In this video I share my big take away after reading the Warden's Operation Manual for Mothership. It has great advise on how to break through resistance with starting a game.
love that you are talking about resistance and the desire to be perfect getting in the way of starting something new. And the warden's manual definitely needs more praise for how well written it is
@@MegaChiliMac it sure does need more praise let’s hope others see the video and we can get this more attention. That is for commenting it means a lot to me.
As someone looking to get into Mothership, Being a Warden, and being a GM for the first time, this has been amazingly useful, thank you for taking the time and providing great advice
Thank you for making this video. I’ve been eyeing the warden’s manual and looking for someone to do the video you just made. Very insightful and motivating.
Just bought it myself and agree with you on all points. I have such a hard time physically writing and my spelling is atrocious (spell check fixed that word for me). It does feel good to not worry about it and just start journaling when playing. It becomes second nature after a while. My spelling still sucks but the fact of being organized trumps it.
That is why I feel the advise is so good in the Warden's Manual. Just get at it and start writing. Glad you found the video helpful and don't worry about it being perfect. It just needs to work for you.

You comment means a lot to me. Knowing that it helps and you find it useful. Enjoy your journey being a GM.
Some of the best game advice I've heard in a long while.
@@artistpoet5253 Yes just get started and stop striving for perfection.

I feel it is full of good advise and worth having in my collection. I might print out a copy so I can make more notes as I read it.
Wow! This hit hard! Life - and GM - advice well received 👌
@@redbaronlast It makes me happy you took away some life advise from the video. Thank you for letting me know.
It's a really great manual; I need to reread it again now that I have the hard copy.
