"Het" and "sal" are auxilliary verbs of modality that are used to indicate the tense of a sentence to be future or past tense.

Thank youfor your comment, in Afrikaans around South Afrika it is still Dankie. Danko is derived from Dank U. Dank means to be thankful and u is a formal way to address someone of importance. Afrikaans also refers to God as U. (Pronounced UU nou't you) Danko is slang and possibly used colloquially where over rounding of vowels makes the words sound differently. Most native Afrikaans speaking people will not recognise Danko, but will be too polite to correct the person.
