I went to school at Berkeley in the 60s and the recent free speech freeze on college campuses is totally disturbing. All these years and THOSE were the good old days?
When I was a student at IU Bloomington, I remember well the shanty towns set up right outside the student Union protesting South African Apartheid. They were there 24 hours a day and were left unmolested by University and City governments.
Thank you all 3. I think of none of the evil happening in Palestine, which leaves me never having listened to any of the good souls speaking and leading the speakers.

Wow, what amazing guests. I've seen Dr. Abdou on the Red Nation podcast and he is very impressive. So is Mr. Greene. But I was very taken with Dr. Abdou's analysis of the current situation and its connections to the US as a settler/colonialist/white supremacist/genocidal project that continues to this day. This matches what I've recently read in Dunbar-Ortiz's book "an indigenous people's history of the united states." Also I love to hear his book references.

”Take the worst things about Hamas, multiply it by 1,000 and it still will not meet the Israeli repression and killing of Palestinians" ~Gabor Maté, Holocaust survivor
Donors to academia should have no right to dictate the direction of learning, just like political donors should have no say on legislation. I know, I’m dreaming.💭 I hope the younger generation will do a better job of changing the world because as a GenX I’m feeling defeated. Thank you for all the work that you do 🙏🏼❤️
Correct. The United States GIVES a ton of Benjamins to israel>>>only to watch a significant portion of those same Benjamins coming back to the United States to fund aipacs political influencing assaults on the American people. Disgusting. IT HAS TO STOP.
I went to school at Berkeley in the 60s and the recent free speech freeze on college campuses is totally disturbing. All these years and THOSE were the good old days?
Bryce Sir. Thank you !!!!!
The Students are on the right side of History.
"There is no such thing as Palestine in history, absolutely not." -- Arab Princeton Professor, Philip Hitti, before the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry in Jerusalem in 1946.
In 1937, Secretary of the Arab Higher Committee to the British Peel Commission, Awni Abd al-Hadi stated: “There is no such country as Palestine. ‘Palestine’ is a term the Zionists invented.”
"We [Palestinians] were never an independent state in history, we were part of an Arab state and an Islamic state.” -- Palestinian Hamas Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahhar (quoted in The Economist, February 2, 2008)
"Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria." Syrian President Hafez al-Assad [Addressing the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization Yasser Arafat during a meeting with leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1976]
Zahir Muhsein was a Palestinian leader of the pro-Syria As-Sa'iqa Ba'athist faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization between 1971 and 1979.
In an interview with Trouw Magazine, 31. March 1977 he stated....."The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons. The establishment of a Palestinian state is a new tool to continue the fight against Israel and for Arab unity...........................

Save us from fascism. Defend free speech.
@Yaalah irrelevant to this conversation. And your comment clearly reveals who you are. Nothing to be proud of, knucklehead
The students are always right.
This guest needs to be on more ❤

Thank you for this brave report in the face of McCarthyist prosecution, militarized police brutality, doublespeak, censorship and outright repression. I am very grateful.
Excellent discourse.
Bryce green you could be one of the great talkers
Is any other minority group in America given this level protection? Not from what I can tell. In other words, some ethnic groups are more equal than others. This is legalized apartheid. 10:51
Agree. The United States GIVES a ton of Benjamins to israel>>>only to watch a significant portion of those same Benjamins coming back to the United States to fund aipacs political influencing assaults on the American people. Disgusting. IT HAS TO STOP.
Thank you, Dr. Abdou for distilling the conflict to its essence and for issues on alternative futures. Hopefully, he's writing a book elaborating on the content he spoke on here.
Thank you for reporting ,it look like that the freedom of speech is banned.
Democracy ,is not present in the United states, ruling class .the United states is imprisoned in an idealogical policy at the present.will it take a catastrophic incident to change this policy.
Thank you ,Nora EI fOR reporting.
Your guests are intelligient and has humanity.
I am so grateful to have found this channel. I’ve learned more about the country I was born and raised in in the last few months than I ever have in my entire 49 years on this earth. I have been able to create a playlist of amazingly educational channels about varying ideologies, geopolitical issues, corruption, capitalism, fascism, etc. This was an exceptional episode and conversation. I wish I could have a 5 hour long coffee get together with both of them.
“Advance Independent Vocational Formation” AIVF, no need for Universities.
In our millions and our billions we are all Palestinian 🇵🇸🇮🇪

Love and peace from another voice in Ireland 🇮🇪
Nora,
Your new hair style is absolutely cute.
And we call America ‘the land of the free’.
Dr. Abdou is imagining things beyond the nation state, but is also relying on lawyers and courts to advocate for his own rights...
Western Illinois University in Macomb, Il is very open to free speech and no policies against protesting on or off campus.
Students vote JILL.STEIN, who stood with you on a campus and was arrested. This will make a difference. She is on 95% of the ballots and a write in as well..all but 3 states now.
the kids need protective equipment to keep them safe. Helmets, goggles, gloves and masks.
"kids"? are you 70 something?
It’s time to double down on protests.
Professor Mohamed Abdou, wow, such clarity and conviction. No wonder they’re afraid of thoughts and words.
This resistance comes from a handful few of organised people who sacrifice much and receive little to nothing from the same public who claim to support them.
An optimistic and enlightening discussion. Thank you all,👏🏻
"I said: 'Get me President Bush on the phone,'" Olmert said in a speech in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon. "They said he was in the middle of giving a speech in Philadelphia. I said I didn't care: 'I need to talk to him now.' He got off the podium and spoke to me."
- Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert in 2009

Who’s really in control of America?
Many of my friends who are Catholic do not feel safe at schools, on the job (especially healthcare workers), or attending Catholic studies.
Clarify : Don't feel safe from Z.
catholic studies...... you mean vatican clones??
Really? I'm a recovering Catholic. That's crazy

Be glad you aren't in Jerusalem, there Armenian Christians are under attack from settlers and the state of Israel. They want their land for jewish only
Keep in mind. The "special" people pushed forward should be suspected as controlled opposition. Ambitious youth who take the ticket. "... don't get fooled again!"
Thank you for covering this. Excellent. As always!

Maybe as short as a years time; they'll find their investments are nothing. Time to engage their so called brains to the problem. Perhaps education is a multi faceted process not a commodity.
