Wow, thank you for this great video! As a tornado sailer I really would like to try this. But...how do you control your sail while sitting with the mast in your back?
Wow, that is quite an accomplishment. I can't imagine sailing that far in a DN, my back and neck started aching just watching the video! Did folks sail it continuously, or did they get out to stop, stretch, and warm their fingers? What was the overall elapsed time? It had to be close to 3 hours of sailing for the DN's, I'd guess. A very impressive accomplishment, and looks like a fun day on the ice! I wish I was there with my Nite.
The DN that won never stopped. The boat was very well tuned such that it wasn’t as much work as an untuned boat. I think he finished in under three hours. The other top finishers never stopped, it wasn’t that cold. The real effort was working the wind, constantly sheeting in and out.
Loved that! Thanks. Only thing I miss living in Florida. Pretty short ice boating season here...
Thank you for the great video.
Great video and turnout of boats! Looked like an awesome race! 🤠👍
Nothing beats ice boating.
So cool. And you will never need foils!
It's chaos out there

Always close-hauled on Skeeters for the most part.
