I agree. IMO its the most attractive car on the road. So sad we don't get to see where the design would have gone next if they hadn't gone all retro. Some of those 400z concept renders were pretty amazing.
Hey man, in regards to your question, I've heard mention that 370's have a weird quirk where if you pull too many g's for too long around a bend you can experience engine starvation. Its something about how the gas tank is designed. Supposedly there are work arounds of course.
The factory handbrake comes really loose but I heard you can tighten them. Also how did you get passed all the nannies? VDC tends to interfere even if you hit the TCS button to let the wheels spin. Did you just pull the fuse?
@@ScatMode323 i heard that it just makes city driving (tight turns) kinda annoying cause the tires will slip slightly but most people say its pretty bearable, plus its basically a free mod instead dropping 1k on an lsd lmao
A/C in a drift car the best! When I get mine going it will have it as well! Had fun chatting with you at the event. Any ideas on what you are bringing to OMC? Going to bring the 2014 or one of the others?
@@jspeedracing the in car footage looked like it was pretty smooth considering how rough Stroud is. Hell ya man angle kit will help and maybe a hydro. Then it will be a daily driver "ish" lol
love the video man. my 370 has a muff delete, soon resognated test pipes and welding that diff. how long did it take u to learn? am a beginner but wanting to join the drift world.
East Texas Imports awesome man, thanks. It’s a great learning platform. Drift stock angle at first. I’ve been drifting for about 3-4 years now. But if you go to about 4-5 events, it should start to click. You can DM me any drift questions on my IG @jon_drives
transplant07 well my very first was a stock s14. But my second was an E36. I would totally recommend an e36 or if your budget is a bit higher maybe a Z. I have a whole playlist on my drift E36 on the channel.
Aye man , I've been trying to get into drifting for awhile, been modding my 370z ever since I got it acouple years ago. Now that I want to drift just a little sketched on fucking up my Z but lacking budget to drop 4k or what ever on a ready to drift car. Is the Z a good starter drift car in your opinion? Not price but driveability
Hey man, for a crazy cheap budget drift missile an E36 is hard to beat. But for a newer platform a Z is really good. Welded diff, oil cooler, coilers, hydro, and angle and it will rip! I just need some angle now. Thanks for watching brother.
Guys , School me. What is a welded diff? I’m a Car guy but not a mechanic . So I absolutely love cars, Tuners to American Muscle to Foreign Exotics but I’m not on the level that allows me to fix my own cars. Still gathering that information.
Jon Drives that’s funny. I live in Tulsa. I’m new to drifting and was considering getting a 370z and just searched “370z drifting”... what would you say are the the first things that should be done to a 370z to get drifting?
Colin Healey Cool man. Ya I live in Tulsa too actually. Welded diff, oil cooler, coilovers, hydro, angle, maybe mishimoto radiator. In that order haha.
Kodak haha well a welded diff or lsd is the 1 requirement to lay down some skids. Since mine is the base model that came with an open diff, I chose to weld it cause drifting an open diff is a nightmare and doesn’t really work.
5:39 you picked the cone back up
JC Meiring 😂😂😂😂
Right, pure talent. 😂😂😂
No at 5:44
The 370z is so old now that it looks new again - the thing looks incredible and honestly like a new design
It's a Timeless design. I hope they DON'T ruin it.

haha i didn't even realize that. thats so funny!

Haha I love how he did it a couple times, it just becomes so natural
100 percent stock, “welded diff” like that ain’t a big ass difference
clarence bell doesn’t look like front end is stock. See angle there

Right lol try this with open diff bet u won’t 😂

Gas starvation is better than the oil starvation that subarus can get though, right?
Very very good drive level man!!! I love your BMW e36 but the 370 z with some good mods will be the perfect drift car
Alberto motta Thanks Alberto. I’m excited to through some drift mods on the Z and let it eat!

Stock with a welded diff😉
im thinking of welding mine too... but I heard its bad if im using my car as a daily which it is..

thanks brother! check me out on IG @jon_drives. I have come a ways haha
Honestly that’s dope asf love your vids btw 🙃
Lucid_chrįstian : thanks man
Wow, the stock wheels look great.
lol go easy
How come you can drift in the gear? Do you have a shorter final drive? Even with a wide diff, not sure where you get all that low end torque from

Did you switched off the yaw sensor?

Me with my janky visco lsd🫠🐍
Coming back a year later lol, When you did this did you have an open diff? I have a 370 touring and realized only the sport and nizmo come with an LSD
It was welded diff
My stock lambo can smoke this stock car anytime. 😂😂😂
Good stuff....car looks good 👍
Did Andy do some drifting ?
Big Keg Thanks BK, Andy didn’t quite get his car together for the event. He’ll be out next month for sure 👍
how did you initiate the drift? clutch kick?
so if with stock lsd you are not able to drift ?
Jim Yiu I welded the diff. Cluck kick yes
Did you have to remove a fuse to be able to get out of traction control?
Dillon240sx yes, lots
Jon Drives which ones?
Great video man!
Thanks man
What song is that on a background??
100% stock..... welded dif and different wheels is not 100% stock. Lol
Not goin bullshit , ya nasty
how does this car handle in the corners compared to the brz/86?
It handles really well. Much faster too
That's good to know, thanks!
welded diff and an angle kit, i wouldnt call that 100% stock but yeah theyre great cars
Fred928 no angle kit just welded diff.

If you want 100 percent of your power you need to take off your bumper
