Cab Ride

My first cab ride, actually a GoPro on a flat car. But it gives the same effect. Gives a different perspective of the train layout. Get a glimpse of the hidden staging areas. Doesn't show all of them. The lighting is not the best in those areas.

Why I the camera not position above the track the train is on. Looks light we are floating down the middle of two tracks.

I was wondering if someone would notice that. The Go Pro is much wider than a flat car.
Not enough clearance on the right of way to position in the middle of one track

Hell Yeah! Talk about long overdue! Love this layout and to be able to take a cabride along it, priceless. Is that the entire mainline run?

Yep, that's about all there is to it. The only area I didn't show is a reverse loop that is hidden with staging tracks. May try to run a camera through there, but there is very little lighting in that area. Thinking about mounting a flashlight on a flat car in front of the camera and going down the middle of both staging areas. I have gone back to some of your older videos to catch your progression on your pike. When did you start building your layout? Thanks for your feedback.

@@cnwtrain Well in that case you do a hell of a job model railroading because from watching this layout for years now I thought it was way bigger. Just goes to show how well its designed. I'd like to use a go pro for my cabride but it wouldn't fit into the bridge and I think would probably hit some signals so I use the $40 amazon special spy camera that is "HD" but its not nearly a go pro. I would do the flashlight trick, see how it turns out. Plus you have a lot of motive power stashed in there! Let's see it. I "broke ground" on SFS4 in 2013 ish and am very slowly trucking my way along. No hurry here! But it seems that my mind has decided that when the fall comes, I'm starting up on the lower level construction again, so lets see if my mind sticks to it. Also you'll enjoy my current Geep project...I should have a video up this weekend I think
