  • How to Dry/Dehydrate Citrus (Fruit Slices) in the Oven (Soap Making/Potpourri)
    In this video, I am preparing and drying orange slices for use in my orange cold-process soaps. I use these dehydrated slices to decorate the top of my sweet orange soap. I also crush a few slices to sprinkle on top of my soap to give an amazing look and smell. These dried fruit slices can also be scented with sweet orange and cinnamon leaf essential oil, mixed with pinecones and cinnamon sticks to give a lovely festive scent at Christmas time.

    This is the third or fourth video that I have tried watching to learn how to dry fruit slices. Thank you for being concise, I enjoyed the straightforward presentation without the loud music or extra fillers. Straight to the point! I also enjoyed your accent. :)

    Love this tutorial! I want to redo an art piece I did that had fruit on it, but I didn't know how to do a dry fruit look to them, so they rotted and fell off after the show.
    This will be perfect to do since they'll be flat down and easier to work with.

    Can you tell us how to store them for future use please?

    • @jadzybathbodyproducts7195
      @jadzybathbodyproducts7195  3 роки тому +1

      They usually store well in a clear plastic bag once completely dry. As with normal potpourri the scent will fade after a while but you can use sweet orange essential oil to revive it.

      Maybe you need an oven thermometer to make sure it is the right temperature because nothing burns on such a low setting, unless you leave it longer than suggested.
