Can you do the 4a 5g vs Pixel 5? Love these comparisons!
Camera (with wide angle) , 3.5mm headphone jack, battery life, that's what matters to me in a phone so it's the Pixel. Great battery test comparison and the first I have seen for Pixel 4a 5G. However no knocking the OnePlus Nord or Samsung S20 fe. All three phones unbelievably good and great value. Down to aesthetics and personal taste at the end of the day. You pays your money and you takes your choice.

I have a 4a 5G, and with dark mode and 2-3 hours screen time per day it always goes at least 3 days on 1 charge. Sometimes 4+ days.
Thank you for this. I can easily last an entire day at school with the nord then. I was worried that the 4115 mah battery wouldn’t do well considering i’m used to my 5000 mah phone right now. Thanks!

Hi! Thank you very much for the comparison. I was just wondering that you use on battery save mode on pixel 4a (5g)? I have got my phone a few days ago and the battery doesnt seem last long like here (around 5-6 hours with moderate usage)
Same here man... But I just got an update today, hopefully that improves it
@@mariaha9537 I contacted with google and they suggested apps update and it was around 40. It seems a little improved but around 9 with moderate usage again🤔I will test over weekend and might request a reppacement. Let me know please if yours improves.

@@feyzaozkan2483 hey Feyza, I contacted Google as well and ended up doing phone software and app updates, and then a factory reset. That really improved it, phone would last me a day and a bit with a total of 9h active screen time. I would say at moderate use. I'm quite satisfied with that

google is probably intentionally limiting the performance for better battery life. even pixel 5 has about 10% less performance than other 765g phones.

@@cattitude3944 they did on their old iphones. it's no biggy for android tho. you can easily root and modify cpu governor settings for desirable performance. I think the difference in performance is negligible for regular users but still when u are paying for that amount of money u should get the most out of it.

Although it's in spanish you can see that both the Oneplus Nord scores higher than the pixel 5 but in games and other tasks the Pixel 5 is better...that's the reason I don't (use to) trust benchmarks
The camera is more important than the fast charging;)
Charging speed is still important though
I dont think the hz really matters coz you just running UA-cam games cameras which not using the high refresh. Unlike scrolling fb or twitch or webpage

The Memory Effect only existed in Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries from earlier days so what you said is false
Modern Smartphone batteries can be charged no matter what percentage they are at
Say for example 74% a modern Smartphone at 74% will simply charge back up to 100%

My 4a 5g never got this much SOT and my usage is never as intense as this video.
I wonder if android 12 and 13 ruined the battery optimization
So...stale mate p4a5g lasts 30-40 min longer but the 1+nord charges 40 min faster

Yes, you can buy the base Nord for the same price as the Pixel 4a (£350) now and it is superior in nearly every way. It also beats out the more expensive Pixel 4a 5g and really hard to by either of these Pixels in Europe, strictly for Google fandom that buy no matter what.
Does not surprise me about the poor benchmarks, Google have no doubt reduced the performance in favour of battery life and got the YT community to hype that (hyperbole on every video on a Pixel by #teampixel). Having used the Pixel 5 for a short time I found it disappointing. Maybe if it your only phone it will seem okay, but next to phones costing a lot less it seems slow. I think Google has raided the parts bin to maintain a margin and you feel if this was made by Xiaomi it would be selling for much less.
As for battery life, anything over 6h SOT is a win and for the average consumer that is great.
4A is the only good phone by Google this year
They should stick with 300 - 400 bucks smartphones imo
Xiaomi would make it cheaper because their software wouldn't be as optimized as the Pixel and will probably have a worse camera and rattling vibration motor.
But i do agree that the Oneplus Nord is a better deal.
The youtubers aren't wrong either, the 4a is an amazing phone that is guaranteed to get updates throughout it's support cycle
