 as Mbv. It took a while but it came out.
Just an FYI about the Bible album from Michael Jackson: That entire album was nothing but fake tracks made by Frank Casico, who he and his family were friends of Michael for a couple decades before his death in 2009. Three of the alleged tracks were included on the infamous 2010 posthumous Michael album which have now legally been determined to not include Michael Jackson's vocals but a vocal impersonator, allegedly Jason Malachi, a Michael Jackson soundalike with many recordings falsely associated to Michael but are Jason. Those three tracks appearing on the Michael album have since been scrubbed completely from streaming and physical releases.
I know one lost album that alot of channels don't talk about: Eminem 2006 album "King Mathers", if I'm not mistaken the only song that was leaked from that album was a song called "goat". It was rumored the reason why the album was never released was because Eminem was completely messed up on pills during the entire recording process (listen to that leak song goat and you will notice a difference in his voice). And keep in mind he recorded that album months after his best friend (proof) was killed. So long story short, Eminem went to rehab right after finishing the album, after he left rehab, he re listened to the entire album and thought it was not up to his standards. Which is wild because that song "goat" is really good.
I think fans have made a tracklist of features and unreleased songs from the 2005-2007 period to get as close what it may have been.
Most of the songs were scrapped, but some were repurposed. "Goat", "It's Been Real", "Syllables", "The Apple" and a few others were scrapped and later leaked. While songs like "Beautiful", "When I'm Gone", "You Don't Know", and possibly a few others being repurposed for other albums.
A few other Eminem lost albums/tracks are the songs Dre said "went too far" for his early albums, the original tracks meant for Encore that later got scrapped after most of the track list leaked well before the album dropped, causing the entire Encore album to be rerecorded as different songs (the bonus tracks for Encore are all "scrapped" tracks from the original album, relapse 2 while some songs were repurposed for Refill and Recovery we still have tracks that never saw the light of day as evidenced by "Jimmy Brian And Mike" supposedly originally being from Relapse 2 but only being released last year. Eminem was supposed to be the executive producer for the movie "Bodied" and he supposed had atleast 3 new original tracks on the album for that movie, but the album never released and to this day the only Eminem music that was released in relation to that movie was the 30 second snippet of his new song playing in the background of a club. There was also another teaser snippet around that time recorded in a grocery store while you could hear an unreleased Eminem song in the background but the song was never released and to this day we only have that 10 second teaser clip. During the release cycle of "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" 50 Cent claimed he had a verse on the album, though we've never gotten the verse. After The Marshall Mathers LP 2 released Eminem stated that he recorded over 200 songs from the album, it's unknown if any of those have been reused for other albums or not. And if I remember correctly I think Eminem said that he recorded 3 different versions of "Survival" and the one featured on the album was completely different from the other two versions.
"Straight from the Lab" "Straight From The Vault" and "The Invasion Mixtape" all have some really underrated leaked tracks and lesser known freestyles.
2 things to add about the Beatles songs. For ‘Carnival of Light’, it is believed that parts of that song were sprinkled in on the White Album track ‘Revolution 9’ (which was officially released in 1968)
Also, there’s accounts stating that they performed an acoustic version of ‘When I’m 64’ during a power outage at the Cavern Club in 1962. That song would be officially released on Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967.
When I'm 64 was most likely written in the 50s
some people also say that Carnival of Light appears on the Love album, on the I Want You mashup
@@sdowww Maybe, but I find it to be very unlikely. It's clear Paul wants it released but Olivia and Yoko are very much against it and I think it would require their permission
i was not expecting to see siivagunner in this but it makes sense the more i think about it
Correction for Heat Melts Cube: Ice Cube wasn’t the first to diss NWA, they first dissed him in their song 100 Miles and Runnin. Also, Dr. Dre’s album was titled “The Chronic”, while Death Row was the label he worked with to make it
Sister to sleep was played by mcr last year on their reunion tour one time on October 17th and the previous time before this was 2003
I love this category a ton, and not only did one of my favorite lost media youtubers make a 30-entry video about the subject, but he got two of my other favorite lost media youtubers to collaborate with him. Great video, Rob.
Ah American R&B singer called Nicole wray debuted in 1997 and had a couple hits, including “make it hot” featuring missy Elliot and Timbaland, I can’t see Ft missy Elliot and a couple more. She was about to be a big star and she worked with many big people. She started working on her sophomore album called “elektric blue” around 1999 and was set to release in 2001. Unfortunately her label, after not promoting the few singles she out out before the release of the album, decided to shelve the album because of the lack of success in the charts. The album leaked mostly, but many of the songs are snippets or in low quality. I wish it got found
10:53 I may add, as a Kanye meatrider, a version leaked earlier this year of Mama's Boy, but it's produced by Anthony Kilhofer and has a different beat. As well, many recreations are out there of what it may sound like. Also, according to an interview with Madlib, Kanye wanted to take credit for the beatchop and not pay him, which might've been why it was scrapped. Info from Ye Tracker fyi
One of the BEST channels on UA-cam! I love learning about lost media and this is the place to jog memories....mission accomplished Jorge 💜
Well done. One fact check, though, and it's a very minor one in the context of the video: Charles Manson was not a serial killer. To most people's knowledge, he technically killed one person prior to the Tate/La Bianca murders (related to him failing to get a record deal), but it was his ordering of his cult to commit a mass murder event that made him notorious. Contrary to popular belief, however, Manson was not a direct participant in that horrific crime, only a conspirator. It is widely believed by some (but not entirely proven) that this was revenge against people involved with Dennis Wilson, a founding member of the Beach Boys, after Manson was unable to land his record deal.
Very cool, some factual information for a change
Swell up by Crucial Conflict (1998) is also an interesting, unreleased song. It was supposed to be on the soundtrack for the movie belly but the soundtrack was already finished, the song was used for a scene in the movie as a background track but it was never heard anywhere else, producer for Crucial conflict Q-Ball said that he still has the song and wants to release it but has not set up a date. Only a recreated instrumental for the track can be found on UA-cam, but other than that, it's off limits of the public.
Wow LSSQ and Scribbles to screen what a collaboration😎😏🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘
I wish all imagine dragons songs were lost media
Amen
This is a worldwide burn that is felt between us all
Some corrections for the lost Slipknot stuff:
-The Gold Disc wasnt actually recorded live, they just added fake audience cheering (which is basically unanymously hated within the community)
-Only "Sauce" has a small snippet of it recorded live and it probably wasnt an entire song, more akin to Anders saying "crooooooowz" during Killers Are Quiet (MFKR)
-Coleslaw, Carve, Windows and Heartache And A Pair Of Scissors (Scissors) was part of the Silver Disc
-Not sure what you mean by "Every song from the Gold Disc has been recorded of them live, though some of the studio recordings are nowhere to be found" (10:11), the entire Gold Disc is very much leaked and publically available and all of them are studio recordings. Although, some of the songs from it does not have a live version recorded with Anders/Corey respectively
a nice surprise to hear LSSQ on this video!
My holy grail would be the "Black Zeppelin" recording. Sometime in 1973 (pretty much at both bands' peaks), Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin recorded an impromptu jam session. The tape exists somewhere, but nobody knows where it is.
*I've found Shaqs album but it contains 14 tracks. It's in FLAC format also.*
Can you send it to my email if I give it to you?
One that no one remembers are the first demos of the band Bloc Party back when they were called The Angel Range, 1 minute demos are available on youtube but the full songs were never released and are nowhere to be found.
37:38 the album was titled The Chronic. Death Row was the record label Dr. Dre co-founded
Great stuff as always
Woah. Was not expecting to see Knox/Klay World in here. That's a blast from the past. I used to watch Knox's stuff religiously.
I'M STUCK EVEN FURTHER IN THE VCR
Crazy how Shaq came back into the music scene a Diesel and actually made some really good dubstep
The DINOSAUR EP section is outdated as many of those songs have since been found, especially later on in 2022. 2 versions of Car, Dinosaur, Suicidal thoughts, Prism, Pale and etc.
Found this looking for lost slipknot media and am enjoying the channel
@39:41 “R. Z. A.” 🤣
The center of lost music will always be “like the wind” and I find it funny
i think a really interesting, if obscure lost song is nine inch nails' "just do it", which was scrapped from the downward spiral before it released. it had to do with the protagonist of the album committing suicide, which leads me to believe it either came before/after "the downward spiral" in the album, or it originally took the place of that song.
from what i understand, it was scrapped due to the producer, flood, not wanting anything to do with the song, which is clearly saying a *lot* considering he was still willing to work with the song "big man with a gun". if you've heard that song, then... yeah.
besides all that though, and potentially a couple lyrics, there really isn't a lot of other information on the song, and i highly doubt trent reznor would ever release the song (if it's still even archived after all these years), so it almost certainly will remain lost indefinitely.
my band actually made an interpritation of this track but we only recorded our interpretation as a demo.
I managed to get the "lost" slipknot demo afew years ago but got no idea if it's still available
Damn I almost got some lost demos from Madonna, Slipknot and etc on ebay I wish I did get them because I would of asked someone to upload them to UA-cam for me.
@@Highrollinhunter I think they're on UA-cam already
I once saw a 50 Cent demo album at a record shop, I didn't get it at the time because I was a kid so I was on a strick allowance and I really wanted a different album, but I regret not getting it every single time I hear about lost media because I later found out that the album the demos were associated with was cancelled and never came out, and I've still never heard a single song that was supposed to be on that album, the record shop has since gone out of business so I can't even contact them about it 😢
@@dylanbrown3090 It was likely his "power of the dollar" album from 2000. Very rare to get physically but thankfully all of the tracks are online. Yeah I would be kicking myself for not getting that album since legit physical copies are worth a lot of money nowadays
YES!!! FINALLY SOMEONE TALKING ABOUT THE LOST SLIPKNOT DEMOS!!!
14:08
"Central Highway - Mega Man X" is infact not lost, it still an be found under the new title of "Opening Stage - Mega Man X".
I think the Green Day is a bogus story. As you said there was massive pressure. A Make it or Break it cross road. Either way... what they did end up doing was the right choice.
Like RHCP and 311... they had very successful careers as Knucklehead fun bands. They all put out very deep and thought out LPs that took them all into a higher level of success they never could've imagined!
Very few bands have multiple runs at the S-tier of success.
All the bands deserved ot because very few bands have the ability to GROW and yet still carry all the fans that have been around forever
17:00 "Taking the Long Way" wasn't well received by critics? It's their second highest rated album on metacritic, made several "best of 2006" lists, and won 5 Grammy awards, including Album of the Year.
Yeah, I was about to post the same thing. Thanks for catching that. Besides what you wrote, Rolling Stone gave it four stars, and USA Today gave it four stars upon release and best album of the year a few months later.
ecco2k - play em like atari full version 💔
Lots of interesting lost music
as a hardcore poppyseed i did not except poppy 2 b mentioned!! hope this brings more eyes 2 the bubblebath sessions hunt... i've been looking 4 the full bubblebath song 4 a while now
About the lost slipknot demos the gold disc with anders colsefni has been leaked a long time ago with the one not being leaked is the one with Corey Taylor
there's also very early lost slipknot track. a song titled Wave Like The Pope is permanently lost, some collectors have songs like Sauce and Visqueen
@@mfkrmaggot2755yeah that is just sad I didn’t know sauce was recorded in the studio 💀
MCR5 was going to be called Paper Kingdom
So much is off with the RHCP section, and the MCR section. I’ll start with RHCP since they’re the band I’m more attuned to. The details around I’m With You are off. The I’m Beside You series of singles comprise 17 of the rejected songs that were left off of I’m With You; in total we have 31 of the 50 songs that are known to exist, with 19 missing, including Renaissance. There’s a missing alternate mix of Ethiopia that had a saxophone solo, but the finished version made I’m With You.
As for MCR, Sister to Sleep was only known to have been played live once, in 2003. A low quality recording was out there but not anything from the studio. It was played live for the first time in 19 years in October of 2022, which means we have a much better recording of it to go off of.
Hate to be so nitpicky, but it's My Bloody Valentine, not My Bloody Valentine's
Great video though!
Also, their first album was titled "Isn't Anything," not "This Isn't Anything"
I noticed the mispronounced so many names in this vid
Bruce Springsteen has loads of unreleased music.. some of those have been found .. 3 songs from darkness on the edge of town still remain unreleased.. about 150 songs from born in the USA are lost.. the unreleased electric Nebraska album…a country album from 1986… a so called rap album from 1994..
Them lost slipknot demos are interesting they seem better than the final material with Corey Taylor in my opinion. And some of the found Madonna demos found better than the final versions.
If anyone is looking, I got most of the leaks from dinosaur in a Tyler tracker just in case anyone was looking or didn't know where to find it
12:44 i came here for this
Me: Ooh another lost media video. I mean there can’t be that much lost music I don’t kno-
SHAQUILLE O’NEAL PRESENTS HIS SUPERFRIENDS
Me: OK we need to find this
fyi The milli vanill thing. It was ONE guy who sang both their parts. ONE guy
Music Lost Media is the best 👌
What about U2’s
album before NO LINE ON THE HORIZON?
As a slipknot fan, I found someone upload the full mate.feed.kill.repeat. album on UA-cam. The only track on it mentioned in this video is tattered and torn, I think. Tattered and torn did make it onto their 1999 self titled album, but it’s a different version then the one on MFKR. (Same for Prosthetics, but prosthetics wasn’t on MFKR.)
Those lost X songs have been my autistic interest for a while now since like 2019 he has stuff from 2012 too from Facebook but those are completely lost we are still trynna finish finding gnarly freestyle and elegant too which we only have snippets from but a lot of people like to scam X fans sadly and don’t care about the impact he had on us and why we care so much too he was a vocal point for kids and teens/young adults that were sad/angry/anything he had an energy that never can be replicated RIP LLJ 🕊️ Hope we get more losts soon
My favorite member of the wu-tang clan is their lead singer R-Z-A
I'm confused about the MCR portion- I have a full copy of the Sister to Sleep track, and I have since 2009? Like, it's live, but I have it
if you make a follow up could you put an entry about melodi brown? i find their story interesting because i love early 2000s pop music & their fate is kinda sad. they were meant to release one song in 2002 & a whole album in 2003 but they got dropped because another girl group on the same label got more traction & possibly also got dropped due to racism since they were black, then their songs were recorded by other artists which turned into hits for them, biggest of which was "do somethin'" by britney spears. most of the songs meant for their album are lost in full
actually critics did like "Taking the Long Way Home"
Shkreli literally charged insurance companies for the drugs. Not patients. Patients that could not afford/lacked insurance were given the medication for free and just had to fill out a form. People make so much out of nothing.
Cigarettes and Valentines was not stolen per Green Day’s manager
Great video and really intresting topic bro
Clicked for MBV
Uptown nolia boi by juvenile isnt lost but the cd to it is i cant seem to find a trace of it in existance and i would love to have a copy if someone does
I got this video recommended due to being a fan of blameJorge And been binging it ever since love the content
Nice Guys Finish Last Video Was Eventually released
I don't believe the story about Cigarettes and Valentine's being stolen, there's little proof to back up those claims so I doubt it actually happened, what's more likely is the band simply wasn't happy with how the album turned out and concocted some bogus story so the label would let them do a completely new album that they were actually happy with.
to me, I've always thought that maybe the masters got corrupted, and they told the label they were stolen to make a new album which they truly enjoyed. I can kinda see the stolen story if you think they recorded the demos or masters on CD and those got stolen or destroyed on accident. The Corrupted Masters theory could also explain the recover and release of songs originally from CAV as B sides and on the Counting albums (Uno, Dos, Tres).
I clicked as soon as I saw mbv on the thumbnail
My music technically counts as lost music media because I got depressed while mixing it and never released my record.
the best was saved for last
A perfect eating video ✨
when you talked about mbv i thought you were gonna talk about the 80s things they made before they were a shoegaze band
So you’re telling me there’s a song by Kanye with soulja boy produced by q tip ? We gotta hear it one day
gotta find all the my bloody valentine I can
This is a very good video, and I like that you collaborated with LSuperSonicQ and Scribbles to Screen. Also, are you gonna make more videos about lost music?
My cousin and I used to stay up late as kids watching Klay World and dying of laughter, thanks for reminding me of those times now I’m gonna binge klay world
Why include the king of pop but not the queen? There’s a lot of infamous demos from throughout her career, especially “The Rain Tapes” demos from 1992
I guess my unreleased songs count as lost music 😵
Love music lost media. Beatles and oasis are my personal favourites
No one ever talks about Gaga's ARTPOP part2, even if is relatively recent 😂
Great video like always!
Oh, anything with any connection to 9/11 is because of 9/11. Everything ceased on that day, including music. Definitely any release dates were cancelled and/or delayed.
That might be the case, but I can name some other albums that released on 9/11.
I don’t if this counts as a lost media or not. But I really that I could find the full version of the song at the end of “Deadringer” by Knocked Loose. I shazam’d it and it never gave me any results. Even people on Reddit are also wondering if they could listen to the full track.
BRUHHHHHHHH AMAZING VIDEO 10/10
the smashing pumpkins has sooooo much lost songs !!! u should check it out
I mean what did Green Day expect it’s Oakland the most dangerous city in California 😂
comments: people who actually watched the video
meanwhile me: literally just confused why the gilvasunner/siivagunner pfp is in the thumbnail
Same.
Wait I can find cigarettes and valentines on Spotify I think its also live but way better quality than what you showed
Uhhh still can’t stop the reign by Shaw was a banger and had a top 5 biggie verse on it 😂
"2000 01"
There is a piece of spooky instrumental music
I have searching around for about 15 years
I would consider it a lost piece myself as the only known video that had it was deleted off UA-cam a long time ago
I hope one day it will turn up again.
48:43 3rd guy on the right side, is he vaping?
Omg lol
The album is the chronic not death row. The label of dr dre is death row.
Where the timestamps at
hey your info about The Dixie Chicks album Taking The Long Way is a bit off only a few critics didnt like it in fact it mostly got rave reviews and won 5 of 7 grammys it was nominated for...Just sayin as even with the missing tracks it was an amazing record
turns out Rape isn’t really a dark song
This video features little in the way of fact
Theres a solo debut album I wish I could get my hands on- I'd consider it lost tbh. Theres an album "Passiflora" which was meant to be released in 2008 as Tobias Forges solo album. It was never released nor leaked. Theres 1 song out on the internet but those who have copies won't leak it
Saw tyler and had to click
It’s pronounced Seevuh-gunner
