    I’ve watched a lot of pallet busting videos and this is the first time where I’ve seen one that has that wedge over there on the wall to hold the pallet down when you’re taking it apart. Good idea.

    My pallet buster came with the handle attached. Also bought the ‘Air Locker’.
    GREAT combo!

      I’ve seen the ones with handles just wasn’t sure how strong they’d be so got this one instead. Great combo!

      @@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman My handle is welded in place.
      Impossible to make it any stronger.

    I’m glad I came across your video. I’m really getting into pallet building and I have the pallet buster but that palm nailer looks awesome because that’s one of the downsides is extracting all the freaking nails. I just checked harbor freight and they have them for $30. I still thinks it’s worth it. I love harbor freight and I know you do to because I’m always coming across your videos. Keep up the good positive work.

      That’s awesome! I’m glad the video helped! You should try the support on the opposite end of the pallet to help break them apart! It really helps! Thanks for the comment and hope ya subscribed! 😇

    Thanks for the video!!
    I don't know if you will see this comment or not, because your video was done a while back.
    I already have the pallet buster like yours. It's great! I got mine with the handle included for just a few dollars more.
    I do the middle row for 3-4 pieces, then I'll do the right side on the same boards, and then I go to the left side boards.
    My problem is sometimes on the last side of the pallet that I'm trying to get off the 2x4, it doesn't want to pull all the way loose. I usually have to yank and twist it. Sometimes it comes out good, sometimes it doesn't.
    You're Right. It's kind of heavy and a bit of a workout!!
    I have the Palm nailer from a deck project. My air compressor seems to always lose air, so I'm doing something wrong.
    It is a good idea tho!!
    What I've been doing is hammering the nails slightly back thru, so some head pops out. Then I take bolt cutters and cut the nail kind of short, so I don't have as much to pull back through.
    I did my pallets on site where I picked them up, so I can haul more. You can always use the weight of a cinder block, to hold the pallet down like you were showing, against the wall.
    Anybody reading this, I would get the wider pallet buster that will go over a 4x4 runner, like this one will.

      Hay Prayers to you and your journey to good health! Make sure you try my trick by adding a wedge to prevent the other end from flipping up. You’ll love how easy the process is! Thanks for watching!!!

      Luckily I work at a place that gets about 25 pallets a week. I can cherry pick the ones I want. Every now and then I get some brand new ones or some with awesome wood!

    I just purchased a pallet Buster with a 3 extension handle for $45 I haven't got to use it yet because it's raining outside and I have to do it in the yard but mine has a flat piece across the back that goes on the runners

  • @pauldeanda4985

    My friend, you are using the wrong type of hammer to pull those nails, which is taking more effort and time! You are using a framing hammer as apposed to a claw hammer, which has a more of a curved, and easier to pull out nails. Btw, the palm nailer is a great idea. I have one but it never crossed my mind to use it this way. Another easy way to take out nails, is to cut them with small bolt cutters, leaving them long enough to be able to grab them with the hammer claw after hammering them out.

    i would bet you a good finish on your pallet wall would be Minwax Polycrylic it dries hard as hell very durable and water based i used it on a Oak nosing on my kitchen countertops i built and lived in the house for over 25 years i used it on other peices too btw i believe Harbor Freight has the same palm nailer not sure on the price

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  4 роки тому

      That’s what I’m thinking too.... the Minwax Polycrylic! It should just make the wall “PoP”!!! That is exactly where I got this particular palm nailer! I love it!!! Thanks for watching!!!

    That tool may work on 3/8" pallet boards, but how would it hold up to removing 2" x 6" deck boards?
    I've seen some pallet busters being so light duty that their handles bend and even their forks distort when working on removing deck boards...

    • @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman
      @TheCrawlspaceCraftsman  6 місяців тому

      This thing would hold up. I’d bet money on it. Its welds are super strong and the pipe I used is the black heavy galvanized from the big box store! The head alone weighs about 10-12lbs! It’s a beast! I still have it!!

    You have the nicest newest pallets I’ve ever seen. 12 min video that could have been completely done in 3 minutes. If you want to teach efficiency start by keeping videos brief.
