Best ones here are Kelly and Halle. Kelly is masterful at knowing why the original is so loved whilst still sprinkling "Kelly"into it. Sometimes she doesn't detract hardly at all from the original because she knows she doesn't need to, nor should. In short, she understands 'just because you can doesn't mean you should'. Halle is talented and clearly took whatever direction she got to deliver the song in the musical theatre style...and still sprinkled enough "Halle" to make it different. I don't think many people appreciate how hard of a job it it to take any song that isn't yours and put your own stamp on it, while still honoring the original, especially if it's one of the iconic ones that the entire world knows. And as a former actor, her acting wasn't even that bad. It could have used to little extra help to put her over the top but she went in the right direction at at least.

Thank you!😊
OMG THAT J-LO PERFORMANCE- GOOD LORD
I consider J Lo as a musical poetry reader not a singer……and any Barbra piece is a virtuoso ONLY song. The narrator is right, she has too much money for paying too many yes-you-can people.
Still wondering how anyone can call jlo a vocalist lol
Best vocalists to cover songs imo: Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Luther Vandross and Lisa Fischer ❤💖✨️
And I am sure of this Because #1 I have the original album it first released in 1976
I'm sorry. Everyone loves to jump on this Rita Ora hate train. She can sing well. That part of the show was purely a bit of drama for a live show. She meant to oversing. The crowd were in love with her.
you talk about covers and no little mix in sight??
I like how Within Temptation did "Running up that hill"
Plz check out XG. Their vocal is awesome! They have three main vocalists out of 7 members, and they’re great at singing live. They just performed at HITC New York and it was awesome.
Thought the John Legend bit was a joke... he sounded terrible imo.
Yeah, never been a fan of him
True
im here to beg for a So Hyang video
Harry❤❤❤
"hello gays" lol
Even if well sung mirroring is still just mirroring
Unpopular opinion, you should do part 2 and put rise up cover by Morisette, Attention by Charlie Puth cover by Reed Deeming. Because of copyright claim during it has more than views than og before UA-cam take down the video.
And also Karmin cover super bass using a bandslam version, Lea Michele to love you more & any Jennifer Hudson cover.
Every video with Kelly Clarkson is immediately ten times cooler.
Pleasssee pleasee add Jessica J. Her covers in the show I AM SINGER were insanely good
😢 Christina? I'm crying, I loved the cover. I regularly thinks about it while commuting. I'm dead 😭
And Rita, I don't think it's that bad, at least what he showed us here.
But I'm an untrained ear, so maybe it doesn't matter what I think anyways😢
Untrained ears are much easier to impress because you’re not able to catch the subtleties of vocal technique and delivery yet.
@@XxQueenChristinaxX This. Like…I’m sorry about it, but this is why art isn’t as subjective as people think it is. When one doesn’t don’t know what to look or listen for, it’s a bit of a moot point. I can admit art is largely subjective, but there comes a point when you have to stop validating everything because then it all becomes a mosh pit of crazy with no meaning. There’s a rhyme and reason to what makes something good.
George Benson definitely sang Greatest Love Of All first, Whitneys was a cover too! Lol
