So for everyone that is so upset that I paid the man EXACTLY what he asked for...It was a business transaction like any other. I'm wondering when your grocery bill comes out to $50 do you give the supermarket $100? If your Walmart bill is $100 are you giving them $200? OR do you give them what they ASK for? And you're mad about quarters...they spend too don't they? People like to have change at a yard sale! Y'all need to calm down lol.
big difference between giving to a walmart or big business than an elderly person who probably needs the money and it was only five dollars not fifty or one hundred.
Not even remotely the same Tina. In this instance, and knowing the huge profit potential, it wouldn't have hurt you to offer a measly $5 more dollars OR looked for $5 more in merchandise. He obviously didn't know what he had and you did. Yes, it's business however it never hurts to give a little back, a little extra or pay it forward once in a while as it will come back to you.

Not the same thing as a grocery bill. Really not a good analogy comparing an elderly gentlemen at his garage sale to corporate retail. The measly additional 5 bucks could have been considered a tip to the grocery delivery person if you want to look at it that way. It just seemed a tad petty digging for change as opposed to just forking over the ten bucks so let's keep it real. We all screw up now and again and this looked petty and if you make the part of your life public, expect to get backlash when you do.
You cannot use those 2 instances as the same. Big box company like walmart verse some old man selling his wives old bowls are 2 different facets. What you did was just greed. I would of handed over the $10 as a kind gesture. Such a shame.

I agree with all the others..A $10 bill for the $200 plus Pyrex would have been in much better taste. Plus, you are always asking for lower prices on appropriately priced items.

I've just started your video and I watch you all the time but I had to comment right away, I would have paid him 10 dollars for those bowls. It would have been a different outcome in the comments if you had pulled out a 5 dollar bill and handed it over to him, but you didn't have one. You were scrounging around for change knowing what these were worth. Handing him a 10 dollar bill that you had a quite a few of would, have been a nice gesture. This is why it has upset a few of us because this didn't happen. Like I said in the beginning, I love your videos and I watch you all the time. You know your stuff, you know how to wheel and deal and you are entertaining but this transaction just didn't sit well for me and I was truly embarrassed for you as I believe many of us were and are.

I was a bit embarrassed for you when you were digging out quarters considering how much money you were shuffling through in your purse and wallet. Especially with you knowing how much those bowls are worth. It’s not always about how great a deal you get, sometimes thoughtfulness is more important.

I think what is bothering me is that the elderly are taken advantage of so much. I’m not saying that is what Tina did, but it skates so close to it it made me uncomfortable to watch. We do have to realize that anything in a garage sale is there to get it out of their house, at my sales I’ve been tempted to just give it all away so maybe that is how he felt about the bowls? I just don’t like the way it made me feel.

Wow, where was everybody? Those sales were quiet, but makes it nice too be able to look around.
Hold it up to a light source and look through the back of the disc. If you see any dots or scratches...it's damaged.
When inspecting dvds/cds/...or any disc media....you should always inspect the front....that's where all the media is kept

A typical markup in a retail store is 50%, meaning that the sale price is twice the purchase price of the merchandise. From the 50% over the purchase price the stores have to pay salaries, rent, utilities, etc. If Tina sell the $5 bowls for $200 her markup will be 97.5%.

Kindles use android type of chargers, easy to replace. And if they don’t immediately charge there are a lot of UA-cam videos on them. However if they are older, you can’t download to them, I think 2010 is the cutoff of age to download.

I don’t think people are haters just because they comment about a price on bowls and potentially taken advantage of of a seller who didn’t know better. I like Tina and her videos but this time her actions were showing a lack of character, yes character. If she had given him the $10 or even $20 and told the gentleman “ hey these are really worth a lot more so I’m going to give you $10 or $20 it would show character on her part. He was naive to the value, I wouldn’t say she took advantage because in her business you need to buy right, but that was just sad to see her do that because she could and not be a little more generous to the older unknowing gentleman. I was disappointed in her actions. I still love watching her but I would have expected better on her part. I’ve seen other resellers offer to buy things at a higher price and give a fair price instead of a low price. This wasn’t a $5 or &10 item. She could have come across so much better if she was just fair in her purchase….and not so cheap. Do the right thing and you won’t get comments like I’m reading.

There ALOT of hidden expenses in re selling, AND ALOT of time and effort. After she deducts all of her expenses, time. GAs taxes. It's not all that much. THOS IS HOW SHE SUPPORTS HER FAMILY! Don't like it? DONT WATCH..and if YOU want to schlep your way to 5842538 sales to come across a good deal, HAVE AT IT
No one is saying they don't like her, etc. They are voicing that they didn't care for her action on this particular sale. People are allowed to voice it. If Tina doesn't want to hear the bad along with the good, she can either not post or turn off the comments.
Most people are not being negative. Most watchers are also resellers and understand time, taxes, fees, etc.
Tina paid what the man was asking. I am a re-seller, though not nearly in her league, and eBay is a lot of hard work. Plus, the whole business model of reselling is your profit margin. Tina, I don't know how you kept so calm, when you scored those bowls!!! I would have wanted to dance, back to my car🙂
Many of us are resellers and know what it takes. There was plenty of profit margin and $5 in the overall scheme of things is not going make or break Tina but it would have gone a long way in fostering goodwill with a sweet seller AND her subscribers. If she'd just handed over $5 or found something else to purchase to make up the difference it wouldn't have seemed nearly as petty as hemhawing, almost guilting the seller and scrounging for quarters. I've seen many resellers who almost insist that a seller take double or more on even $50 because they know the potential return. It's about principle and character...we see Tina get great deals with sometimes almost obscene profits and i also see mostly take and very little give. It's very apparent by the comments that I'm not the only one who was disappointed and thought it was in extremely poor taste. I'd hoped and would have respected if Tina would respond and say " hey, you guys were right, maybe I should have thrown him a bone" but all I've seen is clapback and defensive, dismissive comments. Sad.
