Goeie dag! I’m a South African who lives abroad! I never had the chance to learn Afrikaans. Your videos help me understand the language much better. Dankie vir alles! ❤
My mother's from Cape Town and I always have this feeling of familiarity whenever I hear anyone speaking Afrikaans or generally someone from there with that accent. It's just so comforting^^ I might take this language up too since I mostly understand everything but can't actually speak it myself yet. Greetings from Austria😊
0:17 Use STOMPI it’s Subject (for example that cat) Tense (future, past, present whatever) Object (that stoplight) Manner (forgot) Place (Cape town, Johannesburg, really whatever) And Infinity (most of the time infinity is scrapped, but whenever anything after OM comes is basically infinity) And then you get the two verbs. Verb 1 goes after subject, Verb 2 after place. So the full one will be: SV1TOMPV2I
You make affrikaans very easy. I have long wanted to understand STOMPI but you came to my rescue. Do you offer online classes? Where can you be reached, email or website?
Absolutely, yes. Just send us an email to yourafrikaanschannel@gmail.com and we can arrange personalised one on one online sessions for you. Thank you for reaching out and looking forward to hearing from you soon.
In Dutch we have both “Hij was ziek” and “Hij is ziek geweest”. I’m sure there are grammatical rules for this, but nobody knows them because Dutch is really hard. 😅
Very informative.

Would you be my friends?😊
Wonderlik! Hoop ons kan help.
Natuurlik! Of course!
Very interesting! In German we also say "Er war krank" and not "Er war krank gewesen". 👍
Ok, thank you.
Ich lerne auch Deutsch. Das ist ein tolles tip. Ich bin der Mann ins Videos.

"het" and "sal" are auxiliary verbs? 🤔
"Het" and "sal" are auxilliary verbs of modality that are used to indicate the tense of a sentence to be future or past tense.

Groot plesier!
"Ek het 'n selfoon gehad" = "Ik heb een mobieltje/smartphone gehad" of "ik had een mobieltje/smartphone" in het Nederlands...
Dankie.
Bedankt.
Haha, het is al even moeilijk dan het Nederlands. Hoe mensen het kunnen leren, ik snap het niet …😵💫
Kyk nog 'n keer. :-)
