  • If there’s one thing that takes me back to my childhood, it has to be my morning bowl of cereal. And who didn’t love the way Kellogg's® Australia Coco Pops® turned the milk chocolatey? Well, I may have adulted since then, but some things never get old. Here, I’m turning a childhood favourite breakfast cereal into a decadent no-bake dessert. This is my NO-BAKE Coco Pops chocolate cheesecake.

    Of course, I remember now. Marion was on Australia Masterchef. I'm an American living in Australia and do appreciate having Australian recipes, as so many American products are not available Australia and we need to substitute ingredients or make our own from scratch. Yes we have cocoa pops cereal here, but I think they call it cocoa puffs. Thanks Marion. She has a great personality too.

      Pebbles are more like choco flakes. Though I'd think its close too. Cocoa Krirpies is the exact name though.

    I've never heard of or seen Copha in the UK. Is coconut oil ok instead?

    • @MartinME3
      @MartinME3 6 місяців тому

      According to my research since I am making this tomorrow. Crisco Shortening is a direct replacement. It's a neutral flavor fat. Copha is Hydrogenated coconut oil, and crisco which is the closest in the US is a blend of soybean oil, fully hydrogenated palm oil, and regular palm oil which is close enough. Though there are subtle differences .

    Lovely recipe. I am not able to get platinum strength gelatin, can l use gelatin granules, if so, how much please. Thank you.

    • @MartinME3
      @MartinME3 6 місяців тому

      From my research you can use regular unflavored gelatin or however you called powdered gelatin where you live. This is the measurement I found on my research: "In baking and cooking, if you're substituting powdered gelatin for gelatin sheets, the general rule of thumb is that one gelatin sheet equals about 1 teaspoon (approximately 2.5 to 3 grams)"
