    im doing something like this with solar panels, it should work similarly right?

    • @diyhobbyistcoupleph4985
      @diyhobbyistcoupleph4985  5 місяців тому

      Yep it works similarly. But if you want to charge your battery you need to have a solar controller. And it must be compatible with your battery and bulb. Like if the battery is 12 volts and the bulb is 12 volts, the solar controller must be 12 volta also. If they are all compatible the connection is like this. From solar panel > solar controller > battery > switch > bulb.

  • @whinkx

    I'm looking to do this with a candelera bulb (It's a 7-Watt 120 Volt C7) will this still work with that kind of bulb? Also, I'm having skme trouble finding a switch like this online. Do you happen to know the name or a link that could help? Thank you!

    • @diyhobbyistcoupleph4985
      @diyhobbyistcoupleph4985  4 місяці тому +1

      If you use a 120volts candelabra your source should also be 120volts. But be careful of open circuits. For the switch just type "surface type switch" or "surface mounted switch" and it will show you some examples. And one of those is this type of switch.

      @@diyhobbyistcoupleph4985 Thanks for the response! I did buy some battery holders with wiring. If I put however many batteries I would need to make up the equivalent amount of volts into the proper holder, would that work?

    • @diyhobbyistcoupleph4985

      @@whinkx if your candelabra is DC(direct current) you will need a lot of battery. But if it is AC(alternating current) it won't work.
