Amazing Chevy K/5 Blazer build "The Blenali" we put a 6.0L engine under the hood!

- This is a project made in Mexico of an 89 chevy Blazer.
We used a 2004 GMC Denali XL with a 6.0 engine, everything was taken from the Denali but the body, we took the frame, suspension, engine, transmission, complete dash.
The frame was shortened about 2 feet for the Blazer body to fit, the suspension had a few modification to fit the 2.0 reservoir Fox shocks.
An aluminium roll cage, bumpers and seats were custom made.

Great job guys. I like the attention to detail that went into this , a lot of projects like this get sloppy. I’ve always loved the K5s and I bet this runs and rides like a dream. I’m getting another soon that I’ll be putting a 6.0 and 4L80e in but I’ll retain the chassis with solid axle and leafs. But what with that IFS in the dunes I bet it takes it well.
Bondo over the rust where they flared the fenders...great job. That paint job wont last too long.

LOVE the pulled out fenders! Even with bondo, I can imagine what a pain in the ass it was to get those straight. Never seen that method used before. Would've loved to have seen it stay a complete Blazer, but nice work!

My guess is its registered as a Blazer because he kept the Blazer firewall where the VIN tag is. But that's Mexico, they got different rules. You can do it either way here in the states but I would suggest checking with CHP because they will do the vehicle inspection and the state smog referee if titled in a smog check county or state. California 👎

La medida del rin(aro) es 17x10 pulgadas y la llanta es 35”x12.5” pulgadas

Guessing they scrapped the body easier to have alot of smaller sections then one big suv body moved

Todo muy padre pero esas llantas no sirven para Al desierto. Estan muy duras
Buen trabajo, pero no veo la extensiva modificacion. Practicamente solo montaron una carroceria vieja en un chassis moderno. No le veo ningun grado de dificultad.
Para haber grado de dificultad, hubieran usado el chasis viejo, elegir los ejes adecuados para offroad, adaptar frenos de disco, sentar motor y transmision en el chasis viejo, trabajo de recableado...etc.
Les quedo muy bien la camioneta, pero tambien tiene mucho enjarre de bondo. Desde k se invento el bondo, se triplicaron los maestros.
Es una camioneta nueva vieja, en lo unico que batallaron fue en acoplar la carroceria.
