I really like how they took the time to juxtapose Ansbach with Kircheis during this scene. This was all lost on me the first time I watched this, but I think that the decision to include Ansbach in this part helps to characterize this men and sorta explain the actions they took in the throne room of Geisersburg Fortress. Very clever move on the OVA people's part (also it's worth noting that this entire plot with the assassination attempt on the kaiser wasn't in the original novels).
@@DIEGhostfish This is a 4 year old post and I've changed my entire life since that post so I can't say I remember every last detail of the books, but I listened to the first three novels on audiobook via Audible during the time I wrote that post (great experience; highly recommend) and that arc wasn't there. DNT must have copied the OVA.
@JohnDoe-hs1jp Remember, the OVA and DNT lineraize a lot of things or change the positions of flashbacks. In DNT, this was a leadup to Mittermeyer's rescue because it was on the revenge campaign after this that he executed the out of line noble.
There is a “parody” called Legend of the Galactic Heroes - Let’s Exterminate Demons. I recommend it, also seeing this because it related to this video.
I really don't get one thing: why is Kircheis always seemingly in a more servile state and Reinhardt a more dominant state given they are around the same age and had a childhood friendship. I understand that during military service given Reinhardt is in a higher rank, but it bothered me during other moments. Any thoughts?
He had a deep admiration for Reinhard and was in loved with Annerosse I mean when he met them he found them simliar to angels beautiful and pure and well they were nobles even if they were poor at that time and I think Kircheis had a bad concept of nobility but they were kind and exceptional in many ways in fact I always thought that he was a bit fascinated with them.
There needs to be a count of every time a character says "Kakka" in this show.
More than 700 times im sure
And how much times Yang Wenli says "yare yare" 😆
It would be mostly from oberestien
Don’t forget “heika”
Or a count of every time Oberstein comes and say "omachi kudasai, kakka"
I am so glad I found your channel today. There truly aren't enough LOGH shitposts, and all of yours are art.
Thank you.

...It was in DNT. So it must have been in the novels.

@@luxys18 I think the fact that they were kind nobles is a good theory. So he always looked upto them. Thanks.
Reinhard is a noble family and kircheis comes from a lower-than-average family, if memory serves me right
