There was a question about why the bobbin does not wind evenly. I had that issue and found that I wasn’t firmly putting the thread around the tension disc when winding the bobbin. Once I did that, it wound evenly.
Can anybody locate a part number for that horizontal spool pin attachment? I looked through the accessories book on Bernina’s site and I don’t see it in there.
I HAVE a question on using floriani and is acorn thread in my 880 plus. When I use Floriani on top with Isacord in the bobbin I get thread breaks hook jams and errors. What can I do to eliminate errors when using different thread in the bobbin and on top. I rarely get errors with Isacord on top and in bobbin especially with embroidering but if I mix thread, I get problems. Thanks
The best tip is to test and try different combinations of thread, needles, stabilizers until you have the combination that works for your project. I am not familiar with acorn thread- so I don't have much advice specific to it- but some threads do better with some lubrication and thread nets.
Absolutely!!! Thread degrades in UV light. Ask any dry cleaner about cleaning curtains hung in sunlight...the fabric disintegrates. Never keep thread exposed to sunlight. Particularly natural fibers.
