theres a lot of these blacksmithing channels on youtube, but i personally think this is the best one seeing how energetic this guy is, he really seems to enjoy his work unlike a lot of the other ones or the ones that have a lack of work ethic which is very apparent
If you want to make food making tools you should make a waffle iron. Once made, you can cook waffles inside your forge. Just don't forget that as the waffle goes into your forge to have your Iron imprint your mark upon it.

@@ComandanteJ Yep, they often had water powered hammers. Water wheels turning cams that raised the heavy hammer heads, the mass of them drove them down. They where used for smithing and other industrial processes like breaking down chunks of ore for smelting.
I’ve been a machinist most of my life. As some know, forging is truly the early history of that. I am excited to head towards retirement learnig the craft of forging, and thank God for young men like this to inspire us old goats in the ancinent skills. Love his beginners advice of ‘make 100 of these!’ as the crafts require muscle memory as much as skill. My 55 year old arms will hate you, but its sound guidance!

maybe when you etch smaller pieces you could put into use something like a frying basket-- to submerge the pieces but keep them easily retrievable. at least for etches that are just for reference/testing
