The one paratrooper division being able to destroy the organization of all enemy divisions in a state is actually sort of accurate. The example of Normandy you gave? Yeah that actually happened. Although it was TWO American airborne divisions and I think one British airborne division. When they landed behind enemy lines the Germans were scrambling forces to deal with them. They didn't know where exactly they were, because even the airborne didn't know where they were. They all got scattered. And airborne training says if you can't find your objective, wreck sh*t. Cause a little chaos.
yeah but were the german garrison units on the beaches scrambling to mop up the allied airborne divisions? idk. but if they were then yeah its accurate its just too easy to launch naval invasions and paratrooper invasions in hoi4 in general i think.i would have thought the germans would have allocated special divisions to destroy the paratroopers, maybe those garrisoning normandy would have an org debuff, but not the ones on the ports. i was thinking maybe it could work like, all the divisions that the airborne division comes into combat with get a debuff just to illustrate how hard it is to defend against if you dont have a good enough airforce to prevent the launch in the first place.
Forget not the pioneer section of the US airborne units that landed before D-Day itself had landed in the vicinity of a German infantry division who were training... ...for anti-paratrooper techniques. Also forget not the literal hundres of dummy paratroops that were dropped all over the place,followed by the humans being equally scattered,with the Germans having basically told their commanders "they're everywhere". Concentrated attacks are one thing,but a spread that coats everything is harder to clean up.

Paratroopers (as well as a bit of sabotage done by the french resistance altbough it really was only a little bit, gets played up to be a lot more than it is) really fucked with the germans ability to bring up relief forces and not just the famous tanks that where going to push any allied footholds back into the sea, they didn't even bring up infantry to rotate into the coastal defences.

I like to think that the rangers give the artillery perfect real-time information on the exact location of every enemy asset as well as perfect accuracy enabling them to always hit in the exact location to maximize damage. Like threading an artillery shell through the slit in a bunker or direct hitting enemy infantry

That means that adding a ranger gives similar attacking potential to a full 50w of nothing but Super Heavy SPA
You know how if you nuke a province with enemy units in it, they take a ton of damage, but it only drops it down to a certain point, doesn't just instantly defeat it? This tactic there seems to be currently more powerful than outright NUKING enemy units, which... Yeah, that kind of says a lot, haha

Yeah it went live. They're really useless though as the terrain debuffs are flat instead of scaled with other battalions. So your entire division gets like -50% att in forests, hills and mountains if you add them.
wow isp that sure is a lot of various types of artillery, but maybe you could fix the division by getting rid of say... some or all of the infantry and the engineers? i really feel like that is what we will need from you

the fact that you can now use marines to raid enemy coasts and then immediately run away without a port is funny, and I love it.
What if you land with the temporary harbors all over thr place then leave as the real troops land to fight.

I don't usually read into all the specific division stats except width, but infantry seemed weirdly powerful since the DLC came out. Now I know why ;)
I don't think 40 org is horrible. Yes, the usual defensive unit would have around 50-55 org, but anywhere around 40 org is very good
