The rod that runs from the radiator to the firewall is the upper radiator stay. I owned an MB military for many years, and the radiator is mounted at the bottom and via the stay to the firewall. It makes it very quick and easy to remove the radiator in service.
You did a dam good job on this jeep I loved the add-ons I am going to have to get this kit Andy at Andy's Hobby headquarters did a review on this kit and the detail is excellent ones again a great build of a great kit
Really looks authentic mate. Fantastic build! Is it possible for you to provide details of the paints / colour used for your project? I am about to embark on a 1/25 scale of the Jeep. Cheers, Rod
Thanks for your comments. The main colours for the jeep used were, Tamiya Acrylic : Red Oxide undercoat, XF 62 Olive Drab mixed with XF 51 Khaki drab 50:50 and then lightly with XF51 around the panels just to highlight areas and blur in the different tones. Engine block was XF 62 ,slightly different to the chassis and body panels. I hope this helps you.
Thanks for your comments. I used 26 gauge wire, nickel plated copper, four strands slowly wound together with a rotary tool and primed painted XF 59, or something similar, then used Tamiya Black and Brown panel line wash.
Hey Bud, Just come across your video and it's great, I've just purchased this kit! and would like to know if you have a link for all the extra's you have on you're jeep.
@@sierrahobbys1883 Sol dose have good products but most of everything is out of stock. The owner has just messaged me on some figgers I ordered but are also out of stock.

Nice work on this model. What type and size wire did you use for the rope? Color? You did a great job on the ‘rope’.

😊 Thanks. The stowage and weapons are from SOL Resin kits. All my references were from" green dot 19" youtube channel.
Sorry that's Greendot 319
Please let me know where you obtained the M-1 Garand. Thanks. Lovely work.
😊 Thanks. These were SOL Resin from Hong Kong.
Brilliant work.
Thanks very much 😀
Only come to know this company from Korea when search to accessorize this jeep. It's a pity Takom leave it so empty.
Fantastic. Please pass on the details for the extras that can fit with this kit and the German stuff
attention to detail
Thanks 😊. Extra stowage and weapons are 'SOL Resins' and you can get good references from UA-cam 'Greendot 319'

Excellent!!!, looks great with all the accessories.
Please let me know if you would ever consider taking on commission work!!! 🙂
Thank you Juan.
This is stunning! Excellent result! Takom should really push harder with the figure though. The face is quite awful.
Thanks 😊
Perfect!
Thanks 😊
Thought they had done a really good job on the driver, but it seems I was wrong.Another better head is easy enough.
I think there are after market resin figures for this kit that would be better.
@@sierrahobbys1883 In a review the figure looked much better. The body will do,just use a better head.
Stuart
😊 Thanks.
Amazing result, looks fantastic. What were the weapons slings made from?
Thank you. 😊 I made them from white card and took the measurements from a 1/16 Alpine figure set. It's not 100% accurate, but it has the look.
