Boo, I wanted to see Suede be a swamp thing as in the thumbnail, false advertising!
    :D
Ok I am not really mad it was a nice game, tho I skimmed it, should have gone Domination for a change since surely you were close. Probably would have closed out quicker, definitely in terms of turns.

A bit harsh on the suggestion of planting southeast of your cap so you would be able to irrigate the dessert way sooner? A bit unlike Suede. Do you mind elaborating why its such a dumb idea?

Sorry if I acted like it was a bad idea. It's clever, and the mechanics around corruption are convoluted enough that I might be wrong as to whether or not it's best. But in my mind, the plant is off fresh water, doesn't unlock any new food positive/neutral tiles. It would be the single closest city in our empire to our capital, meaning every single other city would become more corrupt as result of planting it.
It's also not free. It requires a settler and a bunch of worker moves to chain it over. On other maps, a settler wouldn't be a big deal, but here there's so much land that we have better things to do with them. By 210 BC we have irrigation accessible in the south. The window of it being useful is very narrow.

@@suedeciviii7142 Your the GOAT Suede. Answering before I've been able to complete the rest of the video.
Thanks for highlighting what I did not understand. In my mind, the thought of being able to grow the dessert citys faster, seemed optimal for the snowball effect. I did not take corruption into the equation. And also yes, it would have ended up costing more worker moves than I first thought.
Sorry for my comment, you werent harsh, but I did not get why it wasnt the best idea.
Again, your the GOAT Suede. I probably watch 3 hours of youtube a day, your the only youtuber I consistently come back to again and again. Your Canadianism is a great feature about you. Youre also very diplomatic with everything, your viewers, your perspectives and your thoughts always enlighten me, and this stuff is super usefull outside of games. Thanks for being you Suede :)
      Best wishes from Norway

@@sebastianbob3393 Thanks for the kind words! Again, corruption is not especially well understood, even at the top levels. A lot of players go based on vibes, and they can be wrong. So if your instinct would be the irrigation bridge here, don't feel like you're wrong in that!

I believe you asked what some of our most hated AI behaviors are. Here are my thoughts:
    - Breaking mutual protection pacts and ROPs when they declare war on you
    - Getting trashed in wars they started, then blaming you for their trade routes getting destroyed
    - Planting cities on your units, then telling you to leave
    - Leaving fortified units in your land after you make peace with them!!!
    - Charging stupid amounts of gold for useless techs
    - Building every building in their cap and still out-teching you on higher difficulties
