    On the 7th, there were no direct attacks on civilians, only collateral damage. Out of the 769 names on the Haaretz dataset, 462 were military personnel, including 55 soldiers, 13 privates, 59 corporals, 200 sergeants (45 of whom were sergeant majors), 48 commanders, 32 lieutenants, 5 lieutenant colonels, 6 colonels, 37 officers, 10 inspectors, 6 intendents, and 2 Lance Corp. This was a military defeat, and they are taking it out on the rest.
    Out of the 1148 total names, 403 were military personnel, 59 belonged to the police, and 668 were civilians. This means that the collateral damage on the 7th was lower than any of the iTf "mowing" operations, which has a ratio of 6:1. The ratio of civilians to military personnel killed on the 7th was 1.6:1, with 462 military personnel out of 1148 total. When including all casualties, not just deaths, the collateral damage ratio of the "mowing" operations is 162:1 and not "just" 6:1 based on analyzing UN OHC data from 2008 to 2022.
    A 162 :1 ratio means that for every 162 civillians, 1 military personnel is a casualty. The 7th had a ratio of 1.6:1, a hundred times lower.
    The reported (not all have their ages listed) ages of the victims are as follows:
    0-4: 2 civilians
    5-12: 8 civilians
    13-17: 14 civilians
    18-25: 132 civilians
    26-40: 119 civilians
    41-60: 55 civilians
    61+: 40 civilians
    18-25: 258 active duty military personnel
    26-40: 60 active duty military personnel
    41-60: 17 active duty military personnel
    61+: 1 active duty military personnel
    There is a more detailed report made 2 months ago when it was reported to had been 1460 and not just 1148 titled:
    "I scrapped the information about 1096 of the 1460 killed on 7th of October Attack. Children Less than 1%"

      Every Israeli 18 years of age or older is either IN the IDF or SERVED in the IDF and are now in the "reserves" . Only those 17 and less were "civilians". So according to YOU 24 civilians were killed by HAMAS on Oct. 7th. No 'rapes" no babies "beheaded" just IDF LIES!

    After hearing Gabor Mate talking about the trauma aspect of it, I came up with this: a family two parents, two kids. Abusive parent (NAZIS) abuses the kids (Jews) and the other parent (non nazi Germans) knows (partakes) but doesn’t help the kids. One kid deals with the trauma and seeks justice and to help that stuff like that doesn’t happen to others. The other kid says: “I’m never again the weak one.” and starts abusing others. The second parent knowing what happened and feeling guilty lets the violent kid do what he wants and defends it even against the the sibling. (If you wanna go on: the role of all other parties UK, US, … can fit in too) // In the end we have Jews like Gabor Mate, Norman Finkelstein, Marek Edelmann, Ilan Pappe and on the other side Bibi Netanjahu and Co. And the Germans that can’t deal with stuff. All trauma.

      @@fun_ghoul No. As a German and patriot, I am of course fully behind the reunification of Germany. As an East German, I have a different view of international politics. For me, for example, personalities like Yasser Arafat or Nelson Mandela are great freedom fighters and idols. And not terrorists. Guys like Kissinger, Sharon, Genocide Joe or Netanyahu do. We learned that at school. Unfortunately, West Germans are often misinformed by US and Nazi propaganda from Tel Aviv. Or just ignorant and stupid.

    Could the collective German debt memory delight in saying. See, we aren't the only monsters!" I have been framing this in the guilt and shame of those who refused Jews to emigrate, who condoned the "final solution", or said "We didn't know" as the reason for the euro-american complicity. But this idea of delight is a powerful turn.

      I also think that Germans are secretly laughing saying to them self, now world have seen that they are worse than we are. And they are backing them because they are scared they will turn back in Germany after Israhell being dismantled.😁 What we also have learned is that Germans, British and Zionist worked together creating project Israhell, Oil was discovered in the middle East,so they need a proxy to control Arab countries oil. Palestine was occupied by British, they brought all the refugees to Palestina and the same year Israhell was recognized they start to expelling and killing Palestinian people. If you are real refugees surviver of camp, you don't do the same to those who took you in their house.

    This analysis is so profound and saddening. Especially at around 25:40 I jumped and recognized what I see in our politicians... I live in Germany and my taxes finance this madness as well as the Media appartus that never informed me about the Situation in Palestine 😢. Since I came here 14 years ago I was shocked at the implicit prohibition to talk about the wars critically; this is really decades in the making: people are kept comfortable and busy enough that they dont really think much and dont care about what happens around them. And whenever some movement is created to critisize the government, even if it is about covid or agrarian politics, they are labelled as nazis and silenced. It works so well that is macaberly brilliant!😣

From the very early beginning of this onslaught we've seen the most affluent neighbourhoods of Gaza (such as Al-Rimal) completely destroyed, infrastructure, houses, high-rises, schools, hospitals and all. IOF statements seem 100x times more gaslighting for anyone with the slightest knowledge of Gaza's urban geography.

    I think you're overthinking this, Mr. Omar. Anyone who is going along with what they are being told to think, it's simply due to unconsciousness. They get the 'vibe' from their society, whose guiderails are set by the government, that it is not acceptable to even CONSIDER a different way to see this conflict. So many people do not consider an alternative. i call it 'willful ignorance.' Think of it as the psychology of the 'highway,' where a citizen is often told to 'stay in their lane.' And likewise, with the effective use of social engineering, now also members of society are telling each other the same. So you have a fear of going outside of your lane, because the possibility is that you might be 'excommunicated' from your society. I don't think it primarily has to do with anything you're saying. Secondarily, yes, absolutely, the collective guilt and reinforcement of such playing a role in this stubborn blindness. My experience with such people is that they have NO IDEA what is actually happening in Gaza right now; they are simply not coming from an informed perspective. However, Germany also voted for the UN Resolution recently for a ceasefire, so they are seeing and acknowledging also some portion of what is going on.
    I highly highly recommend you read the uncensored version of Solzhenitsyn's final book. It is very difficult to find a good translation that is complete. I can send you a pdf via the contact portal at e.i.'s website if you so desire. It adds a certain depth of perspective to 'The Jewish Question' that is normally unacknowledged these days and adds one more piece to the puzzle of how we got here.
    A.S. details with extensive primary referencing to source material that the Jewish people that the Russians experienced did NOT enjoy farming the land; in fact they resisted it greatly despite being given land more than once. That’s a myth. They much prefer watching someone ELSE farm their land for them, or to live in the city and have a career that does not involve agriculture.     Another possibility worth mentioning is the ancient collective ritual of scapegoating. As you mentioned, Netanyahu has told the Israelis that the Palestinians were responsible for the Holocaust. Take a mentally-ill nation scarred by lifetimes of incessant war and conflict and implant in them that the divine enemy responsible for unimaginable atrocity is their neighbor and they will rush to annihilate that enemy in the expectation that the suffering of their lives can then be assauged.
    Perhaps you can’t say it, living in the West Bank, but I can say it because I have had many many interactions with Israelis in India, when they are just finished with mandatory military service. Israel is a nation of mentally ill people. There is even a psychiatrist to comes from Israel regularly to fetch the ones that ‘crack’ in Goa. They have an agreement with the Indian government to do this.
    And to my mind, the reason they boast to each other about their exploits and killings has to do with 'normalizing' what they know is aberrant behavior by seeking and receiving approval from their peers. 'Stanford Prison Experiment'. not an exact match, but speaks to the 'hive-mind.' And of course, what Gideon Levy says about 'the necessity of dehumanization' for any colonial or apartheid regime to persist.
    Your discussion helped me to see how Humanity is still learning that collective punishment, collective debt, collective anything is never appropriate or just. Not every German bears the same burden for the crimes of World War II, nor should they. Not every Israeli is equally guilty for what is happening in Gaza. Neither is every Palestinian deserving of punishment for October 7th. ALL of it is racism; all of it is grouping individuals together as if they are not singularly, humans with agency. Individual responsibility MUST return front and center if Justice is ever to be restored to Human Society, and this means the death of the Corporation--with its manner of shielding individuals for wrongdoing--and the end of the subservience of Juries and Judges to all other branches of government. As long as anyone is able to openly harm others without penalty, our civilisation will continue to crumble.

    Hello thank you for putting this out directly . I was a teacher for several years and two separate black parents/ families ask that I would hit their child with a belt if their child misbehaved. I didn't feel comfortable with this at all but I feel like there's a parallel to this end the current crisis.

      For a long time fascism was extremely marginalized in Germany. I honestly think the fascism that's seeping back in over the last decades has a lot more to do with the failures of the liberal democracy, economic problems, and the constant propaganda that comes with a global western media apparatus that is entirely controlled by the ultra wealthy. Many of today's alt right here in Germany clearly are inspired by American ultra conservative movements, not the Nazis.

Second, besides the few tokens who were Nuremberg'd 💀, Nazis by and large escaped consequence for their crimes. Third, even by the mid-fifties, "West Germans" were pissed off that they were being blamed for the Holocaust WHICH THEY CARRIED OUT.
      Also, young man, you lack an appreciation of the echoes of white supremacism which bounce back and forth between Europe and "the colonies". Like, "American ultra conservative movements" are literally the Richard Spencers doing the Berlin Swing, speaking well of the Austrian painter...and supporting the world's only remaining white ethno-state: The Zionist State.
      And honestly, you're trying to differentiate based on where you perceive the influence is from, but...what is this influence? And in what way(s) do these differ from old-time Nazis?     Not that the Balfour Declaration holds any legitimacy in most people's eyes, however Lord Balfour sought to put only ONE condition into that statement and to me, the fact that a condition was added to this 'letter of permission', this makes it a contract - We will agree do A. only as long as you agree do B. - The epitome of a contract. That condition was written as such, and I quote: ..."it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine,..." This of course meant that the Jewish people were going to get every assistance from the UK Government to establish their "homeland" in this region, but only on the one strict condition that nothing made life any worse for anyone already living there. That no-one there already became worse-off as a result. Balfour only put one condition in there, which tells me that he thought this of the greatest importance, enough to put it in there at all, so it was a very rigid condition in his mind worthy of specific mention where nothing else seemed to matter to him, and he expected it to be honored when he offered the bargain to the Zionists. And of course the Zionists have done nothing since but break this rule and make life a living hell for the Indigenous people of Palestine to the point now they want to do this 'final push' and get rid of them entirely, which has always been the case but now they are just showing their true face publicly and it looks like they feel 'it's now or never' and they think this is their historical time to triumph. (Sorry Israel, not happening.) While I know that the Balfour Declaration should never have been written and used (because the land was never really England's to give to someone else) I still think a breach of contract occurred (just my view and I'm entitled to it) and on this basis alone 'Israel' has forfeited any right to be there on this basis alone that it broke the only one single rule it had to follow in order to secure permission to proceed, and owes it's entire existence to this letter with that one condition included in it, therefore it should be dismantled completely for failing to uphold its end of the bargain and immediately handed back to the Indigenous Inhabitants and those who were expelled during this failed project and want to return home.

    It is not a coincidence that a week after Holocaust Memorial Day, in Israel, Memorial Day is celebrated for the martyrs of the IDF and the day after that, Independence Day... It is all related in the psychology of Israelis - "we were a victim, now we fight"... Note also that Israeli high school students usually take a trip to Poland with a tour of Auschwitz shortly before they enlist to the army.

    Of course without some sociological poll to prove his thesis, this remains speculation. But it's a very plausible interpretation of the behavior of European governments, corporate media and some of the populace. But as he notes, there are many anti-Zionist individuals in Europe who are being suppressed. There is a similar dynamic in the US though I think for a different set of reasons.

    I'm born and raised in effing germany in 1980, but my family is from turkey, so i've some ties there. And it's a grotesque joke, when germans are talking about "never again"... in 6th grade (age of around 12), i was raging because our teacher had refused to teach us anything about israel. I knew, that right-wingers were ruling there, but i didn't understand, why? I almost begged my so-called history teacher, to teach us something about, anything, but no, all we got to learn was hitler and holocaust, that was the whole "history class"... from 7th grade, I was excluded from the history classes completely, because I loudly refused to learn more about the right-wing Nazis and Hitler, if we don't learn anything about right-wing Israelis.
    And just a BTW, they all here in germany act like jews are so important for them, but in reality they even don't know what "jew" means. Or "muslim", "islam" or "iraqi"... they feel guilty and that's it...

    You have to understand what was going on in Europe 1870s-1910.
    The events in Europe late 1800 lead to surf/ pheasant uprising, constant rioting, financial crash 1890 was devastating and all the landowners lost everything. These event lead to division.
    It wasn’t something that happened overnight.

    Much respect to The Electronic Intifada, Tamara Nassar and Abdaljawad Omar. I want to say @40:00 minutes.....N.E. Africa was NOT always Palestinian as we know it today, that area is N.E. Africa, it sits on the tectonic plates of Africa. Turks and Turkish Arabs invaded N.E. Africa, you mentioned everyone else except the Africans. I can appreciate that in Arabia you will have Arabs, in Turkey you would have Turks, in Persia (Iran and Iraq) you would have Persians, and in Africa you would have Africans. In Gaza you have an area called the Slave Quarters (Abeed), i took the Shahada many years ago, but history is very important, and i won't deny the invasion of Africa, and i won't allow this narrative of Mr. Omar or others without a challenge. In the majority, just like the Europeans, you always violate us and expect no response.
