I really like your videos and watching you prepare simple, inexpensive meals. They always look really good to me and made me know that mealtime does not have to be too much work. Also, you made me realize I am eating portions that are too large. I like the sound of your voice and the way you explain things.
Hi Kathleen 😁 Thank you so much. I'm glad you are enjoying my videos. Please don't use my portion size as a guide for yourself. I eat smaller meals more frequently because that's what feels good to my body. Some people eat MUCH larger portions and it works well for them. In my normal daily life, I will eat 4-5 smaller meals instead of 3 large ones. Eating a large meal makes me physically uncomfortable. Listen to your body and just make sure you are getting adequate nutrition. I appreciate your comment so much! Thank you for supporting my channel 😁👩🍳 Have a great rest of your week.

I don’t usually buy boneless skinless chicken breast unless under $1.89 a pound. Winco frequently has under that price. Then I stock up. I usually cut the large packages in half & freeze. I also freeze 2 to a portion for BBQ chicken pizza etc. I was at Trader Joe’s today & they have cranberry orange relish for Thanksgiving that is delicious. I am trying to make less work this year!

Add some Italian seasoning on that last dish! Yum. I eat tomatoes with salt, pepper, lemon juice and Italian seasoning a lot as part of my breakfast. Tastes great with some bacon and 2 fried eggs.

I told the family that if we move to a new state or city there must be a Trader Joes within an hours drive. Hopefully not even that far. 😂 I think I linked the George Foreman Grill but if you go to my Amazon storefront you can see all the products I've purchased or recommend.

I think it will be interesting one video without using the oven. Where I live electric prices are crazy high, like 1h of oven it's almost 2$. So I really try not to use the oven, and when I do I pack it full. Not 4 chips or 3 tomatos, to do sundried

I have a question Michelle that you might be able to figure out and maybe you could be part of a video… You mentioned the bone in thighs being cheaper than the boneless chicken breasts but if you have to throw all the bones away I’m wondering ounce for ounce how much meat you’re getting the chicken breasts are probably a better deal, right? I wonder how much chicken end up costing you if you bought like say 5 pounds of chicken breasts and bone it yourself or 5 pounds of thighs and it if it would cost more than buying boneless and skinless?
This is a great idea! I wonder if when you’re prepping the bone in chicken thighs using the bone to create a chicken stock would also factor into the cost? You’re still throwing the bones away (and your time would count too) but you’re getting something out of the bones before you do. Can you tell I’ve been watching a whole bunch of budget videos and using your food budget to the max?
Using the chicken bones to make a bone broth is much cheaper than buying ready made broth & you can freeze it for winter soups or for gravy. 😋
You make a valid point. 🤔 The bones definitely weigh something so in the end I'm not sure what the actual weight difference is. Would be interesting to find out.
Pricing is so weird right now, I noticed that frozen drumsticks were priced higher per pound than the frozen chicken breasts at SamsClub. Maybe the breasts cost had not increased yet? I couldn't figure out any other explanation for it.
