    Great job with this channel. I'm really enjoying your vids. 👍
    I was already leaning towards the dewalt bare tool over the makita and porter cable (being the least expensive of the three) but u recommending over the festool seals the deal. Ace tool has the dewalt for $420 + free 8ah 20v dewalt battery. Was just waiting till black friday in case a better deal came along but that's already a sweet deal.

    I'm waiting for the new Festool drywall sander to come out. It was released in Europe or Australia I forget what country but what I understand is this new one is going to be awesome. It has a built-in light and it's brushless motor and it osculates. Let me know if you seen the new one yet. Aloha

      Ya seems cool I couldn't tell if it spins like the Mirka but the movement of the head doesn't seem to be 180 like the Mirka. What makes the Mirka the king is the ceiling sanding for me.

    • @bobseguin2195
      @bobseguin2195 3 роки тому

      @@csdrywallhawaii ya, I think the new festool, with the light, does have a random orbital like the mirka, they call it something else though. Not sure if head pivots 180 degrees. From what I can tell, the cost will be over $1800.00 Canadian, about $400.00 more then the mirka. The mirka is a simple, well made tool, ya to expensive, but does the job better than any I've seen.

    We run the makita and a Dewalt. Find the Makita is leaving a much better finish than the Dewalt. Maybe just my machine...

    The spinning drywall sander is much faster then the new festool or mirka. I use mirka for ceilings and the original festool planex on walls for speed.

    after using it now for a bit, is your opinion still that it's a great tool? Im replacing another wen that has the duel heads the round and the corner triangle head... Surprisingly it's been a great sander but they don't last but a year before I have to rebuy. I'm going to be buying a mirka based on your videos but was hesitant as i close up manufactured homes and all my drywall is sanding through existing texture and was wondering if the mirka could do that easily? Or should I go with dewalt? The other pad looks much better for dust! Have u used the pad from dewalt with the wholes? LMK if u got time bro, enjoy the videos!

      ua-cam.com/video/EA4K3Y38hc8/v-deo.html here a quick video of me trying to remove popcorn with the dewalt. Over all I would not buy the Mirka for anything other then finish sanding its not really meant to grind stuff down like the festool or dewalt. I would probably go with the dewalt if you already have the batteries and see if you could purchase an extended warranty. Put it though its paces if it gives out your covered.

    Just subscribed to your channel Guillermo. You give very good advice. Thanks. Just a quick question on this Dewalt tool: do you transport it in some bag or box? Dewalt does not seem to make one. This is a big flaw. You never have to worry about that with Festool or other european brands... it seems.
    Also, just a quick note. It does not matter if you use a mesh abrasive like the Mirka Abranet or similar with this tool. The dust is absorbed only on the edge of the pad, close to the outer brush. Not through the pad. I big flaw.
