I’m pretty sure Ammco transmissions did not properly grease up my clutch fork or pivot point and the damn thing squeaks and squeals all the time, an way I can grease them up without taking the transmission out of the car?

@@sto1asgoetia600 no unfortunately not, only way to get to them is my removing the transmission. Are you church pedal bushings good? If they’re work through then you could have metal to metal and making that noise, just a thought.

@@FastFords289I already changed the clutch bearing, the bearing retainer and the fork and im getting a noise im currently putting grease into the fork and pivot from the top without having to remove the transmission hopefully that solves it

@ well if it’s hydraulic then there might be air in the line or slave cylinder or master cylinder still. If it’s cable then your cable could be worn and stretched, if it’s touching the exhaust or close enough to melt it then it’ll be a tough pedal. If it’s linkage then it could be a bad pivot bushing where the linkage attaches to the block and frame or it could be out of adjustment which is a possibility for any style clutch setup, if it’s not adjusted properly it wouldn’t feel right. It also depends on what you mean by feels weird, like tough pedal, soft pedal, spongy, loose or low pedal? There’s a lot of variables.

@ ok so you say noise, like when you touch the pedal? You said you replaced the clutch bearing and retainer, I’m assuming you mean the throw out bearing and retainer on the fork, but you didn’t mention the pilot bearing that’s pressed into the crank shaft. That will cause a noise when they start wearing, so will the throw out bearing, which if you bought a cheap throw out bearing or have it adjusted with too much tension on it that will prematurely wear it out and cause it to make a noise as well. As far as installing grease from the top, I’m not sure how you’re doing that but I’d be careful putting too much grease in there, it could get on the clutch and fling it around and cause the clutch to slip and have heat spots in your flywheel.

Hi, so I’m supposed to be done with this clutch but I messed up. I should’ve got a new master & slave but thought it could be reused. Somehow fork came off pivot point & now I have take everything out & put everything back in. One think I’m noticing from different videos is which side the “Tear drop” should face. I seen one video say Cable/Rod rise but here you’re saying opposite side. I have a 1993 Sonoma 2.8 with a T5 & both sides of the fork are round. I didn’t see a “Flat” side so I’m a bit puzzled as to which side tear drop should face…

Really, I’ve never seen one with both sides rounded but you want the rounded side of the throw out bearing to the rounded side closest to the pivot point on the fork. Tear drop faces opposite side of pivot point. Hope this helps, and good luck on your build.
      Thanks for watching.

I just use wheel bearing grease.
