You really are a gem of a youtube creator, there are no half measures. You release a full paper written guide, full cinematic build guide and the end result is a brilliantly functional, and beautiful desk PC. There is no waffle, all the shots are amazing, super high production quality, all done by yourself. This truly is a piece of the absolute highest youtube video quality and lots of other people could learn from this.
No one could have said it better! That's actually everything this channel has been for me since i started watching. The production quality is from another planet. There are hardly any channels who could keep up with that. I hope you (DIY Perks) sees this. I really want to say thank you! You are awesome and should continue what you are doing for the sake of quality DIY builds. :)
@@greencactusgaming2101 you might surprised to hear that these modern components are extremely power efficient and that power consumption really hasn't increased much. Furthermore, a lot depends on the quality of the PSU rather than the wattage. A good quality (platinum+) 600W would be the minimum recommended for this build I would have thought

@@mellak001 Why? I checked a couple of PSU calculators and a 7800x / GTX 2080 / 64 GB DDR4 build like this (with the drives) has a psu load of around 500W. 600W is enough ^^

@Henry M. Not an atheist. I'm agnostic. But if there is something, then I'm sure that there are either multiple gods who do their own job, or the god as we know it isn't almighty and we have no reason to thank him since he couldn't do anything about it.
(I could explain in detail why, but this isn't really the place for that and I don't really have the time to do it :p )

I would love to see a LTT video critiquing this build. For example, Mechanical hard drives... floating to vibrate and move will lead to failure far earlier than they should.
They should do a colab that would be awesome!

This build really has everything and is so perfect. Noise isolated, water cooled, in-desk, and all while looking really elegant and subtle. The idea of having it in the back under the desk it so good. All of it is so well executed that it's really satisfying. This is by far the best PC build video I have ever seen. Most of the time I get bored after 5 mins, but I've watched all 30 mins of this 3 times over. That's not even to mention the editing and the brilliant commentary, which makes the whole thing so pleasurable and relaxing to watch. 2.5 million views is quite a lot, but this deserves more, at least 20 mil
He sounded like the people who sent the parts to him for the build were very inpatient, probably pestering him for updates! they must have thought he wasn’t worth the wait for their crappie parts.
But when he released the project they must have melted like ice cream in the Sahrah desert.
This man is a Master at DIY.. and more so in explaining his work.. true inspiration for ever one out there... makes it look fool proof..

Exactly, tho cooking video is hard enough, cant imagine in this project scale. I find it hard to concentrate doing things while also filming the process
He also made a manual guide about this build with detailed explanation and measurements plus some tips, it really took a long time and patience (sorry for my bad english)
This is beautiful, and the fact that it's powerful, expandable, super silent, and subtle (until u look for it) is just amazing.
I think i will be speaking for many if I said this should be commercially produced.

I built my first PC back in 1995, I've seen hundreds of build videos, especially in the last 5 years on UA-cam. This is, by far, the most spectacular!

This is incredibly inspiring. As you stated it is a mixture of nearly any diy technique. And demonstrating that even rubber band can be useful in a computer build :-) It is a marvel that you can make it look easy.
This is a great way if you have no space and being able to us a desk. This looks awesome and is aesthetically and gives feng shui great job. Love the way you used double pane glass and rubber bands to damping the noise by isolating it. The fact that you still us all of your DIY stuff like you mic, light panel, light bars, etc. is awesome. Like most have mentioned you are the Bob Ross of DIY.

Your vids are amazing man. I couldve sworn I had been watching a 15 minute vid with how efficiently you pack your videos and I stop to look down at its 2:56 in. I have a home office that I want to use as a gaming room, but the computer desk etc takes up a lot of space. I've considered something exactly like this for some time, and you've just inspired me to do it.

Out of the entire build, its the capacitive switches that blew my mind.
out of curiosity why? you use capacitive touch switches everyday they are in TONS of electronics. Your phone screen is capacitive touch and it not only works as a button but can detect exactly where the press occured. My monitor has them, my toaster, my coffee maker. I made some for a project 20yrs ago, just wondering why that is what blew your mind.

True that capacitive switches are not something new. But his implementation of it, along with the flush brass finish is just damn gorgeous and inspiring. One thing that irks me is that he didnt make a switch for a reset button. Another minor thing is the buttons are not labeled (small engraving on the MDF or on the brass button would do). But like i said, it is minor detail on an otherwise a beautiful built

When he finally stated why (on twitter) and provided a picture of them being glued to a wall, Corsairs only response was: "Well, at least you can't drop them now". I was dead lmao xD

I'd like too see a more in-depth video on the capacitive touch switch's.
Check out TTP223 datasheet or just look them up on google. Loads of info if you are really interested.

get a relay module and a capacitive touch switch.... connect them to your power supply, connect the i/o pin of the relay and switch together and thats about it.
if you have no idea what i am talking about: i STRONGLY recommend you to learn some eletronic basics, because you deal with mains voltage here!!
Get some Arduino starter kit for example.

Kinda needs its own name doesn't it. It's not a desktop or a tower (I think you can call an all-in-one a desktop) and I don't think 'desk PC' quite does it. Perhaps a in-table PC?
When comparing the noise levels I can't hear a difference between the recording with the glass and without the glass.
The noise was masked by the idle noise of my own pc... xD

or just three 144hz monitors...1440p ones. No need for a "5k ultrawide" that is 60hz, this is a gaming pc not an editing one. I swear people hear "higher resolution" and they think they need it but it's just not practical.

This would be very appealing in sound recording studios. Maybe even having a fold-down shelf holding a midi piano keyboard on top

when installing computers for sound studios we simply use thunderbolt cards like this one... www.asus.com/us/Motherboard-Accessories/ThunderboltEX_II/ and then a thunderbolt docking station with its own power at the desk area and the PC/Server room can be up to 100Metres away(but man are the cables expensive... a 10m cable runs about $200)
