I don’t really remember anything from Warped except for Tomb Time and the warp room. Crash 2, Wrath of Cortex and Mind Over Mutant’s soundtracks are the real deal.

I'm glad this era of witnessing Crash Bandicoot die is over. To me, the remasters imply that if there's gonna be an actual new Crash game, it's going to get some quality treatment and development.

I'm 17 now, and i still love playing this kind of beat 'em game of Crash since i was 9 years...
First Crash game that I played as a child, used to spend hours on this and replayed it a lot along with the wrath of cortex and Crash Tag Team Racing
Everyone has such polarising opinions on this game, but I wouldn't consider any of them very reasonable. This game is alright. Not bad. Not amazing. Alright.
It gives you a cool interconnected world to explore, a decent sense of humour, and a very fun and satisfying combat system if a bit lacking in depth and cheatable; on the other hand, the changing art styles are a nice thought but awkward in execution, and the endgame is not worth the effort. The beginning is a blast, and getting the Gorilla Scorpion was a big highlight for me as I got to cathartically crush every enemy in my path on my way to the desert; but Cortex's space station was so boring and easy to get lost in, and the final boss was pathetically underwhelming. Still, I felt the satisfying and varied playstyles of all the mutants made the journey worth it.
This game is worth playing, but not praising - and *definitely* not deserving of hate.
Does it live up to Crash's legacy? I haven't played enough of the originals to say, but I will admit not really, but being toxic towards the game and fans of it for not being good enough to make gaming history like the originals did just seems like unnecessarily trying to destroy a good thing.

I disagree, compared to titans the combat is bland and repetitive with no challenge, atleast in titans it was difficult to figure out which titans to use in certain scenarios, and the plat forming was difficult, although I also have personal hatred to this game since it bored me when I was younger, so I ended up not touching another crash game until crash 4

I remember playing this game when I was younger, and honestly I didn't recall ths graphics being this varied

In the game you can still do the spin, it helps alot
You can take on Cortex by yourself when he stops spinning. It's really fun, actually. Much more exciting without the help of the mutants.
In these games he can do still the spin, i actually remember it to be gamebreaking (OP) for taking over the mutants.
It is also a very awesome AoE to deal with the pesky little minions.
These games are literally spin2win.
But you get a dizzy after a few seconds, so you can't do it infinitely.
I bet if this wasn't a crash game, and just a new series, people would like it a lot more. A bit weird isn't it? Same game different mascot and people will probs say its better

It's a genius move to use the grimly against cortex. Slowing down time makes it easier to beat the crap out of him and it makes it so that he would have a slower time to make another move.

So I see they took the spyro route and changed everything. At least he looks familiar in these two games. In skylanders he looks off way off. They did to him what they did to spyro, those cruel heartless bastards.
They completely fucked up Spyro, but at least Crash can very easily be recognized. Just a slightly refurbished design.
At least the game is _about_ Crash.
Skylanders is basically its own series, and Spyro is there because... Really he just is.
