I’ve been playing this and it’s a fairly engaging game the only big issue that I have is that When you encounter bosses before you can actually fight them you basically get the same stealth mission over and over
I highly disagree about the storm and bosses being negatives, the storm is something meant to be stressful and tedious because it’s something the game wants you to avoid, the game itself are all about puzzles and that’s what the bosses are dynamic puzzles, as such dying would feel out of place when the point of the fights is to figure out the solution to the bosses patterns
@@user-bg1ls5cd1h To each their own. I found the experience beautiful and serene. I was never bored because I was so immersed in figuring out the mystery of both the lore and the mechanics of each of the puzzles
Maybe I missed it, but what platform is this game on? I will search it up myself, but it may be worth mentioning in the review or description. Like someone else also mentioned in the comments, I too would like to hear more about the music and sound design as it is an integral part to the overall feel and immersion of an clearly atmospheric game such as this. Otherwise, great review and my interest is piqued.
@@Kaori246 My bad, he did in fact specify platforms (PS4, PS5, Windows) at 0:20, albeit it was through very tiny text and quite easy to miss. Sadly, it is only available through the EPIC-launcher on Windows. I will pick it up should it ever become available through any other service.
Man so I really stand alone here. The visuals and music are gorgeous we all know that but I was just bored. Abzu was amazing but The Pathless felt empty. Should I finish it.
I'm contemplating buying it and yeh I see the positive reviews but it looks so empty... did you end up finishing it? Would you recommend it now that it's been 2 years since you played it?
I will get this game at some point, but not at the $60 price tag where I live. It looks great but I can't help but feel disappointment that I can't play this on my switch.
It doesn't provide any kind of challenge whatsoever... It's really repetitive. The "stamina" system is a mechanic designed to keep the player from falling sleep while running around a HUGE and mostly empty map. The story is forgettable.
Am I the only one who seems disinterested in this game? Seem's boring af, you run around shoot orbs and do a minor puzzle which isn't that hard to figure out.
This game is fucking incredible. Its not just shooting orbs and puzzles. You are traveling to the bosses for some of the best boss battles ever made, its just that in between them you have this very engaging movement with platforming elements that gives life to the whole journey. You also have to avoid the big red cloud so it all works togetwhr and makes a freaking masterpiece imo
You dont get it... Play it first and then come back. Because this game is amazing, it's not just fun to play and zip around its actually a fucking masterpiece
It's a shame how little attention sound design and music gets in reviews. It's such a vital part of video games, yet it wasn't mentioned once here.
True but it’s absolutely amazing in this game

Am definitely getting this ,its about time i show indie games some love
I love it! You would think it's a triple a game. Its put together so well.
Even if the stakes aren’t really that high in the fights, I still think they serve their purpose and make you feel like a badass.
100%
Love the art style, and after this review now I can also hope for an amazing experience.
Also on iOS if you have Apple Arcade

Umm just...avoid the cloud
Dashing hasn't been this fun since the first Gears of War.

Nice video, I like that Raiden has the attitude to stop the evil before it can begin.
Love this game! Only complain is the penalty system and lack of combat. Overall one of my new favorite game with its lore and characters.
amazing review!! thanks =D

The Legend of Journey: Breath of the Bird
really cause i played the game for 30 min and forgot about it
Game is great, sad you couldn’t get into it
That’s because the copy you bought is broken.
The gameplay you present here does not do the game justice. But nice video.

“There’s no combat in this title”. Thumbs up the video and I’m out. That’s all I need to know
This looks amazing to casuals because it makes them feel "badass" lol. Anything easily done today is gonna be impressive apparently.
