Yes you need a special adapter buy in the end it doesn't mist as fine as the Mark 4 or 5 so it still needs to get wiped it can be used to spead the mud instead of roller but needs to get wiped right away or your left with a texture design.
Im plasterer myself, what I do is I glue 2 corner sponges together, then I glue the 2 sponges to à regularl sanding plaque.
I'll definitely try that one out, I was always curious about them. Looks much better than using a sponge!

I think one side is to get right into the angle. If the edges don't get knocked down then flip it around that side will hit the outer edges.
I think you're suppose to use foam like sand paper. Try the BLACK WIDOW sand paper, tell us if that works better
